“Mission completed! Call the boss and inform her immediately, and let’s leave here right now, before the securities become alarmed.” The head of them said as they removed their mask to leave the way they had come earlier.
Finally they left the company without anyone knowing what had happened inside of Grace’s office.
The men had called and called Sophia, all to no avail; she wasn’t even taking her call.
Normally, she was supposed to even call to ask if they had shot the ladies already.
Back in Grace’s office, The room was in tension; the ladies who were shot earlier were lying down so helplessly on the floor, shaking slightly and waiting for the footsteps of the men to fade before they could get up.
“Huh! They are gone; get up, you both, and let us inform the security before they leave the company’s premises.” It was Sophia speaking; the bullet had not touched her.
Or let her just say it was a prank, because the sound of the gun was only what was heard, and she fell to the ground thinking she was being shot.
Only to find herself still breathing, but she was not too senseless to give them that information that she was still alive, so she just acted dead.
Deep inside of her, she prayed that was the same thing that happened to Grace and the lady that had come for the interview, and thankfully it was.
But something was amiss; she was talking to the both of them, and they weren’t responding. Does it mean they had rest shot them?
“Ladies!” Cassandra said almost in a crying tone, running to where Grace fell behind her table.
Grace was breathing heavily. As Cassandra came to her, she had heard what Sophia said at first, but she was still trying to come out from her shot.
Had it not been for this magic, she would be dead?
“You are alive!” Cassandra said, noticing that Grace was alive and healthy.
“Yes, I am. What just happened here? Is this a dream or what?” Grace asked if her brain was still finding it so difficult to process everything.
“I guess the moon goddess came to our rescue.” Cassandra said and hugged Grace so tightly.
A hug that Grace returned took.
With a whispering tone, Grace asked.
“The other lady, are you sure she is okay? She hasn’t gotten up?”
“She is okay; she is not bleeding. Maybe she passed out due to fear; we would take her to the hospital immediately.”
“Yes, call the security already. Also, you have to inform them to take those men that have done this.” Grace said as Cassandra helped her up.
“No, you don’t have to call security to take me to the hospital; I am okay.” Cindy said as she stood up dusting her clothes.
“Okay then! Just call them and tell them to arrest the men already.” Grace said to Cassandra as she picked up her telephone to dial Alpha Nelson’s number.
*Ring* Ring*
“Hello love, how are you doing?” Alpha Nelson said as he picked up his telephone to talk to his lovely wife.
“You can’t believe what just happened in my office right now! We were almost shot dead by three unknown masked men! I mean we were even shot! Just that the bullet didn’t penetrate is something we can tell.” Grace spoke out to Alpha Nelson, her voice laced with anger and fear.
She was still trembling; it was really getting out of hand. She really couldn’t go out now without taking a lot of security personnel with her.
“What! You mean those three sounds I heard were really gunshots? I thought otherwise.” Alpha Nelson said he had heard the gunshot earlier, and he really thought it was something else.
The men had not fully left the company premises; they were still on it because they couldn’t just leave; the security would also love to check them.
Regardless of who you are, because no one is trusted, you must be checked.
“Tell the security to arrest them already! They really can’t go scot-free; I know they are still around.” GRACE said to Alpha Nelson, and before he could say any more words, she ended the damn call and gave out a long sigh.
“Are you okay?” Grave asked Cindy as she dropped the telephone back to the position.
Cindy, who seems to be trembling in fear, managed to nod her head in a way of saying yes. She also tried to give a flattered smile.
“I’m so sorry for the inconveniences this has caused you; we will really get to the root of this. I suggest you go home and come back tomorrow! You got the job already.” Grace said and smiled to Cindy; Eno returned the genuine smile.
Not that she was happy because she got the job only, but because she was really now going to be getting every single detail of Grace to pull her down.
“Thank you so much, ma’am. I really appreciate this job. I promise to be of good behavior and do my job in the very best way I can.” Cindy said and received the handshake from Grace as she said.
“Congratulations!”
“Thank you, ma’am!* Cindy said.
“You can go now!” Grave said dismissing her.
Cindy was happy; at least she won’t be answering a lot of questions from Grace.
Since that was also part of the interview, she was really so overwhelmed with joy.
This was her first step she was taking in pulling Grace down.
Cassandra had gone out of the office; she was really going to look for the men or something; Grace didn’t know.
But she knew Cassandra wouldn’t give up until those men were found and dealt with.
Grace opened her mobile phone just to check something when she saw the news headlines; she couldn’t believe it.
It was concerning Victor and Cindy’s breakup. It was now over the media, and also the fact that Victor has a new fiancee was also stated.
Grace was really in fear about what happened earlier, but she found herself laughing out loud.
Her stomach knotted in happiness, and she laughed out again, slamming her hand on the desk.
“That serves the bitch right!” Just when she was in that happy moment, the telephone in her office rang.
And you know what the caller said,
“Hello, Ma! This is to inform you that the men behind what happened in your office had been caught.” An amazing beautiful young lady’s voice sounded.
“Damn it! Do fast!” Grace squealed the happiness in her bubbling more than it was earlier.
