Won’t Survive One More Scandal!

Book:A Broken Ex Wife's Revenge Published:2025-2-8

On her way back to the villa after spending the whole day on set, Rin toyed with the idea of calling either Igor or William to come drive her. She felt exhaustion all around her, and her fingers slid off the steering at intervals, sleep threatening to overtake her. Pulling over to the side of the road, Rina leaned back into the headrest and took deep breaths. She reached for her phone to call Zayn, but suddenly, there was a rapt on her window. She looked up to see Finn smiling down at her, and Rina couldn’t resist the groan that escaped her lips.
Finn had been trying his best to get back with her, and it was getting borderline obsessive. He was everywhere, from her set to the parking lot, telling her that she wouldn’t be able to get married to Zayn if he took her away from him. He boldly flaunted the restraining order without a second thought, and at that point, Rina was seriously considering the possibility of it being a mental illness. Everyone in the country feared Zayn and didn’t want to get into his bad books. Yet. Finn seemed to be aiming for just that.
Rina knew if she ignored him, he was just going to keep disturbing her right there. And she could deal with a little bit of his annoying talk as the anger would keep her awake through her journey back home and she wouldn’t have to call anyone. Sighing, she unlocked the doors and stepped out, closing the door behind her and leaning on it.
“Nice ride,” Finn murmured as he crossed his arms around his body, staring possessively into her eyes. “I wouldn’t have recognized that you were the one behind the steering if I hadn’t seen you get in after work today. Great work, by the way. I wasn’t allowed in but I know you smashed it, like always.”
Rina blew out a steam of breath and hoped she was patient enough to talk to Finn. Of course, she wasn’t going to go down memory lane, explaining that it was the fifth car Zayn was getting her. He seemed to have a hobby of buying cars and since he had so many already, he focused them on her instead, always handing out new keys like it was nothing.
“What do you want, Finn?”
“Your hair looks different too,” he continued, ignoring her question. “Your favorite hair color then was wine, but brown looks great on you too. So natural that it could almost be mistaken for your real color. I liked the one you had on yesterday too. It was flaming red, just like your personality. I wanted to see it on you for a while, but I guess you didn’t like it.”
“Finn Smith, you can’t keep following me around like you have nothing else to do with your time. I am… I am tired of doing this with you. Leave me the hell alone. You know the person I am with. He wouldn’t hesitate to ensure you disappear off the face of the earth if I tell him you have been flaunting the restraining order.”
“Oh,” he looked up in surprise, but Rina couldn’t tell if it was real or not. Finn looked and acted like a totally different person and she didn’t know what to think about it. “You haven’t told him about me? When are you planning on doing that?”
“Are you sick, Finn? Do you really not know what you are getting yourself into or are you just plain stupid? The reason I have not dealt with your disturbance is that I am so busy that I don’t have time for a nuisance like you. So, if you don’t mind, I have a home to get back to. It is getting late. Go home to Kayla. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind the company, especially after what happened earlier today.”
“What happened?” Rina could see in his eyes that he didn’t really mean to ask that question, that he didn’t care about whatever she was going to say. But Rina went for it anyway.
“She was going to be the lead actress for a Hollywood production that was going to be shown on Netflix too. But right when she was supposed to sign the document, it was taken right from under her nose by someone else. It made her mad. I guess anyone would have been mad in that situation too. Go to her.”
“I don’t suppose it had anything to do with you, does it?”
Rina shrugged. “Only if you are referring to the fact that the lead role was handed over to me, but I doubt I was directly responsible. She got the second lead though. I think that’s fair, considering a lot of things.”
“You see,” Finn started. “This is one of the things I have always liked about you. You are such a feisty ball that rolls and only consumes things that have at some point gotten you angry. And you do it with such finesse that you can’t even be blamed for it.”
“Finn,” she leaned away from the door and rested her hand on the handle. “I am going home.”
“No, you are not.” Finn snapped suddenly, pushing her against the car, and resting a hand above her head so they were in a really compromising situation. “Do you think I came all this way to hear about Kayla and her issues?”
“Finn…”
“Don’t anger me, Rina. I have given you more than enough time to leave Zayn and come over to me. But since you have decided to be stubborn and downright selfish, you have left me no choice but to do this. Remember that freaky sex tape I compelled you into making while we were married? I kept them after the divorce. I am giving you only a week to leave that fucker and come over to me. If not, the videos are going to be all over the internet. Let’s see then if you will get to keep all the juicy roles being tossed your way. I don’t think you will survive one more scandal, Rina.”
