The weather was pretty nice for a walk and I was glad for the first time that evening that Mira had asked me to go with her to Alaric. Well, it was my idea, I just couldn’t trust myself not to want to kill him so she had to do it.
I felt nervous though, the thought of seeing Alaric again and wondering how he would be looking like after being locked up. I had expected him to get tied up, flogged, punished, and … well, not killed.
‘Who would not want him dead?’
To some extent, I was glad that Rex had listened to me and decided not to kill Alaric despite all the pain he caused me and I was glad for Alaric.
Why do I bring idea and not follow it?
If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be able to experience this strong power which I was experiencing, though it came with pain but it doesn’t really matter now.
He gave his mate! Evenr asked me to drink for her directly!! What if I had one it and killed her? Did he trust me that much?
I was just glad that I was able to survive all the ordeals I went through in the hands of Kia and Brook, at least I came out with something that I can have for a long time.
Funny how Brook and Elena weren’t even hard to kill. All bark and no bite.
We were still walking when I realized that people were staring at us and smiling. What now?
Two women walked past us and were giggling softly when I looked at them. It felt strange. Like they were making fun of me or something. I thought Mira said they liked me.
At first, I thought they were talking about me until I realized that it wasn’t until I smiled at them that they giggled.
They weren’t talking about me, they were happy to see me!
What’s going on? Is what Mira said really true? Do they really love me now?
“Greetings, My Lunw,” One woman greeted, smiling brightly at me as she walked past me and that confirmed it to me , they were Happy to see me.
“Mira… You notice what I’m noticing?” I turned to ask her, trying to contain my happiness.
“Yeah.. I told you about that didn’t I? Their feelings towards you have changed. They love you now especially what you did to our Alpha.”
My gaze narrowed.
” Who told you that they saw what I did on your Alpha’s body?” I asked, continuing to walk.
” I just hard about it from someone and also, I noticed it. It was pretty obvious,” She said, winking at me.
We continued walking in silence as I took a deep breath of the beautiful air while she cleared her throat loudly.
I knew what that meant. She wants to say something.
“Did you know that since you came here, the Alpha’s beast has been quiet? He no longer behaves the way he used to before. You’re now the Alpha’s beast. You were able to tame him down and we can’t thank you enough… I can’t thank you enough. You helped us a lot.”
I rolled my eyes and giggled.
“I am his beast?” I mocked her , laughing.
She smiled as I made fun of her.
“You know… I didn’t what to talk about our mate but now let’s talk. You smell like her, your mate. It’s all over your body.”
She bit her lower lip and smiled shyly. It felt like she just replayed what happened in her head all over again.
” Of course I would smell like her, we had sex yesterday night and even this morning before I came to meet you,” She said shamelessly.
I laughed at her. I wish I had her courage to talk about i and Rex’s sex.
It was good to talk about stuff like this with her.
“I’m serious right now. She has refused to leave to his pack. She finally decided to stay here and be part of our pack.”
That’s great.
” Isn’t that a good thing? Shouldn’t you be happy?”
” I am actually. It’s nice that she has finally decided to stay here with me,”She said smiling just as we entered into the place where Alaric was.
“Alaric, Rain’s here,” Mira said calling him.
Alaric who was treating one of the injured people there immediately turned to face me and his face widened into a smile as he saw me.
“Rain!” He said immediately falling into his knees and bowing for me.
I tried to raise him up and stop him from kneeling for me but it was pretty obvious that he wasn’t going to listen to me and was just intent on doing what he wants.
“Thank you so much, Luna. You were able to convince the Alpha not to kill me and I’m so grateful for that. Thank you despite all that I did to you, you decided to forgive me,” He said still kneeling.
His behavior was making me feel a bit uncomfortable as I could feel the people’s eyes on me.
“It’s okay. Stand up please…” I said, trying to get him to stand up.
” Thank you for what you did to Hannah. Thank you so much. I thought she was dead but she isn’t. She’s looking more healthier than ever before.”
I looked at Mira to see her glaring and growling softly.
“You’re not nice at all. Honestly I wonder why she forgave you, she almost died because of you,” Mira scolded, frowning at him.
” I know. I would do anything to pay back the pain I caused her.”
” Can you turn my mate to a werewolf?” She asked him, looking at me for permission.
I turned to look at him to see what his response was.
“I’ll gladly do it.”
Just then Hannah walked in.
“Luna.. I’m so glad to see you. Thank you so much.. I’m now a member of this pack, “She said smiling at me.
” I’ve never felt better than this since my parents died, thank you so much,” She continued.
” You’re welcome, ” I answered her.
“Well, the beta said I should prepare the dresses for the girls so.. ”
” Oh no way! I’m the one in charge of Rain’s dresses,” Mira said interrupting her and we all burst into laughter.
