The voice tore through like a fierce gale, sharp and piercing, almost deafening in its intensity.
As the sound echoed, something streaked through the air, colliding directly with the tornado that was about to engulf the three members of the John family.
With a loud boom, the tornado vanished, and the world fell into silence.
The explosion sent the four brothers staggering backward, their muscles tensing as fear gripped them.
Once they steadied themselves, they realized the tornado behind them had also dissipated. Incredibly, a single voice had obliterated their wind blades.
Their faces turned ashen, and they instinctively raised their heads, scanning the surroundings for the source of the voice.
The man had not yet appeared, but his voice had arrived first. Such power required immense inner strength.
At that moment, outside the fortified walls of the John family estate, a man soared through the air.
Yes, he flew-racing through the night sky from beyond the John family walls.
Everyone in the John family was dumbstruck.
Could humans fly? The answer was no. Gravity bound people to the earth. Yet, this man was flying, crossing over the Scott family’s courtyard and heading toward them at incredible speed.
“It’s him! It’s really him!” Lucy exclaimed as she spotted the figure in the night. His flight was high, above the courtyard lights, but Lucy could sense his presence with absolute clarity.
No one else could achieve such an extraordinary feat.
Daphne froze, her eyes wide with shock. She saw the man stepping through the air, her gaze filled with pure astonishment.
Her faint hope had come true. The man had really arrived. The way he appeared was utterly unique-he flew through the air, stepping on branches and leaves for support. His entrance was so striking, so unmatched, that no one could rival his style.
Finally, he descended gracefully from the night sky, landing softly on a tree branch before touching down on the ground. He stood directly before Daphne and Mary. As his feet hit the earth, their hearts thudded in unison.
The moment he stood there, a palpable wave of righteousness radiated from his presence, penetrating everyone around him.
Kayden’s back was to Daphne and Mary, but their hearts were already racing uncontrollably.
Daphne stared at his silhouette, her heart brimming with happiness. It was him. It was really him! The person she had silently hoped would come had arrived.
How could he have known what she was thinking?
This was beyond belief-it was pure joy.
Mary’s eyes were locked on Kayden’s back. She, too, recognized him. It was the man she had been searching for these past few days.
How had he arrived so precisely? Had he been secretly following her all along?
Without a doubt, he must have tailed her ever since he got off the plane. Now that she was in trouble, he had shown up to rescue her. It had to be part of some elaborate plan-a hero coming to save the damsel in distress.
But Mary didn’t need such theatrics. She had already fallen for him. From the moment they met on the plane, she had been captivated. Now, with this dramatic entrance, she was even more smitten.
This man was simply irresistible!
“Dr. Scott!” Daphne suddenly called out, her voice breaking the silence.
Kayden slowly turned to face her.
The moment Mary saw his face, she froze, blinking in shock. Turning to Daphne, she asked in disbelief, “Daphne, is this the doctor you said stole your first kiss?”
Daphne’s face turned crimson, as red as a ripe apple. She lowered her head, too shy to meet Kayden’s gaze, and bit her lip, nodding in silent admission. Her emotions were a whirlwind-she was overjoyed and utterly flustered.
Kayden’s sudden appearance was too perfect, aligning completely with her secret wishes.
Mary’s fantasies shattered like glass. He was the man her cousin had spoken of.
“It’s you?” Mary began, but Kayden ignored her.
“Mr. John, are you alright?” Kayden asked, his eyes fixed on Memphis John.
His impression of Memphis John wasn’t terrible. Although their first encounter had been unpleasant, his later inquiries revealed the man to be honorable and well-regarded.
Out of respect, Kayden maintained a polite demeanor.
Memphis John looked at Kayden with gratitude and nodded. “I’m fine, but you-”
Before he could finish, Kayden interrupted, “As long as you’re alright.”
“Was it them who tried to destroy your family?” Kayden turned, his gaze landing on the four men.
The four intruders hadn’t yet recovered from the shock of Kayden’s dramatic entrance. Flying! They had witnessed him flying with their own eyes. Even their superior couldn’t accomplish such a feat.
The scene was so overwhelming that they were left utterly stunned.
When Kayden spoke, they finally snapped out of their daze.
The leader of the group, trying to remain composed, stared at Kayden and asked, “Who are you?”
Kayden didn’t bother answering such a pointless question.
Kelvin, who stood behind Memphis John, quickly interjected, “They’re the ones who murdered everyone in the house! All these bodies-they’re responsible.”
Kayden’s gaze sharpened as he studied the four men. He frowned at their attire.
These men wore uniforms of honor, but their actions were anything but honorable. How could they be worthy of such a symbol?
It was an insult-a desecration of that uniform.
Shaking his head, Kayden said coldly, “You shouldn’t be wearing those clothes.”
The four men froze, exchanging uneasy glances.
The leader scowled and sneered, “And what does that have to do with you?”
Kayden’s voice turned icy. “I’ll give you three seconds to take off those clothes. If you do, I might consider leaving your bodies intact. Otherwise, I’ll ensure nothing remains of you.”
The sheer dominance of his words struck like a hammer.
But the four men weren’t easily intimidated.
The leader let out a derisive laugh. “You don’t have the right to make us take these off.”
Kayden’s gaze grew even colder. Nodding slightly, he said, “Alright. In that case, you’re destined to die without leaving a corpse. So, how will it be? Will you take your own lives, or should I do it for you?”
His words were like thunder, each one more shocking than the last.
The four men felt a growing unease.
Kayden’s aura was overwhelming. Standing before them, he exuded a dominance that crushed everything in its path. He was unstoppable, a force that could not be challenged.
