Ayan came out of the hotel and got into the car directly.
He checked the time on his watch and said lightly, “Let’s go straight to the airport.”
Kian nodded.
Ayan was eager to go home now and didn’t want to bother with anything else.
He didn’t tell Camille when he would return to Hance City, but he arrived right at the end of her workday, downstairs at her office.
Instead of getting out of the car, he sat inside and waited.
Camille finished her work and came downstairs. She immediately spotted his car and ran towards it with excitement, ignoring everything else.
Later, Sienna showed her the recorded video and whispered, “You’re like a love-struck little girl. I can’t bear to watch anymore…”
Camille rushed towards the car, and Ayan got out of the car. He quickly said, “Why did you run so fast? I’m not going anywhere. I’m waiting for you here!”
Camille gave him a hug and pulled him into the car.
Because they were still keeping their relationship a secret, they couldn’t let too many people know, especially since there was someone in the project team who had a strained relationship with her.
After getting in the car, Camille couldn’t wait to ask, “Why didn’t you tell me when you were coming back? I could have picked you up!”
“Didn’t you say yesterday that you didn’t miss me?”
“Oh, I was afraid that if I said that, you would drop everything and come back.” Camille smiled and took his hand, whispering, “Do you miss me?”
“I do.” He raised his hand and gently stroked her hair. His voice was low and husky as he said, “Let’s go eat first. We’ll go back to the Simpson’s mansion tonight and see Timothy and my mom.”
“Okay.” Camille fastened her seatbelt, and then Ayan drove away.
As their cars disappeared into the distance, Jennie, who had watched everything, walked towards Mario’s office.
“Wasn’t Ayan supposed to have a bad relationship with Camille? How come he came to pick her up personally?” she asked.
“They are husband and wife. It’s not for us to judge their relationship.” Mario reminded her indifferently, “Pay attention to your boundaries. You’re here for work, not gossip.”
“Mario!” Jennie was annoyed for a moment but immediately shut up under Mario’s gaze.
Jennie felt resentful and became very irritable. She said, “Camille is just relying on Ayan. If Ayan doesn’t like her anymore, she means nothing.”
“The key is that Ayan likes her now, and they have a child together. Even if there are rumors about their relationship being bad, is that really the case? You better not act foolishly. If you don’t listen to me, then I don’t think you need to stay here anymore. Just go abroad!”
If it weren’t for his uncle begging him, he wouldn’t have agreed to let her work here.
After Mario warned Jennie sternly, she immediately fell silent. She naturally didn’t want to go abroad.
Going abroad was like exile.
Mario didn’t want to say more. He said indifferently, “Leave!”
Jennie stomped her foot and left.
…
In the evening, after having dinner with Camille, Ayan returned to the Simpson’s mansion.
On his business trip, Ayan bought Timothy some gifts-his favorite cars and airplanes.
The two-year-old boy already loved these toys very much. He couldn’t get enough of them. He hugged Ayan affectionately and said, “Daddy, I love you the most. I will make lots of money for you in the future so that you can buy whatever you want.”
Ayan laughed at his words and hugged Timothy tightly as he asked in a low voice, “Really?”
“Really! Daddy, I don’t lie. Grandma says children shouldn’t lie or deceive people.”
“Be careful, Timothy. If children make empty promises, they’ll get spanked,” Camille interjected as she took over the conversation with a calm tone.
Timothy’s face turned serious as he pondered over her words. He seemed to genuinely believe what she said and became solemn.
Camille chuckled at his serious expression.
Seeing him so serious made everyone wonder if he was reconsidering his promise.
Just as they were about to comfort him, he suddenly spoke up again, “Mommy, I think what you said makes sense. So I can’t take my promise to Daddy seriously for now. I’ll promise you when I grow up.”
His words sounded just like an adult’s, shocking both Camille and Ayan.
But Talia was already used to it. Talia said proudly, “You guys haven’t seen how mature Timothy is now. He’s such a sensible child.”
Talia started praising her grandson excessively.
Timothy sat up straight proudly and looked at Talia. “Grandma, I still need to continue working hard.”
After saying that, Timothy didn’t want to participate in the adults’ conversation anymore. He couldn’t wait to play with his toys.
He was extremely joyful and happy.
Talia looked at Timothy and said gratefully to Camille, “Camille, thanks to you, I can finally experience what it feels like to be a mother again. When Ayan was young, he was too serious and not cute at all. He only played with his grandfather and ignored us. He always felt that my actions were too childish.”
After Aria was born, it wasn’t much better either. Aria liked things that boys liked from a young age.
Although she was considerate enough, her eyes were only on work.
Since childhood, she focused on grades. She excelled academically, even better than Ayan did.
When she grew up, she focused solely on work without caring about them at all.
The more Talia took care of Timothy, the more she realized how thoughtful he was, occasionally showing a playful side. This is how a child should be.
As Talia spoke with emotions in her eyes, “The only regret is that it would be even better if Timothy were a girl.”
“Stop!” Ayan immediately interrupted, “I don’t want another child, so don’t even think about it.”
Talia snorted lightly. She glanced at Ayan indifferently before saying, “I’m not asking you to have one.”
Camille smiled, “Talia, do you really like girls that much?”
“Compared to disobedient boys, at least well-behaved girls won’t keep me angry all day!” With that, Talia glanced at Ayan meaningfully-clearly expressing her displeasure towards Ayan.
Ayan smiled helplessly. He handed Talia some fruit with warmth. “Alright then, let me make it up to you.”
“Hmph! I don’t want to talk to you!”
“Then should I leave?”
“You can leave. Don’t disturb my chat with Camille. We want to have some heart-to-heart talk without your presence bothering us.”
Who would have thought that Mr. Simpson would be chased away by his own mother in his own home?
Ayan shook his head helplessly and then looked at Camille tenderly. “Then you chat with Mom while I go upstairs to take a shower.”
Ayan told Talia that he would stay overnight tonight. Talia happily took Camille upstairs into her room.
Talia told Camille, “I’ve bought so many dresses recently. Hurry up and pick a few for yourself to take back home.”
Talia had recently fallen in love with dresses together with Madison. She even found an experienced tailor specifically for custom-made dresses. Whether it was embroidery or quality-they were all top-notch. Many of them were unique custom designs.
Talia selected several dresses for Camille that suited her figure perfectly.
Talia said affectionately, “Ayan owes me big time for this. If he wasn’t my son… I would’ve tried stealing you away from him and introducing you to someone better.”
