Along the way, Tree Spirits and Demonic Beasts would occasionally attack, but their levels were not high enough to pose a threat to the two of them.
During their journey, they discovered several signs of battles. Each place had the bodies of twenty to thirty individuals, identifiable by their attire as members of the four factions.
After a rough estimate, the Imperial Clan had lost nearly forty to fifty people, mostly those who had separated earlier.
The Imperial Clan had initially entered with around a hundred people, with ten remaining at the entrance. Several others had died at the hands of Tree Spirits.
Based on Billy’s and Stout’s estimation, most of the people who had separated earlier were likely gone. After all, there were probably other battles happening elsewhere that they hadn’t discovered.
Therefore, it was likely that only around twenty people from the Imperial Clan were left, following Allyson Houston and Kaitlyn Houston.
As for the casualties among those twenty people, it was unknown.
Apart from the Imperial Clan, the Holy Sect had suffered the second highest number of casualties, with around thirty to forty people.
Relatively speaking, the Emperor Clan had the fewest casualties, with only around ten people in total.
“Boss, where exactly is Fog Mountain? Why haven’t we arrived yet?” On this day, as they flew through the air, Stout looked at Billy and asked.
Time passed quickly. It had been over ten days since they encountered Leroy Oneal. During this time, they hadn’t neglected their cultivation. They refined resources while on the road.
“We’re almost there. If we travel at full speed, we should arrive in a little over ten hours,” Billy responded.
“Boss, do you think the others know that the tower is in Fog Mountain?” Stout continued to ask.
“Tree Spirits and Demonic Beasts didn’t just attack the two of us. It’s certain that others have been attacked as well,” Billy replied.
“Are you saying that they might also know?” Stout pressed on.
“Yes!” Billy nodded.
Although he didn’t know the cultivation levels of Allyson Houston, Dayton Krueger, and Josiah Shaw, based on his guess, they were definitely not beneath Leroy Oneal from Heavenly Palace.
So, ordinary Demonic Beasts wouldn’t be their opponents. In other words, it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to extract the location of the tower from the Demonic Beasts’ mouths.
“In that case, Boss, we should hurry. If they reach the tower before us, our efforts will be in vain,” Stout said eagerly.
“No rush!” Billy smiled faintly. “Even if they reach Fog Mountain before us, going early may not necessarily be a good thing.”
“What do you mean?” Stout paused for a moment before understanding. “I see!”
He understood!
From what they heard from the Demonic Beast man earlier, the main force of the Demonic Beasts was stationed at Fog Mountain, or more accurately, near the tower.
Moreover, according to their information, the strength of the Demonic Beasts was definitely not weak. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to let those people consume some of the Demonic Beasts’ fighting power first.
“Fog Mountain is probably more dangerous than we imagined!” Billy pondered briefly before continuing, “Let’s go find a place to descend. You should undergo tribulation first, and then we’ll both improve our cultivation before heading there!”
After speaking, Billy led Stout to descend onto a deserted mountain.
Stout had successfully refined a large amount of high-level cultivation resources in these past few days, so he smoothly encountered his tribulation.
The tribulation process went without any major surprises. After enduring the final thunderbolt, a burst of overwhelming aura erupted from Stout’s body, fully displaying his first-rank Comprehending Empyrean Realm cultivation level.
Once Stout successfully broke through his tribulation, both of them entered the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space. Stout consolidated his cultivation while Billy continued to refine resources.
Two or three days later, they emerged from the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space. Billy’s cultivation had advanced to half-step Comprehending Empyrean Realm.
“Let’s go to Fog Mountain!” After storing away the Nine Dragons Cauldron, Billy led Stout forward through the air.
After more than ten hours, their figures appeared in an unfamiliar star domain.
Floating tens of thousands of meters away from them was a range of undulating mountains. One peak soared into the sky, its upper half shrouded in mist.
Fog Mountain lived up to its name!
“Boss, there seems to be a fight over there. Should we go take a look?” After walking forward for a while, Stout pointed to the right and spoke up.
“Let’s go see!” Billy nodded.
Soon after, just as Billy and Stout approached not far from where the fight was taking place, a loud noise reverberated through the sky.
Immediately after, a figure flew towards them in a backward motion. A curved streak of blood hung in mid-air.
“Kaitlyn, is that you?” Recognizing the person, Stout called out.
The person flying towards them was none other than Kaitlyn Houston from the Imperial Clan!
“It’s you guys?” After recognizing Billy and Stout, Kaitlyn Houston paused for a moment. From her condition, it was evident that she was seriously injured and her combat power was less than sixty percent remaining.
Naturally, she hadn’t expected Billy and Stout to appear here.
Throughout their journey, they had encountered several life-and-death attacks. The group of twenty people had been reduced to just a few remaining individuals.
Initially, in her eyes, she thought that Billy and Stout had long perished. But now seeing them alive and well truly surprised her.
“Kaitlyn, where is Princess?” Stout continued to ask.
“You need to leave quickly; it’s dangerous here!” Kaitlyn Houston exclaimed loudly after another moment of astonishment.
“Hehe, since you’re here, you might as well stay!” A male voice sounded out as four or five men and women flew towards them.
The leader among them was Dayton Krueger, the Crown Prince of the Emperor Clan!
“So it’s this Emperor Clan young master who’s been bullying our Kaitlyn?” Stout glanced at them and said with a sneer. “You can choose to end your own life; I might consider leaving you with a soul!”
“Hahaha…” Dayton Krueger burst into laughter. The others behind him wore expressions that made it clear they thought Stout was an idiot.
“Do you still refuse to end your own life?” Stout continued looking at Dayton Krueger. “Think carefully; if I make a move, you won’t even have a soul left!”
“You’re just an idiot!” A woman from their side who was at the fourth-rank Heavenly Empyrean Realm stepped forward. “Go ahead and make your move; let me see what you can do…”
Before she finished speaking, Stout immediately made his move. With ten percent of his strength behind it, his fist struck out.
The woman casually glanced at him and then raised her hand to form an attack that met his head-on.
After a loud crash, both Stout and the woman were sent flying hundreds of meters away from each other. They were evenly matched.
“Hmm?” Several people including Kaitlyn Houston were stunned at the same time.
“Surprised?” Stout looked at the woman calmly and said lightly, “Are you unsatisfied? Then call more people to help you; you alone are no match for me!”
“Don’t overestimate yourself!” The woman coldly replied before charging at Stout once again.
Just as she reached halfway there, Billy flicked his wrist and a blade aura flashed past her body.
Her body split in half and fell from mid-air while her soul displayed shock as it soared through the air.
Kaitlyn Houston and Dayton Krueger turned their heads simultaneously towards Billy. The expressions of shock on their faces were no less than that of the woman’s soul.
Kaitlyn Houston’s expression was particularly vivid!
From the moment she first saw Billy and Stout until now, she hadn’t really paid much attention to them. Even when they passed the second round of assessment in the Imperial Clan courtyard, she was only slightly surprised.
At that time, when Princess instructed her to have Billy and Stout participate in this special mission, she couldn’t understand why Princess chose two Entering Empyrean Realm individuals.
But now… Billy had actually killed a fourth-rank Heavenly Empyrean Realm with a single slash!
It was too unbelievable!
