Bianca almost trembled. “At this point…”
“I blame her, and I blame myself. I blame myself for not being able to protect her. If I had been more careful, none of this would have happened.” Nelson clutched his hair. This powerful man showed his suffering for the first time in front of others.
Bianca’s eyes were moist with pain. “Why not tell her that Grandpa is sick? She would soften. If she knew, she would definitely soften.”
“And then what? Pity me?”
He remembered their marriage started because of Grandpa, but now he didn’t want to use her anymore.

Callie had been recuperating at Regan’s place for nearly three days until she received a call from Nancy. The other party was gentle. “Madam, sir asked me to bring you some things.”
Callie, feeling weak, instructed the security to let her up.
Nancy brought a suitcase filled with Callie’s clothes from Paucaster Villa. In fact, she didn’t have many belongings there; it was just a few items.
After looking through them, Callie said, “Thank you, Nancy. Sorry for the trouble.”
Nancy sighed helplessly, feeling regret over the end of the young couple’s relationship. She wanted to offer advice but chose to remain silent after seeing Callie’s expression.
“Madam, your health has never been good. You must take care of yourself.”
Callie forced a smile. “Alright, but please don’t call me Madam anymore.”
Nancy wanted to say something but ended up shaking her head. “Your father didn’t stay long at Paucaster Villa. Whenever he had free time, he would always talk about you, afraid you were suffering and not living well. He always felt he was a burden to you and said that one day he would repay you for everything.”
“For his sake, take care of yourself.”
Mentioning Reuben lifted Callie’s spirits a bit, but she was puzzled. “My father said that? Why did he say that?”
“Sometimes he wasn’t very clear-headed; I don’t understand either.”
Callie didn’t press further and saw Nancy off. She squatted by the suitcase to organize her things when she suddenly found a photo frame in her laptop bag. The photo inside was of Maevelyn as a child with the Oconnor family.
Callie frowned.
The frame was hidden inside, so it made sense that Nancy hadn’t noticed it.
But who put it there?
Callie suddenly remembered that before Reuben disappeared, he often held these photos and muttered to himself.
He said that the person in the photo was her…
She frowned and looked closely at the people in the photo. She used to think she resembled Maevelyn, but now, recalling everything she discovered in Anbusea and her own background, she suddenly felt… the person in the photo almost looked like her.
In an instant, a very bold idea popped into her mind…
This thought made her instinctively fall back and sit on the ground.
At that moment, Regan returned and was startled by the scene. “What happened?”
She stepped forward to help her up. Callie was absent-minded and just held Regan’s hand tightly, not daring to voice her guess for a long time.
The idea was too bold.
“Speak up!”
Callie came back to her senses but slowly shook her head. “It’s nothing.”
Regan found it strange. Then Callie suddenly asked, “Regan, I heard that Charlotte was identified by a birthmark when she returned to the Ellison family. What kind of birthmark was it?”
Regan was stunned and thought seriously. “I don’t know exactly. Only Sienna and Ahmad know about it.”
