After a moment of spatial dizziness, Violet, Holden, and the others recovered.
They opened their curious eyes, taking in this new world.
Beneath their feet was dense grass, taller than a person. In the distance, towering mountains stretched endlessly, and above them, the sky was vast and clear.
“So this is the Southern Marches prairie. It does look a bit desolate,” Holden remarked.
“This world looks so big,” Violet giggled.
“Let’s go to the Azure Dragon Mountains. There, you can get the most direct experience of the spiritual cultivation world,” Leo said to everyone.
“Yes, Master!”
With that, Leo led the group across the Southern Marches prairie towards the Azure Dragon Mountains.
After flying for about ten minutes, a vast and majestic mountain range appeared in their view.
Even from a distance, the grandeur of the Azure Dragon Mountains was palpable.
Looking ahead, they saw dense forests with towering trees. Occasionally, giant birds and beasts would take flight. Deeper within, the roars of beasts could be heard.
“Master, is that the Azure Dragon Mountains?” Holden asked, his eyes narrowing.
The others were equally awed by the vastness of the mountains.
Leo nodded. “Yes, the Azure Dragon Mountains stretch across the entire Southern Marches region. The mountains are home to many beasts, many of which are valuable. Additionally, the mountains contain various rare Spirit Herbs and minerals.”
“Because of the rich resources in the Azure Dragon Mountains, many Cultivators come here daily to hunt beasts and search for Spirit Herbs and minerals.”
As they spoke, they landed on a giant tree at the outer edge of the Azure Dragon Mountains.
From the tree, they had a clear view of the outermost area of the mountains.
At this time, Violet and the others saw hundreds of people on the grassland below.
Some were in small groups, appearing to be teams, while others were alone. Occasionally, someone would fly in from the sky or arrive on a beast mount.
“Leo, why don’t those Cultivators just fly in directly?” Violet asked, puzzled.
Leo explained, “The Azure Dragon Mountains are home to many beasts with strong territorial instincts. If a flying beast or human Cultivator enters their airspace, they might be attacked by a group of beasts. It’s very troublesome.”
“Also, human Cultivators flying in the air can easily become targets for many beasts. So generally, Cultivators enter the Azure Dragon Mountains by flying low or riding beast mounts.”
After hearing Leo’s explanation, everyone understood.
“Leo, are they recruiting people?” Violet asked, looking at the groups of Cultivators on the grassland.
Some teams were growing as new members joined.
“Yes, they are likely adventurers. Some have fixed teams, while others recruit temporarily. Temporary teams usually disband after achieving their goals.”
“The reason for forming teams is that some Cultivators find treasures but lack the strength to secure them alone or with their team, so they recruit others.”
Leo looked at his group and continued, “In a moment, pair up and enter the Azure Dragon Mountains for training. You can choose to team up with these adventurers or go in alone to hunt beasts.”
“Before entering the mountains, there are two things to note.”
“First, this place is not like Earth. Especially those who frequently enter the Azure Dragon Mountains have survived through bloodshed and killing. Don’t trust others easily; always be cautious.”
“Second, besides adventurers, there are hunters in the Azure Dragon Mountains. Hunters specifically target adventurers to take their Storage Sacks. Be especially wary of them.”
After hearing Leo’s advice, everyone nodded solemnly.
The law of the jungle in this world was even more brutal than on Earth.
Seeing his words had made them tense, Leo smiled and said, “The Cultivator’s World is harsh but also fascinating. Opportunities, treasures, rare items, powerful abilities, and much longer lifespans than ordinary people.”
Leo took out seven Spirit Scrolls from his Storage Sack and said, “Each of you take one. If you encounter danger, crush it, and I’ll come to you.”
After receiving the Spirit Scrolls, Leo gave the order: “Now form your teams and set off.”
Holden paired with Aimee, Jennifer with Christian, Serene with Ellis, and Violet with Leo.
“Meet back here by sunset,” Leo said finally.
Holden and the others were eager to start. As soon as Leo finished speaking, they disappeared from the tree.
Only Leo and Violet remained on the tree.
“Leo, should we go directly into the mountains or team up with those adventurers?” Violet asked.
Leo thought for a moment and said, “Let’s team up with those adventurers.”
“Alright, let’s go then,” Violet agreed.
“Wait a moment; let me change my appearance.”
After his battles on Life and Death Platform against Anton and in the outskirts against Water and Fire Dual Heroes and Elder Bloodmoon-three Spirit Saint realm experts-Leo had drawn considerable attention from Cultivators.
Having crippled Anton and severely injured Elder Bloodmoon, Bloodsoul Sect would surely hunt him down. It wasn’t time to confront Bloodsoul Sect head-on yet.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, it was best to disguise himself.
Leo took out a blue cloth strip from his Storage Sack. The strip was made from Ice Spirit Green Silk and could completely block spiritual senses.
He tied it diagonally over his right eye, leaving only his left eye visible, making himself look like a one-eyed dragon.
Additionally, he used bone-shrinking techniques to alter his facial features slightly.
“Giggle… Leo, why did you make yourself look like a one-eyed dragon?” Violet laughed at Leo’s appearance.
“How do I look? Isn’t it imposing? I saw some hunters dressed like this when I entered Azure Dragon Mountains before,” Leo chuckled.
Violet stuck out her tongue. “It’s ugly!”
Leo laughed heartily. “Let’s go find an adventurer team.”
The two flashed down from the tree and walked towards where most Cultivators were gathered.
“Recruiting! Recruiting! Looking for two Spirit General-level Cultivators specializing in fire techniques.”
“Same here! Recruiting two Spirit Venerable-level Cultivators. Generous rewards; each participant will receive three Primordial Spirit Pills upon completing the task.”
As they approached, they heard many Cultivators shouting for recruits.
“Leo, why do some mention rewards while others don’t?” Violet asked curiously.
