Christian pulled her into his arms, molding her soft body to his.
“Please, Christian! Don’t spoil my makeup. I won’t have time for a retouch. I’ve got to get Sienna ready,” pleaded Skylar, pushing him away. Christian gazed at her for a moment, yet didn’t release her.
“Fine. We can leave after the wedding!” Skylar panicked and grabbed his cheeks to plant a kiss on his lips.
Christian gazed at her, amused by her antics. “Is that it?” he asked in disbelief when she pulled away.
“Yes, for now. Do you want smudges all over?”
“I don’t mind!” He shrugged, tightening his hold on her as he waited for more.
“I do! Please, Christian, don’t be so stubborn.” Christian slowly shook his head, not at all giving in. His eyes drank her in and he held her against him for as long as he could. They fitted into each other so perfectly, just like the parts of a jigsaw puzzle. He didn’t want her to leave the sanctity of his arms!
“Okay, you can kiss me on the cheek!” she said, but Christian groaned with an eye roll. He leaned towards her neck instead to graze his lips against her soft skin. Goosebumps erupted on her bare shoulders at his touch! On seeing her response to him, he tenderly bit her below her ear, sucking the spot, marking her like an Alpha male! A gasp of surprise escaped her while his mouth trailed down her bare shoulders.
Skylar trembled with need, and his mouth took liberties, trailing up in front to her throat.
“Irresistible! Mine!” he breathed against her skin.
His words sounded like music to her ears, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, surrendering to his plundering mouth. It trailed down to the swell of her breasts, making her breath hitch.
A loud knock on his door startled Skylar, and she pushed him away.
“Christian, there’s someone at your door.”
Christian groaned, knowing who it could be. The one and only Nicholas Donnelly, who had disappeared earlier instead of getting ready. The knocks kept on disturbing him, and he released her with an annoyed grunt. This guy would be the sole cause of his blue organ!
He opened the door and Nicholas stormed in blindly, as if the devil were after him. “Gosh! I haven’t even gotten ready and bro is after me!” Then his eyes fell upon Skylar and he grinned, scratching his hair with guilt.
“Oh, am I disturbing you guys? Sorry! Carry on, I’ll head for a quick shower!” He chuckled as he rushed to the en-suite. Skylar escaped with flushed cheeks, straight to her room for a touch-up. Christian walked out, more needy than ever before. He had expected to calm down after the passionate encounter with Skylar, but it had the opposite effect. He was more aroused than ever before.
He found Marcus and Lucas at the altar and joined them.
“Good, that you’re here, Christian. Can you please call the officiant? He still hasn’t arrived!” said Lucas, forwarding him the number.
“I’ll handle this. Why don’t you get ready?” Lucas nodded and went upstairs to get ready while Christian did as asked. Marcus was busy setting up the altar while Claudia Donnelly checked the buffet area of the banquet hall.
“Christian, can you check up on the drinks? I’ll quickly get ready,” said Lucas’s mom.
“Sure, Aunt Claudia.” The officiant was about to reach, and Christian disconnected the call and went to the cocktail bar at the banquet hall. He and Marcus were very busy with the last-minute arrangements before the wedding ceremony. The officiant arrived, and so did Lucas.
“Where’s Nick? Is he getting ready for his own wedding?” asked Marcus with a chuckle.
“I know! He was getting ready when I came down,” said Christian with an eye roll. They stood on either side of Lucas waiting for Sienna and her bridal party, when Nicholas came down with flapping sleeves.
“Bro, you forgot to fix my cufflinks,” he grumbled at Christian. They all chuckled at him.
“Were you battling with them for so long?” asked Lucas, and he nodded. Christian fixed his cufflinks when they heard the elevator door open and Ashton and Alexander emerge. Granny too arrived and Alexander helped her to a seat.
The elevator doors slid open, and they turned to see Sienna walking out, accompanied by her bridal party. Christian couldn’t contain his wild heartbeats as he gazed at his fiancee. She looked so breathtakingly beautiful amidst them all, attracting him to her like a moth to a flame. He longed to hold her in his arms, he wanted to plunge himself deep into her. Yes, he was now crazy to make love to her. The dress hugged her curves, making him throb with a need so acute that he couldn’t wait to marry her. He couldn’t wait to make her his, to consummate their marriage on the wedding night. Would she surrender to him or would she fight him?
Skylar’s eyes went towards Christian, watching her like a hawk. She hadn’t wanted to leave his warm embrace. Thankfully, it was the last day of her stay here. She remembered Hayley’s advice and would talk to him tonight.
In a minute, Christian was at her side, as if he knew she was thinking about him. “Dreaming of me?” he whispered, leaning in to whisper. His mouth grazed her neck, and she trembled.
“No, what are you doing?” She moved away, but he simply grinned and held out his arm for her to take.
“I’ll walk you down the aisle.” She noted Alexander and Ashton too had geared up to walk down the aisle with Eva and Hayley. With a smile, she placed her hand in the crook of his arm and they waited for the procession to start. The music started, and Skylar sucked in a deep breath and walked down with Christian, who watched her as he led her down the aisle. Did she know that in two days she would again walk down the aisle? This time, it wouldn’t be with him but towards him!
“Stop staring, Christian! I’ll trip over!” she hissed, but he chuckled instead.
“Do I affect you that much?”
“Not at all! You’re creepy!”
He chuckled even more than they reached the altar. He released her and went over to stand beside Lucas while Skylar joined the other girls. However, despite being separated, they couldn’t stop staring at one another. Skylar’s heart skipped a beat at the intense look in his eyes. It was almost as if he loved her as if this was their wedding instead of Lucas and Sienna’s!
The wedding ceremony was ethereal, and Christian held her gaze throughout. It was as if he had cast a spell on her. As Lucas and Sienna said their heartfelt vows, Christian held her gaze. The look in his eyes was so hypnotic that Skylar couldn’t look away. At that moment, no one existed around them. The vows, the officiant’s speech echoed around the still place while Skylar drowned in his eyes. Each and every vow they uttered seeped into her soul as if she and Christian were the ones saying them.
The wedding ceremony was over and Lucas and Sienna were declared man and wife! They sealed their union with a scorching kiss and everyone congratulated the newlyweds.
“Let’s pose for pics!” said Hayley, pulling Skylar with her.
“Where did Alex and Ashton go?” asked Alyssa, and they shrugged. They knew the duo would arrive anytime to whisk them away.
“Forget them. Let’s click a few pictures with Sienna and Lucas,” suggested Hayley.
They clicked pictures and escorted the wedded couple to the reception area, completely forgetting Alexander and Ashton.
“I’m dying of hunger!” said Skylar, and the girls attacked the refreshments in case they were whisked away suddenly.
“I wish we didn’t have to hurry! I wanted to enjoy Sienna’s wedding lunch!” said Eva, helping herself to the food.
“I know! Skye’s so lucky!” said Alyssa.
“Do you really think so? I paid a price for staying back. Christian wanted to leave after the wedding ceremony!”
“Interesting! What price did you pay?” asked a clueless Eva.
Hayley tucked Skylar’s hair behind her ear to reveal the love bite on her neck. “That’s the price! Right, Skye?” Skylar gasped and touched the tender spot. She had no idea Christian had left his mark there for all to see!
“Gosh! Was it visible? This is so embarrassing!” said Skylar, wanting to vanish.
“Don’t worry! I’m the only one who noticed it when you tossed your hair backward!” chuckled Hayley. Skylar searched for the culprit, but he, too, seemed to have disappeared somewhere.
“Did you pack?” Alyssa asked Hayley.
“Yes. They won’t give you much time. They’ll just grab hold of your luggage and pull you along.” The girls rolled their eyes and giggled at their predicament. Nicholas arrived out of nowhere and grabbed hold of Alyssa for a dance. Hayley excused herself and went up to her room to freshen up and change into normal clothes.
Skylar was about to take a second helping of the appetizers when Christian appeared before her. “Dance with me!” he ordered.
Skylar was lost in the depths of his eyes as he led her to the dance floor. This time, there was no escaping him! His eyes held her captive!
