The fourth-rank Breaking God Realm looked down at the bloodline on his body, his flesh split in two and fell from mid-air.
His soul had barely escaped a hundred feet when the Dark Puppet caught up, swallowed it whole, and then charged towards the battle circle of Azure Dragon and others.
At the same time, Purple Spirit flashed out from Billy’s body, targeting the positions of Ivy and Amber.
“Harleen, are you alright?” Billy flew to Harleen’s side and asked.
“I’m fine!” Harleen wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and shook her head. “What about the person from Heaven Alliance? Did you leave them to that girl?”
“Yes!” Billy smiled slightly. “Harleen, you rest for a bit, then go help Opal!”
As Billy finished speaking, he took out an Essence Core Pill, threw it into his mouth, and flew towards Ashlyn Dunlap.
“Billy, be careful!” Harleen called out as she headed towards Opal’s position.
“Where is Mr. Hill?” Ashlyn Dunlap asked as Billy approached.
A look of seriousness flashed across her face, and she felt an inexplicable sense of foreboding.
“I’ll send you to meet him soon,” Billy replied calmly.
“You killed him?” Ashlyn Dunlap frowned deeply.
Though it sounded absurd, seeing only Billy present made her think it was the only possibility. However, she couldn’t fathom how Billy could kill someone of that caliber. She knew the strength of the elder. Someone of that level couldn’t possibly die at the hands of a first-rank Entering God Realm.
“You have one last chance,” Billy said after a brief pause.
“You overestimate yourself!” Ashlyn Dunlap retreated swiftly as she spoke.
Simultaneously, hundreds of figures who had been guarding the rear launched their attacks, and the pressure in the void continued to rise.
Violent waves of energy surged towards Billy’s position.
Billy narrowed his eyes slightly, took out a bottle of soul water, poured it into his mouth, and dashed forward. He activated Skybinder and Death Realm, enveloping hundreds of people.
At first, there was little reaction from everyone. However, within a few blinks of an eye, those below Entering God Realm began to react. Most went berserk, launching attacks in all directions. Some with lower cultivation levels had their bodies corroded by Death Realm’s influence, with three or four dozen bodies disintegrating into nothingness. Even those at the early stages of Entering God Realm couldn’t hold out for long under the combined domain effects and began attacking indiscriminately.
In an instant, chaos erupted in the void, with bodies falling from mid-air continuously.
“You’ll die!” Ashlyn Dunlap shouted angrily from a distance.
As she spoke, a rapidly rotating vortex appeared in the void behind her, and a figure emerged from it. Standing about ten feet tall, surrounded by flickering lightning, the figure exuded an extremely eerie aura. It was composed entirely of various-sized skulls, all alive and emitting sinister breaths.
The skeletal figure let out a raspy sound and charged at Billy with a few strides. Wielding a pitch-black axe-shaped weapon, it tore open a rift in the void and slashed at Billy.
Billy didn’t engage head-on; he quickly dodged using Nether Wings. Even so, the aftermath of the energy wave sent him flying hundreds of feet away.
Though the skeletal figure appeared cumbersome, its teleportation speed was impressive. Just as Billy steadied himself, the second wave of attacks came.
Billy raised his hand and unleashed Slaughter Sky. After a loud explosion, the blade light shattered instantly, and Billy retreated swiftly again.
“Let’s see how long you can dodge!” Ashlyn Dunlap shouted.
A stronger mental force emanated from her forehead and entered the skeletal figure. The figure’s aura surged again, causing the void to tremble. The skulls dispersed like countless meteors crashing towards Billy, shattering the void inch by inch.
Billy had no time to dodge; all escape routes were blocked. He could only defend by attacking. He drew Sky Burial Blade and met the attack head-on. The blade light shattered the skulls one by one, creating black holes in mid-air filled with dark matter.
Ashlyn Dunlap had witnessed this blade’s power before, so she was on the alert. She moved almost simultaneously with Billy’s attack but was still sent flying thousands of feet away by the energy wave’s aftermath, spitting blood.
“Uh?” Ashlyn Dunlap’s pupils contracted sharply as she steadied herself.
In mid-air, Demon Spirit appeared with a scythe that flashed with a sharp cold light. Ashlyn Dunlap instinctively raised her hand to block but lost her remaining arm in the process. Blood sprayed as she was sent flying backward.
Demon Spirit continued its pursuit. Without arms, Ashlyn Dunlap was no match. In a few blinks of an eye, another cold light flashed across her body, causing her flesh to fall.
“You’ll die!” Ashlyn Dunlap’s soul screamed as she fled backward.
“Can you escape?” Billy’s eyes narrowed as Dark Puppet turned from its battle and chased after her.
Billy took another Essence Core Pill and flew towards Opal and Harleen’s battle circle. Opal and Harleen were jointly attacking a young man from Heaven Alliance; both sides were injured and evenly matched. With Billy’s addition, the man couldn’t last more than four or five rounds before Harleen pierced his heart with a sword, causing his body to fall from mid-air. His soul was also severely injured and tried to escape but was trapped in mid-air by a Void Prison formed by Billy.
“Opal, Harleen, go help Casey!” Billy instructed them.
After speaking, he re-entered Heavenly Xuan Space.
“Uh…” Billy’s mouth twitched at the sight before him.
The woman in green was drinking half a barrel of soul water while scattered pieces of flesh lay on the ground nearby-a gruesome scene. Poor Mr. Hill had been dismembered!
“Miss, are you alright?” Billy asked as he approached her.
“Who was that old guy? He had some skills but wore me out,” she replied.
Billy’s mouth twitched again. “He was from Heaven Alliance.”
“Heaven Alliance?” She paused. “I think I’ve heard that name before.”
“You’ll remember once your consciousness recovers,” Billy smiled. “What about his soul?”
“I ate it,” she responded.
“Ate it?” Billy choked. “Does refining souls help your consciousness?”
“It depends on the level,” she said. “It has to be at least Breaking God Realm or higher; otherwise, it’s useless.”
“Understood,” Billy nodded.
“Do you need my help fighting?” she asked again. “If not, don’t disturb me. Once I finish this soul water, I’ll go into seclusion for a while. If you bring anyone else here during that time, you’ll have to handle it yourself.”
“Understood,” Billy said with a slight bow. “Thank you.”
“Go on,” she waved him off.
Without another word, Billy left Heavenly Xuan Space…
