Chapter 918 Enrico had a vision

“Bang.” The stone slab suddenly closed.
Enrico and Paige disappeared from everyone’s sight.
Everyone was stunned. Eduardo was startled, his face white, and hurriedly tried to move the stone on the wall again.
However, no matter how hard he tried, the stone slab showed no sign of opening again.
“Go out and get the tools and see if you can break this thick stone slab open,” Kevin said, as he was pushed along last.

The stone slab above their heads was sealed shut.
The expected sharp pain did not come.
When Paige fell, she fell onto Enrico’s arm, and the cushioning made her feel less pain, but Enrico groaned as he held her, and he curled up.
“Are you okay?”
Paige quickly threw away the booklet she had fallen with her, sat up, helped him up, and felt his arm.
“It can’t be broken.”
Enrico stretched his arm a little, pushed the hair she had stuck to her face in the chaos back and hooked it behind her ear before looking around.
The damp stone room was lit by a wall lamp, which shone eerily.
White smoke was slowly seeping out of the four top corners of the wall.
The white smoke sank.
“Cover your nose,”
Paige covered her nose and mouth, her voice becoming a little muffled, “This Jared, in order to reach a higher level in hypnosis, often locks himself in here and uses different types of mind-altering smoke to hone his mind, which is actually to train his drug resistance.”
Only if one is not sensitive to these things can one use these mind-altering smoke, drugs and other paranormal things to help oneself and hypnotize others more quickly.
Hearing this, Enrico followed her, covering his nose and mouth with one hand and looking around.
The entire stone chamber was empty, with nothing in it.
There was only the shape of a stone door on the wall.
Enrico stood up and pushed, but the stone door was extremely heavy and he couldn’t move it. He continued to check for any hidden mechanisms.
Paige sat on the ground, pressing the booklet against her knees and opening it, continuing to read the content she hadn’t finished, hoping to find a way out inside.
She read quickly, her brows furrowing as she read on, “This Jared, in order to force himself to carry out these unorthodox methods, after falling, there was only a full day before the door would automatically open.”
He’s a psychopath, isn’t he.
No wonder he was able to get to the top of the hypnotism rankings in JT. He’s so ruthless with himself, let alone others.
Enrico groped the extremely damp stone wall. After a few steps, his vision suddenly became blurry. He reached out to support himself against the wall, closed his eyes, and then opened them again. His vision became slightly clearer.
Paige didn’t feel anything and continued to look back at the content in the booklet.
She had no idea where JT got all these mind-bending things. Jared actually tried each one of them and recorded all the responses, what aroused lust, what made one drunk…
Paige kept flipping back to Jared’s latest notes.
Fearbone Fragrance:
Causes terrifying visions.
Jared had not yet fully conquered this level, which meant that the smoke here would cause visions of one’s deepest fears.
There were no more notes after that.
Paige looked up and was about to speak to Enrico when she saw the tall figure in front of her collapse a little.
Enrico fell in front of her, his long legs bent and his eyebrows knitted.
“Enrico!”
Paige’s face instantly paled, and she threw the booklet away and rushed over, “Are you okay?”
“My heart doesn’t feel well.”
Enrico reached out and grabbed the shirt on his chest, his breathing becoming heavy, and a thin layer of cold sweat quickly covered his forehead, his face turning cold white.
Did the effect of the love potion wear off so quickly?
Paige sat down on the ground and helped him up with all her strength, letting him rest his head on her lap. She reached out and smoothed the wrinkles in his shirt, reassuring him over and over again, “Are you feeling better?”
Her fingers had a cool temperature, and they stroked his chest through the thin shirt, smoothing out the heat of his rapid heartbeat.
Enrico lay on her lap, closing and opening his eyes, trying his best to regain his consciousness.
He looked up at her with deep, dark eyes and raised his hand to stroke her cool little face. “How are you?”
“I haven’t felt anything yet. I’m somewhat resistant to these things,” Paige said.
Last time, when the smoke from the white balls had filled the room, everyone else had passed out, but she had remained conscious the whole time, even though she was unconscious.
This time was no different. He had already been affected, but she hadn’t felt anything yet.
“It’s good that you don’t feel anything,” Enrico’s breathing eased slightly.
A muffled knocking sound came from above their heads, and Paige leaned against the wall to take a look up. The entire stone chamber was filled with billowing white smoke.
“They’re trying to break the stone slab. Just hold on a little longer,” Paige whispered, placing her hand on his chest.
Enrico’s heart was beating particularly violently, faster than normal.
The white smoke was sinking at a speed visible to the naked eye, so there was little point in covering his nose and mouth.
“Mm,” Enrico responded, and then lay quietly on her lap with his eyes closed.
After a long while, he suddenly opened his eyes.
Before him was endless blackness, and also endless white.
The sky was full of snow, which had turned the entire courtyard white. The young girl in the courtyard was dressed in a red dress, like fire and blood. She looked up at the snow that was falling, her eyes filled with tears, and she smiled…
“Enrico, the snow is so beautiful…”
She took the knife in her hand and stabbed it into her chest.
The blood-stained hem of her dress slowly fell to the pure white snow, staining it red.
“Sister…”
His lips moved, mumbling, “No, no…”
Paige pressed her back against the cold, damp wall, reached out to wipe the cold sweat from his face, and, hearing his voice, anxiously looked into his eyes.
His eyes were open, but his gaze had completely lost its focus.
Her heart gave a sharp tug. She patted his face. “Enrico, that’s just the effect of the smoke. It’s triggering the deepest fears in your mind. It’s all just an illusion… Don’t get caught up in it. Your sister is dead. She’s been dead for many years.”
She thought that Enrico must have seen the image of his dead sister again.
She wasn’t sure if this had any effect, but Enrico’s long eyelashes moved, and a look of dazedness flashed in his eyes.
He slowly turned around, curled his legs, and buried his entire face in her arms.
“Paige, hug me,” he whispered.
“Okay, I’ll hug you.”
Paige wrapped her arms around him firmly, lowered her head and kissed the corner of his eye, “All the bad things are over, don’t get caught up in it, don’t get caught up in it.”
Enrico wrapped his arms around her waist and shrunk up like a child.
Paige looked up and quickly smashed the slate open. She couldn’t let Enrico indulge in this illusion all day.
Enrico’s mind was like a kite that had been released. He tried to pull it back, but he couldn’t.
His vision flickered, and he woke up in a secret room.
He was lying on a bed, his hands and feet shackled. The entire bed was a cage.
He was in a trance and couldn’t remember where he was.
