Chapter 1855: Alchemy Teaching

Dakota Hubbard knew that Rudy Golden’s miserable state was certainly caused by Arthur, but adhering to the principle of avoiding unnecessary trouble, he shouted with a stern face, “Disperse, retreat!”
Dakota Hubbard ignored Rudy Golden, who was writhing in pain on the ground, and led the Gold Guard away in neat steps.
“Mr. Golden, enjoy yourself slowly. I shall take my leave now.”
Arthur cupped his hands towards Rudy Golden and was about to leave when he suddenly remembered something.
Arthur chuckled, took out a crystal ball from his Storage Sack, and walked up to Rudy Golden.
Seeing the crystal ball in Arthur’s hand, Rudy Golden’s face changed drastically.
“Such a precious moment should naturally be preserved as a memento.” Arthur infused a trace of spiritual power into the crystal ball, which immediately emitted a glow that enveloped Rudy Golden, capturing this wonderful moment.
“You… you… ahh…!” Rudy Golden’s eyes turned red as he stared at Arthur, managing to utter two “you” before his words were replaced by cries of pain.
At this moment, he really wanted to kill this damned fat man.
What a great humiliation, an unprecedented disgrace. When had he, Mr. Golden, ever suffered such indignity?
“Haha, it’s recorded. Farewell, Mr. Golden.” Arthur retrieved the crystal ball and returned to Leo’s side. “Leo, let’s go.”
After Arthur and Leo left, the four attendants finally recovered and hurried over to help Rudy Golden.
“Be… be… careful… damn it!” Rudy Golden finally managed to speak in a stuttering manner.
“Arthur! Just you wait. Sooner or later, my Golden family will swallow the Watts family, and then I’ll treat you like a dog!” Rudy Golden vowed through gritted teeth as he watched Arthur leave with venomous eyes.
After Rudy Golden left with the help of his attendants, the onlooking Cultivators also dispersed.
As for the dead Inferno Unicorn Lion lying on the ground, naturally, someone from the Golden family would come to collect its corpse.
On the way back, Arthur was very excited and happy.
“Haha, Leo, today was so satisfying. It felt great!”
“Arthur’s performance today was indeed impressive,” Leo nodded.
“The reason for this is thanks to you, Leo. If I hadn’t consumed the Medicinal Feast you prepared yesterday, who knows when I would have broken through to the Spirit Venerable realm.”
“If I hadn’t broken through to the Spirit Venerable realm, I wouldn’t have been able to teach Rudy Golden a lesson today.”
Arthur said gratefully.
As they talked, they soon arrived at the gates of Watts Mansion.
After entering Watts Mansion, Leo said, “Arthur, take me to your family’s Alchemy Hall.”
“No problem. Today is Master Conway’s teaching day; there should be quite a few people in the Alchemy Hall,” Arthur nodded.
The Watts family’s Alchemy Hall was located on the east side of Watts Mansion, opposite the Moon Lake on the west side.
Under Arthur’s guidance, they quickly arrived outside the Alchemy Hall.
One of the important sources of income for the Watts family was selling elixirs, so their Alchemy Hall was built very large.
The Alchemy Hall was constructed entirely of white jade stone, resembling a small palace.
Above the main entrance, a plaque bore the three bold characters “Alchemy Hall,” exuding grandeur.
Arthur led Leo into the Alchemy Hall.
The main hall inside was magnificent. On both sides were rows of alchemy furnaces spaced several meters apart, with stone platforms beside them for placing Spirit Herbs.
Leo roughly counted; there were at least a hundred alchemy furnaces on both sides of the hall.
In Awakened Continent, spiritual weapon-grade alchemy furnaces were not common and not everyone could own one.
Generally, alchemist apprentices or first and second-grade alchemists used these heavier stone jade alchemy furnaces found in the hall.
The entire hall was supported by white jade stone pillars, each carved with images of alchemy furnaces emitting wisps of smoke.
As soon as Leo entered the hall, he smelled a faint fragrance that made him feel clear-headed and peaceful.
This fragrance was called Clarity Incense and had calming effects.
“Yesterday, I taught you about the steps and properties involved in refining Great Return Pills. Today, I will personally demonstrate how to refine them.”
A clear voice echoed in the hall.
Leo then noticed a group of people sitting in one corner of the hall.
“Leo, Master Conway is already teaching. Let’s find a place to sit,” Arthur whispered to Leo.
Leo followed Arthur towards the seated group quickly.
As they approached, they saw over a hundred mats laid out in front, most of them occupied by people sitting upright.
Among those listening attentively, Leo spotted Amber Watts and Jon Conway.
In the center of the mats was a wide white jade platform.
On the platform sat an elderly man in light green robes with a slightly thin face and rosy complexion, resembling Jon Conway somewhat.
In front of the elder was a half-human tall bronze alchemy furnace with strange patterns engraved on its surface.
Leo scanned it with his spiritual sense and knew it was a mid-grade spiritual weapon.
Beside the furnace was a white jade herb table holding over a dozen Spirit Herbs.
“Leo, let’s sit down,” Arthur pointed to some empty mats and whispered.
Leo nodded and sat down with Arthur on the outermost mats.
“To refine Great Return Pills, fifteen types of Spirit Herbs are needed: four third-grade Spirit Herbs and eleven second-grade Spirit Herbs.”
The elder on the central platform began his lecture.
“The four third-grade Spirit Herbs are Spiritfruit, Icebloom, Serpent’s Tongue, and White Wonderbloom.”
As he spoke, he waved his sleeve and four Spirit Herbs floated from the herb table into view for everyone to see.
“The eleven second-grade Spirit Herbs are Lifebloom, Purple Earthroot, Pulsevine, Cranebill, Vitality Herb…”
He continued to display each of the eleven second-grade Spirit Herbs one by one.
Arthur transmitted his voice to Leo secretly. “Leo, this is our family’s elder Keith Conway. He is Jon Conway’s father and a third-grade high-level alchemist.”
“The first ten people in front are also our family’s alchemists. Amber and Jon Conway are third-grade low-level alchemists.”
As Arthur spoke, Leo observed quietly.
“The others are first and second-grade alchemists or alchemist apprentices.”
“The first step is to preheat the furnace!”
Keith’s voice echoed again as he opened the furnace lid and flicked a yellow flame into it.
“The second step is to extract essences!”
Keith waved his sleeve again as each Spirit Herb flew into the furnace one by one.
Once all the Spirit Herbs were inside, Keith enveloped the entire furnace with his spiritual sense.
