At first, everyone thought he was just some spoiled rich kid, always flanked by two bodyguards, showing off wherever he went. But now, their opinions began to change.
“Georgia, Mr. Falcon’s piano piece is absolutely breathtaking. No wonder he’s such a renowned musician abroad-he’s simply incredible,” Cyan exclaimed dramatically.
Georgia responded with a simple hum of agreement. Luther’s piano performance was indeed beautiful, undeniably moving.
“Wow, I never imagined that Mr. Falcon under the spotlight could be so handsome, so captivating. I think I’m falling for him,” Cyan gushed, her eyes sparkling as she stared at Luther on stage.
“You should go after him then. He probably wouldn’t turn you down,” Georgia replied flatly.
Cyan giggled mischievously. “He doesn’t like me. He likes you.”
Georgia rolled her eyes and said nothing more.
As the first piece came to an end, Luther leaned into the microphone and spoke. “The next piece is dedicated to a girl who has captured my heart. From the moment I first saw her, I was enchanted, unable to forget her.”
“Wow!” The crowd erupted in whispers of shock and curiosity.
“Who is it? Who could make Mr. Falcon feel this way?”
Before tonight, most people only saw Luther as a wealthy playboy. But after hearing his piano performance, nearly everyone in the room was awestruck by the music he created. He had used his talent to establish himself in their hearts, conquering their ears with sheer brilliance.
“She must be extraordinary! Someone like Mr. Falcon, a true prince, would only go to such lengths for an exceptional woman.”
“Maybe I’m the girl he’s talking about!”
“Please, has Mr. Falcon even spoken to you? Dream on.”
Amid the murmurs, the music began again. This time, it was a tender melody, tinged with a subtle, elegant sorrow. It sounded like longing-yearning for something forever out of reach.
As the music flowed, the room fell silent.
What had started as a birthday banquet had now transformed into a full-fledged concert, thanks to Luther. Everyone listened intently, afraid to make even the slightest noise that might disrupt the performance.
The melody struck a chord deep within Georgia’s heart. She found herself transported, memories of the past flooding her mind. It was Kayden she thought of-the aching void he had left behind.
This sorrowful tune stirred something profound in her, and tears began to well up in her eyes.
Finally, the piece came to an end.
But instead of the thunderous applause one might expect, the room remained hushed, enveloped in the emotions the performance had evoked.
Luther picked up the microphone again, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “This song is one I composed just two days ago. It was inspired by a girl who has moved me deeply. She is the source of my creativity, the driving force behind my music. Such an extraordinary woman-I’ve never met anyone like her in my life. I’m grateful to her for showing me that I, too, am capable of love.”
“Mr. Falcon, who is the girl? Is she here tonight?”
“Yes, can we see the girl who has touched you so deeply? We’re all dying to meet her!”
Luther smiled faintly, lowering his head for a moment to take a deep breath. Then, he spoke again. “She’s here. She’s right over there.”
His gaze zeroed in with pinpoint accuracy on Georgia’s seat.
Snap!
A sharp sound cut through the air as a spotlight suddenly illuminated a single figure in the crowd. The girl at the center of the light was none other than Georgia.
Bathed in the glow of the spotlight, Georgia froze. She wasn’t wearing a glamorous gown, just a casual outfit-jeans and a simple T-shirt. Yet none of that mattered. Her beauty was undeniable.
Even in her current state-worn down and visibly tired from days of tearful nights-her radiance couldn’t be dimmed. She was like a rose in full bloom, exuding a mesmerizing charm.
Under the light, her figure seemed to glow with an ethereal beauty. The faint glimmer of tears in her eyes only added to the poignancy of the moment, making her even more striking.
Caught off guard, Georgia hurriedly wiped at the tears brimming in her eyes. But even this small gesture was noticed-by Luther on stage and by the countless pairs of eyes now fixed on her.
Seeing this, Luther’s spirits soared. A surge of hope coursed through him, filling him with renewed energy.
She cried. She shed tears. To Luther, her tears meant she had been moved by his music. And if she was moved, it meant he had a chance. His heart swelled with joy.
He believed his music had been the key to touching her heart, never realizing that Georgia’s emotions were stirred by painful memories, not him.
The crowd began to buzz.
“Who is she? She’s stunning! She looks like she stepped straight out of a painting. Even dressed so simply, her beauty is undeniable. That’s what makes her truly remarkable.”
“Of course! What kind of woman could make Mr. Falcon go to such lengths? He rented out the entire Empire Club for this! Do you know how much that costs? Five million dollars!”
“You don’t know who she is? That’s Georgia from the Adams family-the former number one beauty of Hiphia! But I heard she married a fool.”
“What? She’s the one who married a fool?”
“Yes, it’s her. Hiphia’s most beautiful woman!”
“My God, she’s married, and Mr. Falcon still confessed to her?”
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s because of her looks.”
As the chatter grew louder, Georgia’s companion Cyan turned to her, her face filled with envy. “Georgia, aren’t you touched?”
Georgia sniffled and replied, “No.”
Then, with an exasperated tone, she asked, “Cyan, did you know Luther was going to do this?”
Despite standing in the spotlight, Georgia felt no joy-just irritation.
Cyan raised her hand in mock surrender. “I swear I had no idea! All I did was convince you to come to his birthday party. I didn’t know what he was planning.”
“Georgia!” Suddenly, Luther’s voice rang out again from the stage.
