Chapter 2650: Hand over your storage rings

“This is a Different Dimension within the Chaos Realm,” Billy asked, “Do trees have spirits?”
“Of course!” Purple Spirit responded, “Anything with life has the potential to evolve into a spirit, and trees are no exception!”
“Alright!” Billy was enlightened.
After a brief pause, he continued, “By the way, why does the Tree Spirit take away human souls?”
“I’m not sure about that. Normally, Tree Spirits wouldn’t devour human souls,” Purple Spirit responded, adding further, “There are two possibilities. One is that they kill those souls after capturing them.”
“The other possibility is that they are being controlled. Someone or something that controls them may need those souls.”
“I see,” Billy replied thoughtfully.
Relatively speaking, he believed that the second possibility was more likely. If the Tree Spirit wanted to kill those souls, it could simply do so on the spot without the trouble of capturing them first.
“Billy, be careful. I have a feeling that this Different Dimension isn’t as simple as it looks. It’s dangerous!” Purple Spirit added.
“Besides the Tree Spirit, can we detect anything else?” Billy asked further.
“Not at the moment. Let’s continue exploring deeper into it,” Purple Spirit said.
“Alright!” Billy replied and then withdrew his consciousness from his sea of knowledge.
“Everyone, stay alert!” Kaitlyn Houston exclaimed loudly, leading the group forward.
After walking for a while, they saw several fallen bodies on the mountainside below. It was expected that the previous three groups had also been attacked.
They continued flying for thousands of miles, encountering another wave of attacks from the Tree Spirits. However, throughout the entire process, the Tree Spirits never appeared directly.
After the wave of attacks, three men in the late stage of the Comprehending Empyrean Realm fell again. Their souls were taken away by the flashing Tree Spirits, just like before.
“Princess, this method won’t work,” a man in a blue robe said to Allyson Houston.
“We don’t know how big this place is or where the tower is located. Traveling together is too slow and makes us an easy target,” he continued.
“I suggest that we split up. It would be much more efficient. If someone finds the tower, they can communicate with the others.”
“But if we split up, what if we encounter those things again…” a woman interjected.
“Even if we stay together, we will still encounter them,” the man interrupted her.
“And besides, those things never appear directly. Apart from killing a few people each time, we have no way to deal with them. There is no difference between being together or apart.”
“Of course, the most important thing is that staying together is too inefficient. By the time we finish exploring this place, the treasure might have already been taken by the other three groups.”
“I agree to split up!” another man spoke up.
“If anyone finds the tower, let everyone know through sound transmission talismans. We can regroup after obtaining the treasure,” he suggested.
“I agree to split up!”
“I also agree to split up!”
“It’s more efficient to split up!”
Many of them voiced their agreement to split up.
“Since everyone believes that splitting up is more efficient, then let’s go our separate ways. Remember to use sound transmission talismans if anything happens!” Allyson Houston responded after some thought.
“You can form your own teams. Those who don’t want to split up can stay with me and my sister,” she continued.
“Alright!” everyone responded.
Soon after, groups of three to five people greeted Allyson Houston before dispersing in different directions. There were about twenty people who continued following Allyson Houston and Kaitlyn Houston.
Billy and Stout naturally didn’t stay behind. They had wanted to find an excuse to leave earlier.
“Mr. Stuart, aren’t you two coming with us?” Allyson Houston asked Billy, “This place isn’t as simple as it looks…”
“Thank you for your concern!” Billy smiled and interrupted her, “We don’t want to hold everyone back, and we’re used to being on our own.”
“Well then, I won’t insist. Take care!” Allyson Houston didn’t push further.
“Take care, Princess!” Billy nodded in response.
After speaking, he and Stout flew away.
“Boss, do you have a plan?” Stout asked Billy as they flew to an empty space hundreds of miles away.
“Just wait!” Billy said and then turned his consciousness into his sea of knowledge. “Purple Spirit, can you track the Tree Spirits?”
“I should be able to within a certain range,” Purple Spirit responded. “What do you plan to do, Billy?”
“Do they speak human language?” Billy continued asking.
“I’m not sure about that. It probably depends on their level of evolution,” Purple Spirit said.
“I see,” Billy pondered for a moment. “Take me to find one and ask.”
“Alright!” Purple Spirit replied. “You continue moving forward slowly while I try to sense their presence.”
“Okay!” Billy said and then withdrew his consciousness. He proceeded to explain the situation with the Tree Spirits to Stout.
“Purple Spirit is coming out?” Stout was surprised.
“Yes!” Billy confirmed and led Stout forward in flight.
As they walked, Billy released his Psychic Power to investigate their surroundings but found nothing except for some birds and animals.
After half an hour of walking, they arrived above a valley.
“Boss, has Purple Spirit found any Tree Spirits yet?” Stout turned his head and asked Billy.
“Be careful!” Before he could finish his sentence, Billy interrupted him.
At the same time, a blade aura flashed out from the forest on their left, tearing open a crack in space.
From just this one strike, it could be inferred that the attacker was at least at the half-step Heavenly Empyrean Realm.
Billy flicked his wrist and blocked the opponent’s attack with a blade aura. After a loud explosion, both attacks shattered simultaneously.
“No wonder you dared to enter this space. It turns out you have some skills!” a man’s voice sounded, followed by seven or eight people emerging from the forest.
From their insignias, it could be seen that they were from Heavenly Palace.
“Just two Entering Empyrean Realm cultivators? You dare to act alone? How audacious!” another man sneered at them.
“Just the two of you? Where is your so-called Young Palace Master?” Stout retorted.
“If you want to see our Young Palace Master, I’m afraid you won’t get the chance,” the man took a few steps forward before his tone turned serious. “Hand over your storage rings, and we might spare your lives…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Stout activated his Sky Armor and threw a punch.
“Seeking death!” The man frowned and raised his hand to block it with a palm strike.
After their attacks collided, they both retreated a hundred feet away from each other, evenly matched in strength.
Although the man was only at the first-rank Heavenly Empyrean Realm, he didn’t take Stout lightly. He had only used about seventy or eighty percent of his strength earlier, so he was evenly matched with Stout.
“I underestimated you!” The man paused for a moment before charging at Stout again. “I want to see how capable you really are…”
Before he could finish his sentence, he stopped abruptly. A character ‘Meteor’ appeared above his head.
Although he didn’t know what it was exactly, he had a vague feeling that it wasn’t good…
