Jade looked down at the necklace that she had thought she lost, but there it was. The same crescent moon-shaped necklace with a circular pearl in the middle. The same one Adryan had gifted her. Next, she turned to open the envelope, which was a small rectangular. When she took out the note, there wasn’t much, just a line. After reading it, Jade didn’t know what to feel.
‘I’m sorry for everything’
~Darius
When Jade read Darius’s note, she was honestly conflicted. She didn’t know what she expected it to be. Maybe an explanation about why he did what he did. maybe the words he said we enough. Some thinks are left unsaid. Yet there was relief, relief that everything was over. Now she could live peacefully without the fear of any more attack on the pack and loss of life due to the war.
Everyone in the pack was overjoyed to hear that the war wasn’t going to happen. That they could return back to their lives after more than an year of being on the edge.

When Marco let her know of Darius’ location, it wasn’t what she expected to see when she visited him finally with Adryan.
It was an open field, beautiful as the sunshine light up the place as flora and fauna interacted with eachother, with the green grass that made the surrounding look light and peaceful and in the middle was a lone tombstone.
Jade’s hold tightened on the boquet of white carnations as she saw the name on the tombstone. She stopped in tracks. She felt pain, why? she didn’t know. Just knowing that he lived a life filled with more sorrow than joy made her feel extremely sad.
Yes he did all those bad things, but he was just a child born in tragedy. maybe when they say that ‘some children are simply born with yragedy in their blood’ it might be true.
as Adryan and Jade both reached the tombstone, they stood in silence as only thesound of rhythmic sound of cicadas sounded.
Darius’s tombstone was under a weeping willow tree that stood proud and tall with its thick branches and gree leaves that provided shade for the tombstone below it. Marco was the one to bury Darius.
Adryan placed the boquet of lillies he had in his hand on the tomstone. his eyes finding the name on the tombstone, sadness enveloping him as he was hit with nostalgia.

he saw a young Darius’s smiling face in front of him, the memories of the good time hitting him like a truck as a tear trickled down his chin. He was mourning for is brother, with whom he had estranged a long time ago.
Jade mimicked Adryan’s actions and placed the boquet of white carnations on the tomstone as well.
‘I hope you find peace in the afterlife’ she thought.
As Jade and Adryan turn to leave, with their hands clasped, a leaf from the weeping willow blows in the wind and lands lightly on the tombstone.
