The door to Aurora’s hospital ward opened suddenly, and Raphael strode in, his face lighting up as he saw the peaceful atmosphere inside. His eyes landed on Damian, who was standing near the bed with the baby in his arms, and then shifted to Aurora, who was still resting. Luna, who stood nearby, turned toward Raphael with a bright smile.
“Raphael,” Luna called softly, walking over to him. Without hesitation, she hugged him warmly. “Look, isn’t the baby beautiful?” she asked, her voice filled with excitement.
Raphael smiled down at her, his hands gently resting on her shoulders. “Yes,” he said with a soft chuckle. “She’s perfect. A tiny little miracle.” He paused, his teasing grin returning. “What about you, Luna? Do you want one?”
Luna’s cheeks flushed a deep pink, and she quickly looked away. “Raphael!” she exclaimed, swatting his arm playfully. “Stop teasing.”
Damian, who had been quietly watching the exchange, smirked. “Raphael, leave her alone,” he said, though there was amusement in his tone. “This is Aurora’s moment, not yours.”
Raphael raised his hands in mock surrender. “Fine, fine,” he said, still grinning. “But you have to admit, Damian, this little one is already stealing the show.”
Damian rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his smile. He glanced at Aurora, noticing the subtle movement of her fingers. “She’s waking up,” he said softly, his voice filled with tenderness.
Luna immediately rushed to Aurora’s side, her hand gently brushing over Aurora’s. “Aurora,” she said excitedly, “wake up. The baby is here. She’s so beautiful.”
Aurora’s eyelids fluttered open, her gaze unfocused for a moment before it settled on Luna’s smiling face. “Luna?” she murmured, her voice weak but filled with warmth. “What… the baby?”
Luna nodded quickly, her eyes glistening with happy tears. “Yes, Aurora! She’s here. She’s perfect.”
Damian stepped closer to the bed, cradling the baby securely in his arms. He looked down at Aurora, his expression softening as he saw the love and curiosity in her eyes. “Aurora,” he said gently, “meet our daughter.”
Aurora’s breath hitched as Damian slowly leaned down, carefully handing the baby to her. Her hands trembled slightly as she took the tiny bundle, holding her close to her chest. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked down at the baby’s delicate face.
“She’s… beautiful,” Aurora whispered, her voice breaking with emotion. A single tear slid down her cheek as she gently touched the baby’s soft cheek with her finger. “I can’t believe she’s mine.”
Damian sat on the edge of the bed, his hand resting on Aurora’s shoulder. “She’s ours,” he said softly. “And she’s perfect, just like her mother.”
Aurora glanced up at him, her tears flowing freely now. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude and love. “For everything.”
Damian leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. “No, Aurora,” he said, his voice low and sincere. “Thank you. You’ve given me everything I never knew I wanted.”
Luna, standing beside the bed, wiped at her own tears. She reached out to gently touch Aurora’s arm. “Aurora,” she said with a soft laugh, “you’re a mom now. Can you believe it?”
Aurora smiled through her tears, shaking her head. “It feels like a dream,” she admitted. “But it’s real, isn’t it? She’s really here.”
Raphael, who had been quietly watching from a distance, stepped closer, his usual teasing grin replaced with a genuine smile. “Congratulations, Aurora,” he said warmly. “She’s perfect.”
Aurora looked up at him, her smile widening. “Thank you, Raphael,” she said softly.
Raphael turned to Luna, his grin returning. “Now, Luna,” he said, his tone teasing once more, “when are you going to give us a little one like this?”
Luna groaned, covering her face with her hands. “Raphael, stop it,” she said, though her voice was light with laughter.
Damian chuckled, shaking his head. “Raphael, let it go,” he said. “This isn’t about you and Luna.”
Raphael shrugged, clearly enjoying himself. “Fine, fine,” he said, raising his hands in surrender. “But don’t be surprised if I keep asking.”
Aurora laughed softly, her heart feeling lighter than it had in months. She looked down at the baby in her arms, her heart swelling with love and protectiveness. “She’s so tiny,” she said, her voice filled with wonder.
“She’ll grow,” Damian said, his eyes fixed on the baby. “And we’ll make sure she has everything she needs.”
Aurora nodded, her tears finally slowing. “She’s lucky to have you,” she said, glancing at Damian. “We both are.”
“And I’m lucky to have you,” Damian replied, his voice firm. He leaned in and pressed another kiss to her forehead, his hand gently brushing her hair.
Luna and Raphael exchanged a glance, their smiles matching. The room was filled with warmth, love, and the promise of a brighter future for the little family.
