Chapter 147

Book:Craving My Ex Luna Published:2025-2-7

Mystery POV
I sat in a restaurant and ordered the lunch menu.
My mind was filled with so much. Who knew that all these bastards were cheating on themselves with each other?
I chuckled to myself. It was a laughable site Dante was with Erica and Lorenzo was fucking their maid. I watched when Lorenzo proposed to Erica. A flimsy proposal.
I was the waiter that day and I had already poisoned his glass of water but I decided to wait and enjoy the show. Maybe this would lead somewhere.
I smiled to myself. It eventually did but now that bastard was fucking Laura.
I was at her house earlier and the ruckus that came from her room could be heard from miles away.
“Sorry sir, your order will take a while to get ready. We are so sorry for the wait.”
The beautiful waiter walked up to me and apologized. I dismissed her with a smile and leaned back in my chair.
It was a beautiful pack indeed. Too bad that we were going to bring it to rubble. I had seemed to have taken quite a liking to the friendly atmosphere.
I took a deep breath and the waiter came back again with some cakes and juice.
I smiled at her and she blushed slightly.
“I thought dessert comes after the main meal,” I said with a smirk.
“This is for the wait. It’s on the house. It’s to apologize.”
She had her face a bright red. I could tell that she was mesmerized by my look. Could I really blame her? My grey eyes have always been known to turn heads.
“Thank you for this.”
She smiled and walked away. I followed her movement and saw her walk towards a group of her female colleagues who were huddled in a corner and squealing with delight.
Human girls were such a delight. Their cluelessness made them such entertaining toys.
I picked up my fork and poked at my cake slightly. It smelled divine but I wasn’t hungry for it just yet. I had to report to the boss.
I whipped out my phone and dialed his number.
“Pick up already.”
The delay made me wonder what woman he was with this time. He just couldn’t keep it in his pants.
No answer.
I could feel frustration bubbling hotly inside of me. Why didn’t he ever pick up his phone on the first ring?
I sighed and called him again. I waited, impatiently tapping my foot on the floor.
“Pick the damn phone,” I said angrily under my breath.
Finally, it connected and his groggy voice came clear over the phone. I was right. He was with a lady and I could hear her groaning angrily on the other end of the line.
“Alpha Hazan…”
“What do you want? I was a bit busy before you called.”
I rolled my eyes
“Forgive me, I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
“Why did you call? This had better be good.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Your son has gotten his bitch to get us the documents to the location of the other Pure Breed Alpha.”
“Good.”
He seemed very pleased. I scoffed. He was very easy to please.
“In that case, dispose of Erica. We have no use of her anymore.”
I was stunned. Was he even thinking? Who am I kidding? Did anyone that was fucking ever think straight?
“I think that we should keep her alive, Alpha.”
“And why do you think that?”
I rolled my eyes again. Was he really that daft?
“It could be possible that the claim is false. We need to keep Erica alive as a backup plan. We can’t make too many assumptions.”
There was silence from the other end. Was he really thinking something like this over?
“Alright. We will keep her alive. Does my son know where the location of the Pure Breed is?”
“Yes. Somewhere in the Bahamas. He is planning to send his bitch over there to do it.”
I hated his son. We never saw eye to eye. He was much smarter and resourceful than Hazan but he was a cunning fox and no one could ever make an honest dealing with him.
If anything, I pity the bitch that he was with. She was bound to get her heart broken by him.
” Well, if he trusts that she can do the job then I don’t see why we should worry about it. Just make sure to tell him to hurry up about it. We haven’t much time. We need to find the location of the Living Gem and fast. Has Dante said anything about its location?”
“Not from what I have heard or seen. He seems to have his hands full with Erica.”
I felt the anger in his tone rise.
“Damn it! We need to get the location! And Erica also knows how to unlock the powers of the stone?”
I took a deep breath.
“She hasn’t had that part figured out either. The entire operation has been put on hold for a while.”
I hissed slightly. I hated to be the one to deliver the bad news. He didn’t take bag news very well.
“Well, what is taking her so long?!”
I took the phone away from my ears. I was not about to lose an eardrum.
“I’ll get it sorted out. It is small fry really…”
“If it is small fry like you say, then why didn’t you get it sorted out earlier!”
I looked at the phone in displeasure. I hated when he yelled at me. I wasn’t his minion.
“I’ll get it sorted out.”
“You better. Tell my son to hasten his plans with his lady. We have watched and waited for long enough. We have to start getting the gears in motion.”
I rolled my eyes and smiled a little. Now he was talking like a true Alpha.
“Will do, Sir.”
The line went dead and just at that moment, I heard footsteps approach me.
I looked up and saw the waitress with my meal.
She still had a smile and a bright blush on her face. I smirked.
She set the tray down in front of me.
“I am so sorry for the wait. It ready. I also noticed that you haven’t touched your cake yet. Is there something wrong with it? Do you not like it?”
I smiled at her.
“No. It’s wonderful. I was on a business call. I haven’t had time to dig into it yet.”
She smiled back at me and I could see the flirty look in her eyes. She pushed back a lock of her hair and bit her lower lip.
“Well, I hope you eat it soon. It’s our best dessert.”
I returned her gaze with a knowing smile.
“I will eat it as soon as I can.”
She walked away and I picked up the fork again.
It was then that I noticed the paper that was rolled neatly beneath it.
I picked it up and opened it.
It was her number.
I smiled to myself. Humans were really such entertaining and clueless creatures. Little wonder why Hazan despised this pack.
I still smiled and tucked the paper into my pocket.
As clueless as they were, at least it gave me something to do this evening. The way human girls screamed when being fucked seemed more appealing to me than female wolves.
Their cries were desperate and weak.
I licked my lips at the thought. It set my blood on fire.
I picked up my fork and finally dug into my food.
Humans were good cooks as well. They served their purpose but all in all, they were weak and disposable.
I continued to enjoy my meal and my phone buzzed in my pocket.
I nearly groaned in anger. Who could it be this time?
I took out my phone and looked at the name that was scrawled across the screen.
Dante?
I sighed.
What did that fool want to tell me now?
