When Rosalind woke up, she saw the text message Tilda had sent her in the middle of the night, close to four o’clock.
“Rosalind, thank Mr. Walters for me. I won’t be sightseeing in Sweden anymore. I plan to buy a plane ticket back home as soon as I wake up. There’s a lot going on with my cousin, and my parents are urging me to return. They’re worried about me! You don’t need to come and see me off. Just take care of Mr. Walters. Remember, no matter what decision you make, I will support you! Love you!”
She didn’t know why Tilda suddenly changed her mind about sightseeing, but since Tilda was known for being indecisive and changing her mind frequently, Rosalind wasn’t too surprised.
“Are you losing sleep over my situation? Tilda, please reply when you wake up. You came to Sweden to take care of me, and if you leave without me seeing you off, I’ll feel guilty for the rest of my life.”
Rosalind sent the message but didn’t receive a reply.
She thought Tilda must be sleeping and wouldn’t wake up until noon.
Ulric, who was behind her, also woke up. His large hand reached around her waist and pulled her back into his embrace.
“Hiss…”
But the movement was too sudden and it pulled at his wound.
Rosalind quickly put down her phone and said helplessly, “Are you trying to kill yourself? Let me check if it’s bleeding. Maybe I should call Dr. Stewart to take a look!”
“You want the doctor to come now?”
“When else should she come? Dr. Stewart should be at work by now!”
Ulric raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure?”
Rosalind hesitated for a moment before realizing that their clothes were strewn across the carpet in the hospital room. The lingering intimacy from the previous night filled the air, and there hadn’t been time to air out the room before they fell asleep.
If Rebecca came in now, she would definitely know what had happened.
She stammered, “Let me check your wound first.”
“Alright.” Ulric generously leaned his body closer.
As she touched his skin, it tickled a bit. When she touched the wound, there was a slight sensation of pain.
Suddenly, he grabbed Rosalind’s wrist.
“That’s enough. Stop looking.”
“Huh?” Rosalind looked serious. “Did I hurt you? Endure it a bit more while I check if the stitches have come undone!”
Ulric’s handsome face tensed up, and his jawline became sharper.
“I said stop looking.”
“Just let me take one more look, okay?”
This time, Ulric chose to directly pull her hand down…
After feeling an unfamiliar heat different from her fingertips, Rosalind immediately withdrew her hand in shock!
“You…”
“So that’s why I said stop looking. Go wash up.”
He knew he couldn’t indulge too much. He had to restrain himself since Rosalind was really about to collapse.
Rosalind hurriedly fixed her pajamas and rushed into the bathroom in a flash.
Suddenly, Ulric asked, “Are you taking a shower?”
“Yes!”
“How long will it take?”
Rosalind paused. “About twenty minutes.”
Ulric glanced at the time. “Okay.”
Twenty minutes would be enough…
…
After Rosalind finished showering and came out, she saw Ulric wiping his hands with a tissue.
She walked over. “What got spilled?”
“Nothing.” Ulric’s handsome face rarely showed a hint of blush as he avoided her gaze.
Rosalind reached out to touch his forehead. “You’re not running a fever. Why is your face so red?”
Ulric helplessly held onto her hand and spoke with restraint in his voice, “It’s better if you don’t touch me for now.”
“Why?”
“Rosalind, can you ask Dr. Stewart when I can take a shower?”
