“Shut up!”
Areli’s eyes turned cold as she stopped Roberto and Eliezer from babbling. She then targeted the leader, Desmond, in an imposing manner.
She sternly warned, “This is Spectrum Pharmaceuticals. It’s best for you to leave if you know what’s good for you. Otherwise, things will get big, and nobody will come out unscathed.”
“Even Nick couldn’t get away with this,” she added.
However, Areli’s display of dominance only earned a few sarcastic laughs mixed with disdain.
How could a woman in her twenties control these cunning and ruthless people?
If Areli could scare them away, how would they ever survive in Whiteville?
“Who is Nick? We don’t know him, and it has nothing to do with us,” Desmond sneered.
“We are your clients. We came to inspect your company. How about that? Don’t you welcome us?” he continued.
He immediately distanced himself from Nick, saying, “Is this how you treat customers?”
“Do you want me to expose your terrible service attitude to all of Westergold and the world?” he threatened.
Areli snorted, “Clients? Even if you had plenty of money, I wouldn’t do business with you.”
Darnell casually spoke up, “Miss Fanshaw, let me throw them out of the 18th floor.”
“Miss Fanshaw, let’s not speak recklessly,” Eliezer shouted.
Eliezer added, “If this gets out, our reputation will be ruined.”
Roberto also chimed in, “That’s right. How can we refuse business from our clients?”
“Shut up!” Areli reprimanded without hesitation, then turned her gaze towards Desmond.
“Now leave. Don’t come back to Spectrum Pharmaceuticals. I won’t do business with you. Understand?”
Areli had never taken these scum who lurked in the underworld seriously. Today, she wanted to keep calm and avoid causing chaos in the company. She didn’t want to rely on intimidating people with her connections behind the scenes. Moreover, it was meaningless for her to step on these bottom-feeders. It was best to resolve the conflict with a few words.
Unfortunately, some people mistook Areli’s goodwill as weakness and approached her with insults.
Desmond laughed heartily and said, “No.”
He raised a finger and continued, “You only have one option.”
“Fire this man and compensate us with five million dollars.”
He pointed at Darnell and threatened further, “Otherwise, we’ll stay until your workday ends and come here every day to negotiate business.”
“Very well,” Areli coldly sneered. “You brought this upon yourselves.” After speaking, she took out her phone and made a call in a corner.
“You want to call the police? Go ahead. Let’s see what they can do when they arrive,” Desmond taunted while taking out a cigarette.
“My friends, it’s better if you leave,” Darnell said with a smile as he approached them and slipped a few hundred dollars into Desmond’s pocket. “Go have some drinks.”
“I don’t want it.” Desmond dismissed him.
He threw the money back at Darnell forcefully and said sternly, “We came here to negotiate business.”
Eliezer shouted at Darnell, “If I were you, I would resign and avoid causing trouble for the company and colleagues.”
“Well then, that’s unfortunate,” Darnell replied as he picked up the money from the ground and put it back into his own pocket. “You’ll have to face the consequences.”
Desmond snorted disdainfully. “Let’s see who can endure it.”
Darnell smiled but remained silent. The Apex had completely blacklisted him.
Ding!
Just when everyone in the company was panicking, both elevators opened, revealing more than ten well-built police officers in uniforms walking out.
Leading them was a beautiful policewoman with a cold expression on her pretty face. Her eyes were sharp as lightning as she walked with an indescribable sense of urgency.
Darnell was shocked when he saw her. It was Judith!
His legs almost gave way beneath him.
The dozens of hooligans were initially stunned when they saw the police officers appear. They didn’t expect Areli to actually call the police. However, they quickly regained their composure since they hadn’t done anything wrong.
Thump!
As Judith entered the lobby from the elevator, she deliberately bumped shoulders with a punk who was smoking a cigarette.
With just that slight contact, Judith swiftly reached out her left hand and grabbed the punk’s wrist. Her eyebrows raised sharply as her eyes gleamed with fierceness before she pulled him towards her forcefully.
With a swift swing and a trip under his feet, she decisively dealt with him like no ordinary woman would.
Bang!
The punk never expected that a woman could be so fierce and cunning. Caught off guard, he was flung away miserably.
His body crashed into the wall before falling to the ground with a cry of pain following suit.
Then Judith shouted, “He attacked an officer in broad daylight! Handcuff him!”
A burly policeman thundered forward and directly handcuffed the punk whose head was bleeding profusely.
The whole scene erupted into chaos. It seemed that Desmond was astonished by this turn of events before anger took over his face.
“Don’t move!” Judith shouted again before dragging another earring-wearing thug forward and kicking him down onto the ground while pulling something out of his body.
A bag of MDMA fell out of his clothes.
Judith declared loudly, “Carrying drugs.”
The earring-wearing thug looked anxious as he pleaded desperately, “It’s not mine! It’s not mine!”
Ignoring him entirely, Judith kicked him down again with one foot. “If it’s not yours, then whose is it? Handcuff him!”
Another officer stepped forward and handcuffed the young man with earrings.
Seriously?
Darnell stared dumbfoundedly as he clearly saw Judith slip that bag of MDMA into his pocket at lightning speed. It was almost impossible for an ordinary person to catch such quick movements.
He silently thought that Judith was truly fierce. He couldn’t help but worry about his own fate now.
Seeing Judith’s unreasonable behavior, several hooligans retreated in fear.
But just as they moved back several meters away from her, Judith swung her leg in a sweeping motion, knocking all three of them down effortlessly.
She slapped one big-nosed thug twice, saying sarcastically, “Running away when you see an officer? Are you guilty?”
“Handcuff him! Take him back for interrogation! See if there are any cases related to robbery or child trafficking.”
She then kicked another two people on their sides.
“These two also look suspiciously similar to suspects involved in raping an 80-year-old lady.”
Roberto and others watched dumbfoundedly at this police officer’s domineering behavior. Didn’t she consider the consequences?
When all three were handcuffed, the remaining hooligans became indignant, rolling up their sleeves and shouting, “Officer! You’re slandering us!”
“You’re abusing your power! I’m going to sue you!”
Desmond also shouted angrily, “You’re treating us like criminals without evidence! Have you considered the consequences?”
“Oh? Are you resisting arrest?” Judith smiled maliciously as she waved at Desmond and his group.
“That’s great! I love suppressing people.”
