Rosalind paused for a moment, chuckling softly. “You really understand me.”
“It’s not just that! Talking about all this makes me want to cry for you. You can’t possibly hold back your tears,” Tilda said.
Rosalind clenched the tissue in her hand and stood up. “Tilda, when you go back… could you talk to Malcolm for me? Ask him to find a wife for himself. I can’t keep holding him back.”
“That’s even harder than toppling the Walters family!” Tilda rolled her eyes. “Don’t worry about him. He knows what he’s doing.”
“Malcolm has done too much for me.”
“Are you afraid that he will think that you and the Walters family are at odds and that there’s no chance with Ulric anymore, so he’ll wait for you and won’t look for a girlfriend?”
Rosalind nodded.
“Don’t worry about that. He knows you will never love him.” Tilda had discussed this matter with Malcolm countless times.
