Kayden shook his head helplessly, saying nothing as he massaged Scarlett’s leg, using his inner strength to relax the blocked meridians in her muscles.
The tension eased, and Scarlett immediately felt relief.
A few minutes later, Kayden stepped back and said, “Try moving now. I’ve cleared the blockage in your meridians. It should feel much better than before.”
Scarlett cautiously moved her leg, testing it. To her surprise, the pain from the cramp was completely gone. Even the lingering soreness had vanished in just a few minutes.
She looked at Kayden with wide eyes, asking excitedly, “Kayden, do you really know massage therapy?”
Kayden shook his head lightly and replied, “No, I know a bit about medicine. Your cramp was caused by a meridian blockage-basically, prolonged physical activity caused blood flow to get obstructed. This can even happen when you’re asleep, waking you up in the middle of the night with a cramp.”
“You know about that?!” Scarlett exclaimed in amazement. “It does happen sometimes! Is there a way to fix it? It’s really painful for me.”
Kayden nodded. “Of course. Acupuncture can help clear the meridians and prevent this from happening again.”
“If you don’t mind,” he continued, “I can perform acupuncture for you. That way, you won’t experience cramps during exercise anymore.”
Scarlett froze for a moment, then hesitated, asking awkwardly, “Does it require taking off my pants?”
Kayden immediately understood what she was concerned about. As her son-in-law, she naturally felt uncomfortable around him in such a situation.
Before he could answer, Scarlett added, “If it does, let’s just get it over with now. But don’t tell your father-in-law about this, or I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Kayden sighed and reassured her, “It’s not necessary. Your pants are tight enough for me to locate the acupuncture points.”
“Alright, then go ahead!” Scarlett said, lying down on the sofa with her back to Kayden.
Kayden took out his silver needles and began the acupuncture process. Almost an hour passed by the time he finished.
Just as Kayden was removing the final needle, the door creaked open.
Harvey entered the room, and when he saw the scene before him, his eyes widened in shock.
“You… you… what are you two doing?!” Harvey stammered, his face turning red.
At that moment, Kayden’s hand was resting on Scarlett’s hip, making the situation look highly suspicious.
“Good heavens! This is outrageous!” Harvey exclaimed, nearly jumping in frustration.
He shut the door behind him and rushed over just as Kayden finished removing the last needle.
Scarlett quickly sat up, flustered, and said, “Harvey, it’s not what you think!”
Harvey glared at Scarlett’s tight outfit and asked angrily, “Scarlett, what exactly were you doing? What were you two just doing?!”
Kayden remained silent, leaving Scarlett to explain.
“It’s not what you’re imagining, Harvey,” Scarlett said hurriedly. “I had a cramp earlier, and Kayden happened to be home, so I asked him for help. He said he knows acupuncture, so I let him try it out.”
“You-this is too much! Too much!” Harvey stammered in fury, his anger making it hard for him to form coherent sentences.
Kayden glanced at the two of them, sighed, and said, “I’ll go find Georgia. You two can sort this out.”
Without waiting for Harvey’s response, Kayden left the house, shutting the door behind him.
Although Scarlett was beautiful and alluring, Kayden had no inappropriate thoughts about her. He was calm and unbothered, knowing his intentions were pure.
Inside the house, Harvey was nearly fuming with rage.
“Scarlett, explain yourself! How could you do something like this with your son-in-law? What were you thinking, letting him do something so inappropriate?”
Scarlett rolled her eyes in exasperation. “I didn’t do anything wrong! All he did was help me with my muscles!”
Harvey remained unconvinced, continuing to lecture her, and the two began bickering back and forth.

Kayden, meanwhile, had left the house and started calling Georgia. First, he tried her phone, and then WhatsApp, but she didn’t answer.
He searched for her at the company and even went to the Adams family estate, but there was no sign of Georgia anywhere.
Hiphia wasn’t a particularly large city, but finding someone in it still proved challenging.
It wasn’t until evening that a company assistant told Kayden that Georgia had gone to Empire Club.
Empire Club was a high-end bar in the city, frequented by wealthy young men. It was also notorious for being a place where cab drivers often picked up drunken women late at night.
Georgia wasn’t the type to indulge in nightlife or reckless behavior. So why had she gone to such a place?
Could something have really happened to her recently? Scarlett had mentioned that Georgia seemed emotionally down.
Whatever the reason, Kayden knew he had to find her immediately.
—
At Empire Club, the atmosphere was different that night. It wasn’t the usual lively scene of music and crowds. Instead, the entire venue had been rented out by a mysterious wealthy heir.
That heir was none other than Luther Falcon, Georgia’s distant cousin. A businessman from Zlando with a fortune worth billions, Luther was also an overseas-educated smooth-talker.
Despite being rejected by Georgia before, Luther wasn’t one to give up. To him, anything he wanted was something he had to possess, no matter the cost.
For weeks, he’d been hovering around Georgia. He noticed her mood shift after an older man visited her at the restaurant one day. Though he didn’t know the details, he saw it as an opportunity.
Georgia was vulnerable, and her useless husband wasn’t around. Luther believed his persistence would eventually win her over.
Thus, he had planned tonight’s elaborate setup. Renting out the entire Empire Club, he transformed it into the perfect scene for his grand gesture.
It was also his birthday, and he was convinced that this occasion would finally move Georgia’s heart.
Georgia arrived at the club, having been invited by Cyan.
Lately, Georgia had been struggling emotionally. Every day felt like torture. When Cyan suggested going out for drinks, Georgia agreed immediately, deciding to let loose for once.
Her goal was simple and straightforward-she came to the club to drown herself in alcohol and forget about Kayden.
