Elaine POV
My arms were planted in the dirt, Azaire’s hands dug into my ass as my face pressed against nature’s floor. Any attempts to keep my moans at bay failed a long time ago. Azaire thrust into me so hard it felt so good it made my toes curl.
Azaire emptied his desire into me. I know it sounded corny but it felt like he gave me a part of his soul. It must have been the intensity of the mate bond. I felt alive because I took wolf enhancers to awaken my wolf earlier. I was full of energy and life.
“You feel so good babe,” Azaire groaned. “I needed you so badly.”
His sounds of satisfaction turned me on more. My walls clenched around his member.
Azaire gripped my fingers into my hips and thrust deep into me.
I cried out as I reached my climax.
Thank goodness the hideout house was miles away from us.
“Are you alright?” Azaire asked as he slipped out of me.
“I’m more than okay,” I sighed.
He helped me up. I was covered in mud but I was satisfied too. It was worth it.
“Don’t you want to give me a hug?” I teased.
Azaire eyed the mud on my arms and thighs. “I’d rather give you a shower.”
“You expect us to walk into the house like this?” I asked, staring at myself.
He chuckled. “No.”
“What do you have planned, Mr Shaw?”
He wrapped his arm around my waist and tugged me to his solid chest. I traced my index finger on his chest and smiled. I missed him so much. I never dreamed my Dad’s plan would be so vile. He let me go so I could enjoy the little time I had with enjoy so he could slaughter me later.
What gave him the right to decide who lived and who died? Just because he was my Father doesn’t mean he had the right to decide. I shook thoughts of my villainous Father away and focused on the man I loved.
“I’d love to make you Mrs Shaw,” he said softly.
He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine in a gentle kiss.
“Are you asking?” I teased.
“Come on, Elaine don’t put me on the spot.”
“Why not?”
“Because I want it to be special. I know a river close by and I’m going to give you a nice bath. Good enough for you?”
“The thought of you giving me a bath sounds amazing. Is that all we’re going to do?”
“Ugh, don’t be a tease, Elaine. I might give in.”
I laughed. “That’s the point!”
After thirty minutes of a sensual bath out in the heart of nature, it was time to pick ourselves up and head back to the hideout. Everyone except Opal, Lucas and Fran was there. Richie wanted to make sure his heir and future wife were completely out of harm’s way. I didn’t know where she was just in case I was captured and forced to reveal their location. Opal’s parents were capable of anything. After all, they were best friends with Alpha Laiken.
“There you guys are!” Rae exclaimed.
“Can’t a guy get a little privacy?” Ross grumbled.
Rae and her sister were in the living room while my brothers and Richie played poker in the dining room. The hideout was a two-story building in the middle of nowhere surrounded by thick trees and tall hedges and protected by hills and rivers. It was a beautiful place to wake up every morning.
I wondered how they got it. They didn’t use it often because the house was in disrepair and the furniture was outdated.
Rae shot him daggers. “Her Mom was worried about her and I have great news!”
“Mom? She’s here?” I gasped.
“Right, I forgot to mention. While you were with your Pack we got your Mother out of her Pack and brought her to the Blood Moon Pack.”
My eyes filled with tears. “Thank you so much.”
“No need to thank me, mate,” he said, his brows dipping.
“Still it means a lot to me.”
“Elaine, I love you. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do.”
“Ugh, get a room,” Richie whined.
“Believe me, brother, we will,” Azaire grinned and tugged me to his side.
“Where is she?” I asked Rae.
“She’s checking on Isaura. She’s so sweet and she’s got strong magic. I guess that’s where you get your strength from.”
“You said you had great news, what is it?” Azaire asked.
“Oh right, Lynn and I were comparing notes and-”
“Aww!” I cut her off.
I loved a good make-up story! Though, Lynn rolled her eyes. She would need some time but her icy heart would thaw.
“As I was saying… I think we know how to get rid of your curse and Lawrence’s.”
That’s the first time I’ve heard of the possibility of a cure. Lawrence abandoned the poker game and joined us in the living room.
“Are you sure? I’m on a ticking clock here,” Lawrence said.
“I wish you’d stop saying that!” Rae blasted. She exhaled and calmed herself. She turned to Lawrence and sighed. “I wish you’d stop talking about dying.”
“I’ve only spoken about it twice. The second time being now,” Lawrence argued.
Rae wasn’t having it though. “Twice is too many.”
Lawrence shook his head but didn’t counter.
“Anyway! You both have to give up your other halves and become whole. It’s totally possible and painless,” Lynn finished.
“Yeah, it should cure you guys. If you’re not hybrid then you’re not cursed! Simple,” Rae beamed.
“So I have to give up my witch half?” I questioned.
Wow, I just got these powers and they made me feel powerful and good.
“No!” Gail, my Mom gasped. “Elaine, you can’t do that.”
She closed the distance between us and grabbed my hands. She looked at me frantically as if I’d told her I planned to jump off a bridge tonight.
“You can’t do that. Your powers are sacred, you’re a powerful witch, my love.”
The pain in her eyes broke me. She felt betrayed. “I don’t want to hurt you…”
“You don’t know what you’d be doing if you give up your witch half,” she insisted.
“Then she’ll remain cursed, Gail.” Azaire put a protective hand on my shoulder.
“We’ll find another way. There are always loopholes,” she said firmly.
Suddenly my eyes drooped and my vision blurred. My throat tightened up and I gasped for air. What’s happening to me? I could barely feel my limbs.
“Elaine, babe, what’s wrong? Speak to me!”
I could hear Azaire but I couldn’t respond.
“Dove, what’s happening?” I demanded from my wolf.
She cried out in pain instead. I felt her shatter. The pain was relentless.
“Wait, Elaine, what did you take?” Blazer asked. “What did you take damn it?” he demanded.
“Wolf enhancers,” I confessed.
