Besides arguing with Tilda, Johnny had never done anything to her! Ever since that time she disturbed him, every time he thought of touching himself, Tilda’s face popped up in his mind!
It was making him extremely irritated! It feels like there was something unfinished.
“I’ve never had this kind of feeling.”
Ulric’s love was steadfast and long-lasting, so he has no experience in this area.
“You know what? Forget it. You don’t understand. I thought, maybe I should spend more time with her. Perhaps I’ll realize that I’m just temporarily intrigued by her wit and charm. Once I return home, surrounded by beautiful women, I’ll forget who she is!”
“If you have that kind of mindset, stay away from her.” The more Ulric listened to him, the tighter his brows furrowed. “If Rosalind comes looking for you, I won’t help you.”
“Are we still good buddies?” Johnny expressed disdain for Ulric’s attempt to distance himself. “You’re abandoning me just like that for a woman!”
Ulric glanced at him and said, “With so many women around, why do you have to choose a friend of Rosalind? Besides her, I won’t care who you play with.”
“But I find Tilda interesting!”
Ulric’s thin lips twitched, and then he spoke seriously, “Then let me ask you one question. Will you marry her?”
Marry her?
The word “marriage” scared Johnny!
He had never even considered marriage, so why was it suddenly being brought up??
“You’re moving too fast, aren’t you? I haven’t even started anything with her!”
“If she agrees to be with you, would you marry her?”
Johnny paused, thought for a moment, and shook his head. “No, I just think marriage is boring! Two people have to bind themselves with a marriage certificate, interfere with each other’s lives, and be responsible for each other. Just thinking about it gives me a headache!”
“Don’t get involved in her life.”
Ulric thought that Johnny was used to being carefree and would definitely not accept being controlled! Not to mention marriage, he might not even be able to handle a stable relationship.
“Ah! So you also think we don’t stand a chance.”
“It depends on how you feel. I’m just giving you advice.”
Johnny let out a long sigh. “Well, I should go back to the country. W Group has so many things going on that Cedric is probably close to collapsing from exhaustion.”
“I’ve taken over some of it here. When I go back, I’ll give him a long vacation.”
“Okay.” Johnny nodded and stood up. “It’s getting dark! I’m leaving now. You two lovebirds can enjoy your time together without any disturbance.”
“I’ll go ask Tilda if she wants to go back and give her a ride.”
Ulric was speechless.
So, what Ulric just said to him was completely in vain.

Outside the hospital, Rosalind and Tilda found a bench to sit on and looked up at the starry sky together.
With Tilda present, there was a rare moment of silence. Unable to hold back anymore, she spoke up, “Have you… changed your mind?”
Rosalind understood what she wanted to say. “No.”
Tilda sighed and sat up straight. “In the past, I was very determined to support you in finding out the truth. I thought your mother’s death needed the truth! To bring the wrongdoers to justice! But seeing Ulric’s devotion to you, I wonder if doing so would be too cruel to him?”
If Rosalind acted that way, she and Ulric would go from being close partners to enemies!
Who could accept that?
“Tilda, up until now, Ulric’s mother has shown no remorse. She might even be proud of herself for destroying all the evidence!”
