“Lord Marquis, on the Life and Death Platform, my son had already conceded. That little wretch was ruthless enough to cripple my son’s cultivation. I, Jameson, ask for nothing but for Lord Marquis to hand him over to our Golden Family for punishment. Otherwise, our Golden Family will not let this matter rest!” Jameson said to Alejandro Gray in a deep voice.
“Mr. Golden, I am not blind. Not only did I see what happened, but many cultivators present also witnessed it. Your son Anton’s cultivation was crippled due to his own actions,” Alejandro Gray replied with dissatisfaction.
Jameson’s face turned grim. “I want to remind Lord Marquis that my son Anton has been chosen by the Bloodsoul Sect’s elder to be his last disciple. Now that such a mishap has occurred, the Bloodsoul Sect will not let this matter rest either.”
“Mr. Golden, are you threatening me with the Bloodsoul Sect?” Alejandro Gray’s displeasure grew, and the powerful aura of a mid-stage Spirit Saint erupted from him.
The pressure from a mid-stage Spirit Saint was far beyond what Jameson, a lower-tier Spirit Saint, could withstand.
Under the absolute pressure of strength, Jameson had no choice but to relent. “Lord Marquis, I meant no offense. It’s just difficult to explain to the Bloodsoul Sect.”
“Mr. Golden, I said that today’s matter ends here. You can kill whoever you want, just not here,” Alejandro Gray said in a deep voice, not wanting to escalate the conflict.
Jameson’s face showed hesitation and reluctance. He knew Alejandro Gray had given him an out, meaning he could attack Leo elsewhere.
“You little wretch, cripple your own cultivation now, and this matter will be over. Otherwise, our Golden Family will surely kill you!” Jameson turned his gaze to Leo and said coldly.
Leo’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Ha, who do you think you are to make me cripple my own cultivation?”
Hearing Leo’s sneer, Jameson’s rugged face twisted in anger.
As the head of the Golden Family and a Spirit Saint, no one had ever dared speak to him in such a manner.
Furious, Jameson raised his right hand, ready to attack Leo regardless of the consequences.
Izaiah quickly used a secret technique to communicate with Jameson, trying to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control. “Master, let’s retreat for now. Alejandro Gray is just saving face. We should give him that.”
“That little wretch can’t stay in the Watts family forever. Once he leaves Zratol, he’s dead. Even if he stays with the Watts family, we can still destroy them along with him.”
Hearing Izaiah’s words, Jameson’s eyes flickered with light, and his anger subsided temporarily.
“This isn’t over, you little wretch. Let’s go!” Jameson angrily threw out a parting remark and disappeared from the sky above the Life and Death Platform.
Seeing Jameson leave, the members of the Golden Family also turned into streaks of light and followed him.
“Thank you, Lord Marquis, for upholding justice,” Wade said to Alejandro Gray with a bow.
Alejandro Gray nodded and looked deeply at Leo.
He had been observing Leo’s demeanor and actions closely and saw that Leo showed no fear in front of Spirit Saint Jameson. His composure was truly remarkable.
After the Golden Family left, most cultivators left disappointed as there was no more drama to watch. A few went excitedly to the betting platform.
The events of today would undoubtedly spread quickly throughout Zratol.
Anton’s name would soon be replaced by Leo’s.
Leo and the Watts family members also went to the betting platform. He had bet one hundred thousand Low-Quality Spirit Stones and was eager to collect his winnings.
“Haha, Leo, we’re rich,” Arthur said happily, holding a Storage Sack.
He had bet twenty thousand Low-Quality Spirit Stones and now had one hundred sixty thousand.
Amber was also happy. She had bet thirty thousand Spirit Stones and now had two hundred forty thousand.
Wade held a Storage Sack as well. He had bet one hundred thousand Spirit Stones and now had eight hundred thousand.
“Leo, you fought hard in this battle and even got entangled with the Golden Family because of us. Please accept these Spirit Stones as a token of our gratitude,” Wade said, handing the Storage Sack to Leo.
Leo hesitated briefly but then accepted it without ceremony.
It was only right to allow others to show their gratitude when they had received great help.
Amber also handed her Storage Sack to Leo. “Leo, take mine too. Thank you for fighting for me and indirectly saving my sister Lyric and Elder Jaidyn.”
Leo waved his Storage Sack with a smile. “Do I look like I need more Spirit Stones? Your father has already thanked me; keep yours for your own cultivation.”
“Leo, I owe you another favor,” Amber said with some embarrassment as she took back her Spirit Stones.
“Leo, you’ve crippled Anton’s cultivation. The Golden Family won’t let this go easily,” Arthur said worriedly.
Leo laughed confidently. “Let them come. If the Golden Family doesn’t know what’s good for them, I won’t mind erasing them from Zratol.”
Leo’s confidence and boldness moved Wade. He couldn’t help but ask, “Leo, have you sensed the opportunity for Thunder Tribulation?”
Breaking through from the Spirit King realm to the Spirit Saint realm required sensing the impending Thunder Tribulation; Wade knew this well.
“I have sensed it. The breakthrough should happen within a day or two,” Leo replied honestly.
Leo’s affirmation left Wade, Ramon Watts, Elder Catalina, and others in awe.
“Leo, your talent is extraordinary. Compared to you, we feel ashamed,” Elder Catalina sighed.
Many people spent their entire lives unable to sense Thunder Tribulation and break through to Spirit Saint due to their limited lifespan.
Yet here was this young man, seemingly not even thirty years old, already sensing Thunder Tribulation and on the verge of breaking through to Spirit Saint.
It was truly astonishing.
Wade also felt emotional. He wasn’t untalented himself but had only reached his current level at over fifty years old. Without Leo’s Ascension Pill, he didn’t know when he would have broken through to Spirit Saint.
“Leo, in my opinion, your talent is no less than Seraphina of Falling Blossom Palace. You might become the second young person within thousands of miles of Zratol to break through to Spirit Saint,” Ramon Watts praised.
Arthur chimed in with envy. “Three months ago, Seraphina of Falling Blossom Palace passed her Thunder Tribulation and broke through to lower-tier Spirit Saint, causing quite a stir. Leo is just as impressive.”
“The world is vast and full of extraordinary talents. We must work even harder to reach higher realms,” Leo said humbly.
He didn’t feel proud; instead, he thought his progress was still too slow because he was eager to find Sophia.
“Leo is right,” Arthur agreed with a nod.
