Chapter 969: The “Father” and “Daughter” in Distress

Book:The Psychotic Girl's Revenge Published:2025-2-7

The black car passed by Gabriel without stopping.
Gabriel walked with his head down, carrying the lunch box. Suddenly, his little face was pinched, and an old lady sitting next to him on the ground stared at him and laughed, “This little girl is really pretty. Come, sit here with grandma and eat.”
In order to get food, everyone basically gathered in the southern city district. The streets and alleys were full of people, and they spent the night next to some houses and eaves.
No one knew what the situation was like in the city, but since the Folsom family had come out to take charge, they weren’t that worried.
Having food to eat and uniform, thick clothes to wear greatly eased the hearts of the people in the city, and everyone gathered together and could still talk and laugh.
He’s not a little girl.
Gabriel pouted his lips, ran quickly inside, and ran into a restaurant that was full of people.
He quickly went upstairs and saw Enrico sitting in the corner, his head tilted back, a hat covering his face, his hands casually resting on his knees. The wound had already scabbed over, but it still looked bloody.
Enrico was wearing a long black down jacket, and like everyone else in the alley, his face was covered so that it was inconspicuous.
“Here’s your food,”
Gabriel ran over, squatted in front of Enrico and handed him the lunchbox.
Enrico took off his hat and gave him a cold look. The little guy was really devoted to him.
After a night of hard work, Enrico was really hungry. He picked up the lunchbox and started eating.
Yesterday he was still able to fight against the two families, but today he had become a fugitive.
The equipment and weapons were all new to him. Faced with such power, he wasn’t sure if his hypnosis would still work.
“Here’s a drumstick for you.”
Gabriel squatted down next to him and awkwardly used his chopsticks to transfer the drumstick into Enrico’s lunch box. ‘Eat up and fill your stomach.’
Enrico was speechless for a moment.
The two of them were sitting in the corner in the dim light, surrounded by a crowd of people. No one could see their eyes, only Gabriel’s actions, and they all laughed.
“You’re a thoughtful daughter, unlike my boy, who can’t even feed himself.”
“Good girl, you’re daddy’s little cotton-padded jacket.”
Enrico glanced at his ‘daughter’. She had a depressed expression on her little face and was squatting there, too afraid to speak out.
“Hey, what do you think of the clothes the Folsom family is giving out? I’ve never seen them before. They’re light and warm, amazing.”
As they talked, the conversation drifted to the down jackets.
“I don’t know. I heard that there will be more good things handed out after dawn, so we should go in order.”
“Leonard must have met someone, because they’re giving out clothes and food.”
“I know. I heard Leonard’s words before Papa Bree yesterday. He’s getting married, and he’s happy about it.”
“Yes, yes, I heard that too. Leonard is getting married, tomorrow.”
“Then I know more than you. The bride is the girl in the white fox fur. She looks like a fairy standing in the snow. No wonder Leonard is happy to marry such a beauty.”
Enrico sat in the corner eating his meal. A bite of food went into his mouth, tasteless.
He lowered his eyes and thought about Leonard’s shout.
“JT, I will marry Paige the day after tomorrow. Come and have a drink with us!”
He’s getting married, so he’s really happy.
He’s been reduced to this by them, all his men are under control, he can’t even escape through the city gates, and she’s going to be spending her wedding night with Leonard.
Spending the wedding night.
Enrico thought about this phrase, and suddenly he applied some strength to his hand, and the chopsticks were broken right in his hand.
Gabriel looked at him with some surprise, and then silently handed him the chopsticks in his hand, “You eat.”
“…”
Enrico ignored him.
Gabriel thought about his task, put down his lunch box and leaned over to him, saying thoughtfully, “Are you upset? Let me chat with you.”
Paige’s uncle had been woken up by him, and he wanted to wake up Daddy too.
“You know what? When I lived by the North Gate before, there was a couple next door who fought every day. I climbed over the wall to watch them fight, and they had some interesting arguments. Let me imitate them for you.”
“You’re a man, you know how to come back, why didn’t you die out there? Did you hide your savings again?”
Gabriel said in a shrill voice, his little hand constantly touching the metal ball on his chest. “No way, that man actually dared to hide his savings. My father… My father doesn’t even dare to. My father doesn’t even have a wallet. Usually, if he doesn’t bring my mother, his assistant, or me, he will starve to death.”
“Shut up,” Enrico had no time for this, listening to his father with his handicapped limbs.
Gabriel didn’t care, and continued to break his meaty little fingers, continuing, “But apart from being poor, apart from being a bit scary, apart from forcing me to study, apart from making me dress and put on my shoes by myself, apart from taking me running, apart from fighting with me for the place next to my mother, apart from locking me out of my room…”
He kept on counting, but even after he had counted all ten fingers, he still hadn’t finished counting the “besides”.
The next second, a chicken leg was shoved into his mouth, blocking all his sound.
“If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll give you away as a child bride,” Enrico said with a stern face.
It’s so noisy.
He turned around, with his back to Gabriel, and looked at the sky outside the door. The snow kept falling endlessly.
Next, would he escape out of the city, or organize people to kill their way back.
He hadn’t thought it through.
The bridal chamber.
He didn’t want Paige to go to the bridal chamber!

The black car stopped in front of the Folsom family. Cynthia opened the car door with an umbrella. “Sister Paige, hold your coat close, it’s windy outside.”
Paige slowly opened her eyes, lifted her leg and got out of the car, then entered under the umbrella and whispered, “Where’s Carrie? I haven’t seen her. Is she too tired to get up?”
Given Carrie’s temperament, she shouldn’t be.
“Where?” Cynthia held the umbrella close to her ear and teased, “Our president is having a tantrum, so the first lady has to comfort him, right?”
“Rafael?” Paige was stunned for a moment.
Cynthia nodded, “We got off the plane and saw you collapsed in the snow. Carrie was very worried and went straight to you. After you were settled, she went to look for the president… and the president got angry.”
In her impression, Rafael was aloof and noble, with a little detached aura of a celestial being.
It was nothing like yesterday, when his face was as dark as the bottom of a pot.
It really looked like he had been bombed.
Paige felt as if she had experienced half her life in the past few days, and she was numb with exhaustion. Hearing this, she rarely curved the corners of her mouth, “President Rafael, you’re not jealous of me, are you?”
“I think so,” Cynthia said, helping her inside.
Paige was a little helpless.
Outside, the wind and snow were cold, but inside the Folsom family, warm currents were surging.
