“Sister-”
Kelsey was hung on the execution platform, too ashamed to even look Paige in the eye.
She was so stupid, trying to help but only making a mess of things, and having to rely on Paige to save her.
Paige stood below the execution platform, looking up at her with tired eyes and smiling faintly, “It’s okay.”
As long as she was okay.
She looked around and heard Beatrice mutter behind her, “Luckily, he’s not completely possessed, and knows he can’t hang Gabriel, who is just a child.”
Kevin sat nearby, his face slightly twitching.
As far as he knew, Gabriel had never even entered the Davis family with Kelsey, and the child was nowhere to be seen.
Paige tilted her head, and snowflakes landed on her eyelashes, covering her vision in a light white. She closed her eyes and locked eyes with the man in front of the tall building window.
Enrico stood in front of the window, looking down with a mocking smile. “Quite a crowd,” he said.
Naturally, there was a crowd. Their people filled all four surrounding streets.
Kevin sat in his wheelchair, tapping his fingers on the armrest as he watched Enrico stand defiantly at the window.
A bullet flew through the air, and Enrico leaned sideways.
The bullet missed and hit the windowsill.
Enrico smiled and stood back on the windowsill, looking at Paige’s face through his dark glasses. “You really want to kill me? Have you thought about the consequences?”
“Bang!”
A gunshot echoed through the sky, scaring the people around and making them shrink back.
The bullet landed on the execution platform, right at Kelsey’s feet.
Kelsey was so scared that she couldn’t even breathe.
There were guns pointing at the execution platform all around!
Brangelina was so shocked that she looked left and right and shouted, “Didn’t I say not to do anything stupid? What are you doing?”
Suddenly, someone fired a gun at Enrico.
“JT is a scourge to the country and a living hell, so why would we invite him for a cup of tea?”
The first person to shoot was the person who copied the Gustin family’s villa in the city. After hearing Brangelina’s words, he rudely retorted.
As soon as the words fell, he was shot in the shoulder, and a bloody hole was shocking to look at.
The person fell to the ground, and the crowd immediately became chaotic. The person from the Gustin family’s villa shouted and rushed forward, vowing to kill JT.
Paige looked past him with a bloodless face, her gaze tired and numb.
Fortunately, it was snowing, fortunately, the weapons were outdated, and fortunately, none of them were good shots and couldn’t kill someone with a single shot.
“Calm down, you guys. We have to save the people first,”
Kevin said loudly, looking up at Enrico at the window. “JT, you hung someone here, so you must have some kind of explanation, right?”
Upon hearing this, the crowd temporarily fell silent.
“Yes,” Enrico said nonchalantly, “for example, if you, Leonard, commit suicide in front of me, I will let them go.”
“…”
Kevin looked over with a stern expression.
“What, are you afraid?” Enrico leaned against the window sill, his bloody hand retracting inside, his eyes looking at Kevin with contempt.
“It’s not that I’m afraid, but there is an ancestral rule in my family that says a person’s integrity is thinner than paper and lighter than snow, and cannot be trusted,” Kevin said.
Upon hearing this, Enrico laughed loudly. If his hand wasn’t injured, he would really want to applaud Leonard, ‘Interesting, interesting, I find that you people from big families really say a lot of hypocritical things.’
It’s obviously just simple self-interest, but you have to put it in a grandiose way.
Paige stood there in silence. With the Folsom family and the Gustin family’s villa people all there, there was no room for her to speak.
But she did not retreat, and she always stood in front of everyone.
Suddenly, there was a noise coming from afar, and everyone chose to look over. Someone pushed their way through the crowd and came running, “Chaos, chaos… Third Master, it’s bad, the people in the city got the information from somewhere that our two families are putting food on the ground here, and a lot of people have come.”
Now the streets were completely blocked.
Looking forward, the crowd saw that a large number of people, driven by the instinct to survive, had torn a gap directly through their crowd and rushed in. “Thank you, Leonard, thank you, Mr. Gustin-”
Everyone shouted and rushed in.
The scene was out of control for a while. Someone was pushed so hard that they screamed, “Who said there is food here? Get out, all of you! There is no food here! There is no food!”
Rafael stood in the crowd, pinching his eyebrows.
It was ruthless. Knowing that someone would come to surround him, Enrico simply made the scene more chaotic.
“Why not?” Enrico leaned against the window and laughed, “The Folsom family and The Gustin family’s villa still have two private warehouses each, don’t they?”
Kevin looked directly at the man in the sky and realized that Enrico had not burned the two large granaries they had previously missed not because he could not find a place, but because he was waiting for today.
If there was a lot of grain, he and The Gustin family’s villa would of course be willing to relieve the world, but now, with only two granaries left, if all of it was given out, it would only keep the people in the city alive for a day or two, and they themselves would also be dragged down and die.
Some fast people had already rushed to him and knelt down to beg him to release the grain.
Kevin clutched the armrest of his wheelchair tightly, and someone from The Gustin family’s villa shouted in a panic, “Why are you pulling us? It’s better to go up and kill that JT, he’s the one controlling the grain, if you kill him, there will be grain!”
“We are so hungry, where do we get the strength? Please be kind, you feed us first, we will do anything for you.”
The people knelt on the ground and begged.
The people in The Gustin family’s villa in Duplicat City were speechless and could only watch the chaotic situation with a pale face.
Someone also said, “After we eat, what will we eat? Starve to death?”
On hearing this, Enrico looked down at the densely packed crowd with contempt, “They’re all living Buddhas, why aren’t they willing to sacrifice themselves to save people?”
His voice was cold and thin, each word full of sarcasm.
Kevin’s face was very solemn.
“It seems that this Buddha is not much different from the King of Hell,” Enrico laughed.
“Leonard, I don’t know what you’re backing down for. These villains want to kill, they kill; they want to burn grain, they burn grain. They do whatever they want, they have no humanity at all, there’s only one way to deal with them: kill!”
A resounding voice came from The Gustin family’s villa in Duplicat City, ‘Everyone follow me and charge in. Whoever kills JT will get 500 gold bars from me!’
Hearing this, the subordinates immediately became agitated and were about to rush towards Papa Bree together.
Kevin’s men were also itching to get started, and when they saw that Kevin did not explicitly stop them, they excitedly ran inside.
The people who rushed in to beg for food were pushed to the side, some fell, some hit their heads, and some stepped on people.
Only the real members of the Folsom family anxiously went to stop them, “Are you crazy? The people are still here, this fight will kill someone!”
“Don’t do it! It will kill someone! Stop! You guys stop!”
“Don’t charge!”
The voice of the Folsom family was quickly drowned out by the crowd, blinded by the gold. All of his men charged recklessly forward.
The ignorant crowd wailed.
Enrico’s men, who were ambushed around them, shot at them one after another. Bullets shot through the chaotic crowd, and blood splattered onto the ground. Even if they were hurt, everyone still charged recklessly forward.
