RAIN’S POV
Should I be scared?
Should I be worried about having my mate say such or worried that I have vexed the moon goddess by thinking about rejecting my mate?
We were already mated.
He already marked me and … wait a minute?
I was supposed to make him too!
I was supposed to give him my make so we would share the feelings properly.
The room Rex had asked Hawk to put me was different from the other one. It still looked like his room, with his pictures at the east side of the room and a walk in closet bedside it.
The double king side bed had the dull color of Brown, imitating the natural color of the woods. Aside two table and two lamps around the two edge sides of the bed.
The room had this void scent, like no one had ever being in there for the last seventh centuries but I still stayed.
After laying on the bed a s watch the ecen sun set, I realized the sky wasn’t painted as I used to think. It was the evening sun, giving it the color of burnth orange and light brown. I walked and went to the window, staring deep into the woods and just stared.
I hated the fact that I had to stay in here. Rex didn’t even bother to put me where I could see the pack run around training.
Training!
It’s been long I trained, pregnant or not.
Tired, I walked to the bathroom, Strip naked and stood still in the cold shower. My muscles seem sore, my back ache, my throat seem extremely dry as if I haven’t had water for the very first time of my life.
Without thinking, I opened my mouth, tint my head up to the shower and began to gulp down water. The more I gulp, the more empty I became.
“Fuck!”
I lamented as I walked out the shower and head to the bed. I stay s, touching my stomach and wondering what to name my child.
“Hey baby girl” I said.
A girl.
I wouldn’t want her to be a man who seem to be a disgusting sexist who hated women like his father.
Does he really hate women or just me?
He said he would kill me, he said he would.
I heard when the door opened but I didn’t say anything. I just ignored the person and assume it would be Mira.
Although she smelt different but I assumed she would have being around her human mate or other people so I didn’t worry.
She had being the only friend I had and that understood me for who I am. For one day she haven’t hated me, she haven’t said anything that would make me sad.
She had there since when I was an Omega, ready to be the sweetest person ever lived.
How come I never had a friend like her when I was back at Brook’s pack?
“Excuse Luna, My name is Emma and I would be your new help till Mira come back”
I got up.
My gaze remained on Emma who just stood still with her head low. She was obviously avoiding my gaze and I knew why.
“Have you seen Mira today?” I asked her.
Emma shook her head indicating that she haven’t seen Mira. That was a flat lie because I could smell Mira on her.
It was like Mira asked her to wear her dress or she had wiped her body with Mira’s body.
“I brought you meal and Alpha Rex asked me to give you this” Emma brought out a phone and handed it to me.
Ohh.
These human stuff.
I took the phone and stood up.
I walked naked to the bathroom and dropped it in the toilet seat. I turned back to see ma as calm as possible and I walked to her.
This time, I wasn’t the last person she lied to.
“You said you haven’t see Mira today?” I said.
It was like a question and I wasn’t even sure if I was asking or telling. I just said it as it came to my mind.
Emma nodded, she moved few steps back and smiled at me.
“Alpha Rex said you can check your social media do whatever you want and I haven’t seen Mira today, ma’am” she added.
Damn, she was so professional.
It was like she was a customer service person or those people that announces the arrival of Alpha’s in events.
I didn’t say anything.
I knew she was still lying and I hated it.
“I saw Mira this morning but she was sick so I had to take her place and Your brother asked me to know how you are doing” Emma said this time.
Although, I still didn’t believe her but Klaus seem like am interesting person so I sat.
I watched her get my clothes and arranged them on the bed for me. She looked at me as if urging me to put in on.
“I am not from the pack, I came in with Klaus and if Alpha Rex realize that I have taken Mira’s spot, I would be dead”
That seem legit.
The fear, the hushed whispers and the way she visibly shook.
Lazily, I put on my clothes and followed her outside.
The dress she brought was a blue straight one with long sleeves, the neck had this cover as if she was trying to hide my neck but I love it.
I rather cover Rex’s mark if he doesn’t want to carry mine. So annoying that haven’t talked about mine for a day.
While we sneak pass guards and park members, I felt this nostalgia feeling of when I used to do this at my previous Pack. I would sneak around, covered in my blood after being beaten or bullied.
Pffff.
They should come try it now.
Absent minded, I had no idea we have gotten to our spot. It was around the north side of the pack where the members barely train.
It was quiet and seem like an abandoned village as it was the part of the pack with less security.
With Klaus seating in the rubbles with a big grin on his face, I felt this day might go interesting.
I walked to him, stared at him flatly and waited for while he brought me out.
“You still have that look, Ashina” Klaus said as he rolled his eyes “You know I am still your big brother”
“We are twins!” I snapped.
“With twenty minutes apart” Klaus said immediately “You were late so… I am the big brother”
I rolled my eyes.
The fact that this annoying dude is my twin brother still surprise me.
“Emma is a witch” he said pointing at the lady beside me “If you want, we can help you see all of your childhood”
That seem dangerous but tempting!
