Dante woke up earlier than usual, the morning sun barely peeking through the curtains. Today was a special day-his and Isla’s seventh wedding anniversary. Seven years. It still amazed him how time had flown by, from the moment he first laid eyes on Isla to now, sharing a beautiful life with their two children, Amara and little Leo.
Glancing at Isla, who was still sound asleep beside him, he smiled. Her long lashes rested gently against her cheeks, her lips slightly parted as she breathed softly. Even after all these years, she still took his breath away.
Carefully, he slipped out of bed, making sure not to wake her. He had been planning this day for weeks, wanting to make it perfect. He tiptoed to the nursery, peeking in on Leo, who was curled up in his crib, snoring softly. Then, he checked Amara’s room, where their five-year-old was hugging her stuffed bunny tightly.
Dante made his way downstairs, dialing a number as he leaned against the kitchen counter. “Everything set for tonight?” he asked, his voice low but firm.
“Yes, Mr. Dante,” his assistant replied. “The arrangements are all in place. The yacht is decorated as per your request, and the chef has the menu finalized.”
“Good.” He smirked. “Make sure everything runs smoothly. My wife deserves nothing but the best.”
After ending the call, he prepared breakfast-pancakes with fresh berries and honey, Isla’s favorite. Just as he placed the plates on a tray, he felt small arms wrap around his leg.
“Daddy?” Amara’s sleepy voice mumbled.
He smiled down at her. “Good morning, princess.”
She rubbed her eyes. “Why are you up so early?”
“Because today is a special day,” he whispered, crouching to her level. “It’s Mommy and Daddy’s anniversary.”
Her eyes widened with excitement. “Oh! Are we gonna have cake?”
Dante chuckled. “Maybe later. But first, let’s surprise Mommy with breakfast in bed.”
Together, they carried the tray upstairs. Amara carefully climbed onto the bed, kissing Isla’s cheek. “Mommy, wake up!”
Isla groaned softly before opening her eyes, only to be greeted by the sight of her daughter’s beaming face and Dante holding a tray of her favorite breakfast.
“Good morning, sweetheart,” Dante murmured, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead.
Isla blinked sleepily before a warm smile spread across her lips. “You made breakfast?”
He nodded. “For my beautiful wife on our special day.”
Her heart melted as she sat up. Amara snuggled close to her while Dante placed the tray in front of her. “Happy anniversary, love,” he whispered.
“Happy anniversary,” she replied, eyes twinkling with happiness.
The morning was spent in warmth and laughter, with Amara demanding bites of pancakes and Leo eventually waking up to join the fun.
A Grand Romantic Surprise
The day passed quickly, and soon, evening arrived. Isla was curious about Dante’s plans, but he had been unusually secretive.
“Dante, tell me where we’re going,” she pressed as she got ready.
He simply smirked. “Patience, my love.”
She narrowed her eyes at him but eventually gave in. Dressed in an elegant wine-red gown that hugged her curves perfectly, she looked breathtaking. Dante, in a tailored black suit, couldn’t take his eyes off her.
“You’re staring,” Isla teased.
He stepped closer, his fingers tracing her waist. “Can you blame me?” he murmured against her ear.
Her cheeks flushed, and she playfully pushed him away. “Let’s go before you decide to ruin your own plans.”
Chuckling, he led her outside, where a sleek black car awaited. As they drove, Isla watched the city lights flicker past, excitement buzzing in her veins.
When they finally arrived at the marina, her breath hitched. A beautifully decorated yacht floated under the moonlight, adorned with fairy lights and red roses.
“Dante…” she whispered, touched beyond words.
He took her hand. “Tonight is all about us,” he said softly.
A private dinner was set up on the deck, the table adorned with candles and petals. Soft music played in the background as the gentle sea breeze kissed their skin.
As they settled down, Dante poured them each a glass of wine. “To us,” he toasted, his deep eyes locked onto hers.
Isla clinked her glass against his. “To us.”
The food was exquisite, each dish crafted to perfection. But more than the meal, it was the way Dante kept looking at her, his fingers brushing hers, his deep voice filling the night with sweet words, that made her heart race.
As dessert was served, he suddenly stood and held out his hand. “Dance with me?”
She smiled, taking his hand. “Always.”
He pulled her into his arms, swaying slowly under the stars. The world faded away, leaving only them.
“You’ve made my life so beautiful, Isla,” he whispered, his lips brushing against her temple. “Every day with you feels like a dream.”
Tears pricked her eyes as she looked up at him. “I love you, Dante.”
He cupped her face gently. “And I love you-more than anything.”
Then, he kissed her. It was slow, deep, and filled with all the love he felt for her. The waves lapped against the yacht, the music played on, but they were lost in each other.
When they finally pulled apart, Isla sighed happily, resting her head against his chest.
“Happy anniversary, my love,” he murmured.
And as they danced under the moonlight, Isla knew that no matter what life brought, as long as they had each other, their love would always shine the brightest.
As the evening settled into a dreamy haze, Isla picked up her phone and grinned. “Stay still,” she teased, pointing the camera at Dante, who sat with Leo on his lap and Amara hugging his side.
Dante smirked. “You just want pictures of my handsome face.”
“Maybe,” Isla giggled, snapping photos as Leo clapped his tiny hands and Amara made silly faces.
Dante reached out, pulling Isla into the frame. “Now, our family is complete.”
She smiled, capturing the moment-a perfect memory of love, laughter, and the beautiful chaos that was their life together.
