“Hey! Mr. Clark, there’s no need to be so narrow-minded. I was just complaining a bit. Can you forgive me?” Molly panicked and quickly caught up with Flynn.
Upon hearing this, both Scarlet and Rose were shocked. How did the feisty Molly turn into a docile lamb?
And she actually apologized to that jerk Flynn?
Little did they know that Molly had been taking Aetherium Dust given by Flynn these past few days, and its effects were remarkable!
She felt her overall strength had improved, and her aura had become much more powerful. She was on the verge of breaking through to the Grandmaster level!
“I forgive you! But don’t let it happen again!” Flynn slowed down his pace, turned to Rose, raised an eyebrow, and headed towards the kitchen with the beef in hand.
“You scoundrel!”
Rose and Scarlet almost simultaneously cursed at him, then awkwardly glanced at each other before walking towards the villa without saying a word.
“Those who can cook, get in the kitchen. Those who can’t, assist by washing vegetables. No slackers allowed!” Flynn placed the items on the kitchen table and shouted from the hallway.
His gaze fell on Rose, smirking with a clear message intended for her.
“Scarlet, go pinch him!” Rose glared fiercely at Flynn.
Scarlet couldn’t help but smile bitterly as she walked up and kicked Flynn. She complained, “You should treat Ms. Sharp better since she’s my guest!”
Flynn smirked and said, “It’s hard for a woman who can’t even cook to find an eligible man! She’ll be single forever! I’m just giving someone some advice. Is there something wrong with that?”
“I don’t need that! Get lost!” Rose’s face immediately darkened as she walked past Flynn and bumped into him hard before heading straight into the kitchen.
Flynn remained undeterred and chuckled, “Hey! Ms. Sharp is too sensitive, isn’t she? I didn’t mention any names. Why are you so angry?”
He had been troubled by Rose a few days ago and didn’t want to miss any opportunity to retaliate against her.
He seized every chance to piss her off!
“What are you going to do when we are busy in the kitchen?” Scarlet rolled her eyes and stood at the kitchen door with a chicken in hand.
Flynn lounged on the couch lazily and replied, “I’m waiting to eat.”
“You jerk! Such a jerk!” Molly, Scarlet, and Rose all cursed at him at the same time before turning their backs on him.
Having a conversation with him would give them heart attacks.
With Flynn’s sharp hearing, he naturally heard their dissatisfaction but slyly added, “So much talk just for cooking. If Callie and Harriet were here, they wouldn’t be so chatty. They would just get things done!”
After saying that, he lay back on the couch and started playing games.
The spacious kitchen was now filled with over a dozen beautiful women with long legs, each busy with their tasks.
Thodell Mansion was filled with the scent of various perfumes, and the women in the room moved like models on a runway, creating a lively atmosphere.
After playing a few rounds of video games, Flynn stretched his arms when Rose approached him.
“Let’s go outside and have a talk.”
The two of them went to the backyard and stood by the cliffside.
As the sun set, Rose stood beside him. The gentle breeze lifted her long hair as a faint halo enveloped her stunning face.
Her gaze fell upon the city center of Niarak, where a fifty-story building stood tall-the headquarters of Lilia Hussain’s Dragon Gate Group.
“The rules for the medical competition have been announced. It will take place three days from now at the Dragon Gate Group’s headquarters. Officials from the government will be present.”
“Two patients with similar symptoms will be selected. However, specific diseases have not been disclosed.”
“But it will definitely involve complex diseases.”
“After the treatment, the Hall of Healing will have their people examine the patients’ pulses before medicine experts from abroad conduct various tests on them.”
“The winner will be determined based on the patients’ recovery progress.”
Flynn nodded in understanding.
The competition method seemed fair.
By not revealing the diseases beforehand, they couldn’t prepare in advance. They had to rely on their skills.
Everyone would showcase their abilities.
With the endorsement of both domestic and international doctors, no one could question the fairness of this competition.
“On the surface, this competition is about competing for the title of Niarak’s top pharmaceutical company. But do you know its deeper purpose?” Rose brushed her hair behind her ear and turned to look at Flynn. Her eyes shimmered like stars, incredibly beautiful.
Flynn smiled faintly. “Of course I know. If it were just about humiliating Layla Woods publicly, I wouldn’t be very interested.”
“What I’m interested in is its deeper purpose.”
“If we win this competition, it will prove that the Sharp’s Group has unparalleled research and development capabilities.”
“The investors supporting Lilia Hussain will become uncertain, and Dragon Gate Group doesn’t want that to happen.”
“They will launch an all-out attack against the Sharp’s Group before investors have time to react.”
“The real battle is about to begin.”
Layla Woods was considered a legend in everyone’s eyes. If Flynn openly challenged and destroyed this legend, it would undoubtedly cause an uproar.
In that case, Lilia Hussain’s investors would feel uneasy, and Layla Woods’ position would be shaken, leading them to support the Sharp’s Group without hesitation. After all, business was driven by profit-seeking motives.
Once Layla Woods fell from grace, Dragon Gate Group would withdraw their investment.
However, Lilia Hussain would never allow this situation to happen and would launch a counterattack against the Sharp’s Group within one or two days after the competition ended.
Rose nodded and stared into Flynn’s eyes seriously. “So, can you help me win this competition?”
“Are you joking, Ms. Sharp?” Flynn sneered slightly with a smirk on his face.
“We’ve known each other for almost three months now. Would I take on something I’m not confident about?”
“Layla Woods is just an ordinary person in my eyes!”
Rose’s serious expression instantly melted away as she revealed a bright smile.
“I know your abilities. I just wonder if you would show mercy towards Layla Woods because of your previous engagement.”
“What I want is absolute suppression-a resounding victory-not just a narrow win!”
“Engagement?” Flynn was momentarily stunned before grinning mischievously. “I almost forgot about that if you hadn’t mentioned it.”
“Forgot?” Rose snorted lightly. “Stop messing around! Everyone knows that you helped me mostly because Layla Woods broke off her engagement to you.”
“You wanted to humiliate her thoroughly-to prove that she was wrong.”
Flynn sighed and shook his head. “Oh, come on. Give me a break.”
“It seems you don’t understand me at all.”
“I want to humiliate her just to tell that arrogant woman that without learning proper manners, one cannot achieve greatness!”
People needed to learn etiquette so that they could succeed in life.
Flynn wanted to teach Layla Woods humility!
“You have a point.” Rose nodded approvingly before coldly adding, “Layla Woods always looks down on everyone-her haughty demeanor annoys me too.”
“But I don’t agree with your statement about not knowing you well enough-aren’t you just another scumbag playboy?”
Flynn wasn’t offended. Instead, he replied sarcastically, “Gentlemen love beauties. Isn’t there something wrong with that? Some people are just frigid.”
“Are you into women? I haven’t seen you showing interest in any man…”
“Get lost!” Rose kicked Flynn hard while wearing an angry expression.
“My sexual orientation is perfectly normal!”
“Normal? Then what type do you like? Do you need me to help introduce some men to you?” Flynn smirked playfully.
“What type?” A complex expression appeared in Rose’s eyes as she stared at Flynn for several seconds before parting her red lips slightly…
