“If I were a bad liar, then you’d be a rogue!”
Rosalind instinctively retorted, only realizing afterwards that her voice sounded almost playful, as if she were being shy.
Ulric insisted on taking her words seriously, “Yes, I am. I admit it.”
“I don’t want to talk to you!”
Rosalind wanted to leave, but Ulric held onto her tightly, refusing to let go.
She became angry, furrowing her brows. “How did you become like Johnny? Have you learned to be shameless?”
When he acquired Eastsun Corporation back then, she suspected that it wasn’t Ulric’s decision! He was always calm and composed, never showing his emotions. How could he do something so childish?
This was a move that didn’t bring him any benefit at all!
“I found out that occasionally being shameless is the only way to keep you by my side.”
Before meeting Rosalind, Ulric’s life was routine-waking up, attending meetings, and traveling for work domestically and internationally. He didn’t think anything was wrong with it. But after reuniting with her, Ulric began to realize that being too much of a gentleman would lead to disadvantages in relationships.
Just like now, if he politely chose to let go of her hand, he would have missed holding it for a little longer.
“What kind of theory is this? Did Johnny teach you?”
“I figured it out myself.”
Rosalind laughed in anger, “Let go already. I’m going to eat.”
Only then did Ulric release his grip. “Alright! After you finish eating, I’ll have someone take you to rest. You must be tired.”
“I’m not leaving.” Rosalind furrowed her brows slightly. She only had one month left and she didn’t want to be away from Ulric even for a moment. “I’ll stay here with you.”
Seeing that Ulric seemed troubled, she asked, “Is there something inconvenient?”
Of course it was inconvenient!
The person he loved was sleeping beside him, but he couldn’t touch her. It was so frustrating.
“I… um…” Ulric tried to speak several times but didn’t know how to say it. In the end, he sighed and gave up. “Forget it. Just stay here then.”
He tried hard to suppress his desires!
“What’s wrong? Just say it. If you don’t tell me, how would I know?” Rosalind didn’t even consider that possibility and was completely confused by him.
She thought Ulric definitely wanted to be with her, but now, it seemed like he didn’t…

“Say it! I want to know!” Rosalind adopted a tough attitude.
Ulric awkwardly turned his face away and spoke in a low voice, “I just have an injury on my chest. Everything else is fine.”
Rosalind innocently raised an eyebrow, pressing further, “Yeah, and then?”
“And then… when I’m by your side and smell your scent… I can’t help but…”
She looked at Ulric’s slightly reddened handsome face and then glanced at the certain area below his waistline. She suddenly understood!
“You’re like this, yet you still think about these things!” It was hard to believe that this was something the usually abstinent and aloof Ulric would do!
Ulric sighed heavily, and his attitude became careless.
“Rosalind, I am a man.”
Of course he would have physical desires!
When Rosalind wasn’t around, he took care of himself. Now that she was by his side, how could he resist?
Rosalind remained still for a while before tentatively speaking up, “So… are you going to ask Johnny to find another woman for you?”
“Rosalind!”
She flinched at his shout. “Why are you shouting? You’ve done this kind of thing before.”
