“Senior, what should we do next?” Billy asked, transferring his consciousness into his mind.
“Wait a bit longer,” the man in white responded.
“How much longer?” Billy gritted his teeth. “I feel like I can’t hold on much longer…”
“I don’t know how much longer. Just wait and see,” the man in white replied again.
Uncle, are you messing with me?
Just as Billy felt he had reached his limit, a beam of white light shot through the blood-red mist like lightning and entered his forehead.
Thud!
The next moment, Billy’s eyes rolled back, and he fainted, collapsing straight onto the floor.
“Still so weak,” the man in white said indifferently.
As he spoke, he emerged from Billy’s body and began to suppress the berserk bloodline within him.
“Boss, Boss, wake up…” Billy had no idea how much time had passed when he vaguely heard Stout’s voice.
“Uh…” Billy groaned and slowly opened his eyes.
He looked around and found himself lying on an open ground not far from the tower. Stout, Allyson Houston, and Kaitlyn Houston were watching over him.
“Boss, you’re awake?” Stout’s eyes brightened when he saw Billy open his eyes.
“Yes,” Billy nodded slightly.
“Mr. Stuart, how do you feel? Are you alright?” Allyson Houston asked.
“Thank you for your concern, Princess. I’m fine,” Billy smiled and then asked, “How did I end up here?”
“Boss, I carried you out,” Stout explained briefly after a pause.
They had waited outside the tower for about a quarter of an hour when the blood-red mist in the surrounding void receded into the tower like a tide.
The mist inside the tower also disappeared completely.
Once everything returned to calm, Stout and the others entered the sixth floor of the tower and found Billy unconscious on the floor with no other abnormalities.
Stout then carried Billy outside the tower.
“How long was I unconscious?” Billy asked again.
“Exactly three days,” Stout replied.
“So long?” Billy was taken aback.
“Yes,” Stout nodded and seemed to remember something. “Boss, check your cultivation level!”
“Cultivation level?” Billy was puzzled for a moment.
The next moment, his eyes widened slightly in surprise.
He was astonished for two reasons.
First, he had reached the fourth-rank Comprehending Empyrean Realm! In other words, this berserk bloodline episode had directly elevated him by four levels!
Second, he was puzzled as to why he had broken through without undergoing a tribulation.
Of course, he could guess that it was likely due to the man in white!
He just hadn’t expected Mr. White to have such an ability-to help someone break through without needing a tribulation!
It was incredible!
“Mr. Stuart, what exactly happened to you?” Allyson Houston asked, looking at Billy.
She was naturally surprised that Billy had broken through without a tribulation and had increased by four levels at once.
Even she, with all her knowledge and experience, couldn’t figure it out!
“I originally wanted to see if I could sense the Chaos Compass through the berserk bloodline,” Billy paused before continuing.
“The berserk bloodline can temporarily boost my strength by several levels, including my Psychic Power.”
“I thought that after going berserk, I might be able to sense the Chaos Compass’s presence. But it seems I was overthinking it; there’s still no trace of the Chaos Compass.”
“Then I fainted. As for my breakthrough, it should be related to my bloodline. The last time I used this technique, my cultivation level also increased by three or four levels.”
Hearing this, Stout’s mouth twitched slightly.
Boss, your lie is too clumsy; it’s hard to believe.
He knew well that it must have been the white-clad hero from the Nine Dragons Cauldron who intervened; otherwise, there was no way Boss could have changed so drastically.
“Really?” Kaitlyn Houston looked skeptical.
“Of course it’s true. I have no reason to lie to you,” Billy shrugged.
“Did you get the Chaos Compass?” Kaitlyn Houston asked again.
“I didn’t even see the shadow of the Chaos Compass. How could I have gotten it?” Billy replied.
As he spoke, he took out his storage ring and handed it to Allyson Houston and Kaitlyn Houston. “If you don’t believe me, see for yourselves!”
Although Allyson Houston and Kaitlyn Houston felt it was somewhat inappropriate, they instinctively checked the storage ring’s space.
The result was that aside from some cultivation resources, there was nothing else in the storage ring.
This was obviously intentional on Billy’s part!
Long ago, he had gotten into the habit of storing valuable items in the Nine Dragons Space to prevent anyone from inspecting his storage ring.
As for the existence of the Nine Dragons Cauldron, unless Billy wanted it known, it was nearly impossible for others to detect it anymore.
“You really didn’t find the Chaos Compass?” Kaitlyn Houston asked again after retracting her Psychic Power.
She had already scanned Billy’s body with her Psychic Power and found no other storage rings on him.
“I’ve shown you my storage ring. Do you still not believe me?” Billy frowned slightly and said coldly, “Do you want to search me?”
“Mr. Stuart, please calm down,” Allyson Houston interjected.
“Kaitlyn didn’t mean that. She just finds it strange that you broke through without a tribulation and is curious.”
“The breakthrough might be related to my bloodline,” Billy turned to Allyson Houston and replied.
“I understand,” Allyson Houston nodded.
After a brief pause, she continued, “Mr. Stuart, we’ve been here for quite some time. Should we head to the exit?”
“Aren’t we looking for the Chaos Compass?” Stout asked from the side.
“We have no clues about the Chaos Compass right now; we don’t even know where to start looking,” Allyson Houston replied.
“And our time is limited. If something goes wrong on our way back and we miss the entrance opening time, we’ll be stuck here for a hundred years before we can get out.”
“I almost forgot about that!” Stout slapped his forehead. “Boss, let’s go quickly. I don’t want to stay in this ghostly place for even one more day!”
“Give me a quarter of an hour to adjust my breathing before we set off,” Billy replied.
“Alright,” Stout nodded.
Billy then sat down cross-legged on the spot.
Adjusting his breathing was just an excuse; he needed to figure out what new thing had appeared in his body!
When he woke up earlier, he noticed something new inside him but hadn’t had time to investigate what it was!
As for why Kaitlyn Houston and Allyson Houston hadn’t detected it, he guessed it was likely similar to the Nine Dragons Cauldron-it didn’t want to be discovered.
“Senior!” Billy called out several times after transferring his consciousness into his mind.
“Billy, stop calling. Mr. White said he’s sleeping and told you not to disturb him,” Purple Spirit’s voice sounded.
“Billy, do you have questions for Mr. White?” Purple Spirit continued.
“I’ve already asked him everything you wanted to know. Just ask me directly!”
