The Innate Spiritual Body is a rare and mystical constitution on Earth!
There are only a few people who are born with this constitution. From the very moment they are born, people with this extraordinary gift are fundamentally different from others because their bodies are imbued with an ancient, primal energy.
However, this very spiritual energy comes with a peculiar side effect-it often manifests as flaws in their appearance.
Yet, if this energy is ever fully awakened, they will undergo a huge makeover, and they will obtain a level of stunning, breathtaking allure and beauty that could captivate almost anyone.
Should these individuals choose to cultivate their energy, their progress would be extraordinary. They would advance at a rate unmatched by others. They are once-in-a-million prodigies.
On the other hand, if any Warrior get such girls like Felicity, they can use these girls to boost their inner power!
The birthmark on Felicity’s face is a direct result of this spiritual energy within her!
The Ninefold Dragon-Chi within Kayden reacted violently. They were sending a message to Kayden: they all craved this girl.
For Warriors, there are mainly three ways they could make use of this girl, to obtain her power, each way darker than the last. One way is to drink her blood. For those who cultivate martial arts, spiritual energy is an invaluable resource for increasing their internal power, and nothing surpasses the blood of a girl with an Innate Spiritual Body. However, this crude method is primarily employed by lesser Warriors, as the effect on their strength is limited. These mediocre Warriors lack the capacity to comprehend greater secrets of cultivation, leaving blood-drinking as their only means to harness spiritual energy.
A far more brutal method exists, which is practiced by high-ranking Hermits-to eat her flesh. While this method won’t grant immortality, it provides a staggering boost, enough to elevate one’s cultivation by an entire level.
In Felicity’s case, should a Hermit at the Grand level discover her, they wouldn’t hesitate to devour her flesh to gain the strength to ascend to the Master level!
The Master level, after all, is a level that countless Hermits spend their lives striving to achieve. The temptation of such power is virtually impossible to resist.
But those who have already reached the Master level wouldn’t resort to such savagery to eat Felicity’s flesh. Instead, they would seek to have sex with her.
Taking her virginity would propel them to an unparalleled peak of power and help them reach the Legendary level!
Reaching that level was almost like claiming dominion over all of Seclela and gaining unrivaled power!
The Ninefold Dragon-Chi had offered Kayden a glimpse of this truth. At that brief moment of his contact with Felicity, a torrent of information surged into Kayden’s mind. Although he could not yet control the Ninefold Dragon-Chi fully, it seemingly would emerge of its own accord whenever the time was right.
In this vast world, not only those with Innate Spiritual Body existed but also those born as Innate Warriors! Innate Warriors were geniuses, like the ones White Wolf had once described. These were the elite, prodigies destined to stand out in the realm of cultivation!
As Kayden’s gaze locked onto Felicity, she flushed with embarrassment. Her eyes darted downward, and her voice trembled with insecurity as she muttered, “I… I’m sorry. Did my face scare you?”
The words snapped Kayden out of his thoughts. He quickly realized he had been staring too intensely, and that must have unsettled her.
His heart tightened at her reaction. The girl’s repeated self-effacing remarks weren’t born of mere shyness. That red birthmark on her face had likely shadowed her life, making her question her worth and shrink away from the world. Kayden reached out. His fingertips brushed lightly against her cheek, tracing the edges of the birthmark. His voice was steady and sincere. “Scare me? Not a chance. You’re so beautiful. How could you scare anyone?”
Felicity froze, and her cheeks suddenly blazed as if his words had lit a fire beneath her skin.
This was the first time anyone, let alone a man, had ever called her beautiful. His words were unexpected, disarming, and so profoundly simple that they struck her to her core. Whatever his reasons for saying them, they had already sent ripples through her heart, igniting a feeling she had long thought unreachable.
Every woman yearns for compliments, and Felicity was no exception. Though she had long resigned herself to her appearance, branding herself as unworthy of such praise, a spark of joy still lit her from within at this moment.
Stealing a shy glance at Kayden, she found herself mesmerized. He wasn’t just handsome. In her eyes, he was striking!
His presence commanded the space around him, yet it didn’t feel overwhelming. It felt safe. That was it. Safety!
As though with him by her side, the world’s jeers and cruel whispers no longer mattered. His mere presence offered a sense of shelter, which made her feel that she could forget the scorn, the hurt, and the weight of her insecurities.
“Ah!” Felicity snapped out of her daze. She quickly turned her face to avoid Kayden’s fingers. Lowering her head, she stammered, “I’m not… I’m not beautiful!”
Kayden let out a chuckle. “You’re beautiful. Honestly, you might be the most stunning woman I’ve ever seen.”
In the past, Kayden divided women into two categories: one was Georgia, and the other was everyone else. But now, it seemed there was a new category-women like Felicity who were born with an Innate Spiritual Body that set them apart.
She was a treasure!
Perhaps this girl was the key he had been searching for, the one who could help him fully awaken the long-dormant power of Ninefold Dragon-Chi. The realization sparked a ripple of excitement Kayden couldn’t entirely hide.
Felicity furrowed her brow. She lifted her hand and waved it in front of Kayden’s eyes.
Kayden caught her handy. “I’m not blind. You’re ashamed of the birthmark on your face, aren’t you? Trust me, I’ll take care of it for you. I’ll help you see the true beauty you’ve never realized was yours all along.”
That birthmark wasn’t a flaw; it was a mark of her rare and precious Innate Spiritual Body and an imprint that told her uniqueness.
“You-” Felicity instinctively took a step back, looking at him warily. “Do you… do you work for some kind of beauty salon?”
Kayden froze for a second, momentarily speechless.
Clearly, she had mistaken him for a salesman trying to drum up business for a nearby beauty salon.
Felicity shook her head quickly and said, “I can’t afford your cosmetic treatments. I still need to go find Owen to get money for my mom’s treatment.”
Kayden sighed and explained, “I’m not a beauty salon worker, and I won’t charge you a single penny. On the contrary, I’ll take you to Owen and make sure you get the money you need. Because on your own, you’ll never manage it.”
Before she could protest, he stepped closer, grabbing her hand.
Felicity gasped. Her face lost its color in shock. But there was no time to think. Kayden was already leading her forward, pulling her along decisively.
As she stared at his back, Felicity couldn’t help but murmur inwardly, “Isn’t this just a bit too domineering?”
But Felicity felt a curious sense of exhilaration as Kayden held her hand. Deep down, a rush of inexplicable satisfaction bubbled up in her heart. As a fan of novels featuring overbearing CEOs, she felt just like the heroine from one of those novels.
“How much does Owen owe your father?” Kayden asked as he strode ahead.
To Kayden, death and suffering were no longer matters of significance because he had witnessed too much of both to dwell on them. If Felicity weren’t a girl with the Innate Spiritual Body, he wouldn’t have bothered stepping into her troubles at all.
Felicity let out a soft sigh before replying, “A hundred thousand! He borrowed it five years ago. Back then, our family’s land was taken to build a hydroelectric plant, and we were compensated with hundred and fifty thousand. But barely a few days after we received the money, Owen came knocking. My father ended up lending him a hundred thousand.”
Her voice tightened with bitterness as she added, “People in our village don’t dare cross Owen. He grew up in Vernon, has connections, and throws his weight around. Most of the villagers avoid him, but keeping your distance doesn’t mean he’ll stay away. When he heard about our compensation, he came straight to our house. My father didn’t want to stir up trouble, so he handed over the money.”
Her tone grew colder as she continued, “But after that, every time we asked for it back, he brushed us off with excuses. Last year, my dad fell gravely ill. He needed treatment, and we begged Owen to repay the loan. But it was always the same excuses, the same stalling tactics. Because of him, my father couldn’t afford to go to the hospital, and… he died.”
Her eyes welled with frustration. “Now it’s my mom. She’s critically ill and needs surgery. That money could save her life, but we don’t have it anymore. I’ve been trying to track down Owen for an entire week. Today, I finally spotted him here, in this park. But just when I thought I’d cornered him, he slipped away!”
