“Boss, Chris is here!”
“Good!” Tony’s face lit up with excitement at the news. “Send the Four Old Boys to take care of Chris immediately!”
“Yes!”
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Just as Chris arrived at the warehouse entrance, four figures suddenly appeared, blocking his path.
These were none other than Tony’s infamous Four Old Boys. Each of them exuded an imposing aura, all at the level of Great Grandmaster.
The Four Old Boys swiftly moved in, surrounding Chris completely.
Chris glanced at them with a faint, disdainful smirk.
“Just four Great Grandmasters? You think you can stop me? Pathetic.”
Without another word, Chris charged straight at them.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of deafening crashes echoed through the air.
In mere moments, the Four Old Boys lay lifeless on the ground, their eyes wide open in disbelief.
Even in death, they couldn’t comprehend the sheer power Chris had displayed. They hadn’t even managed a single move against him.
With one punch each, Chris had eliminated them all.
“Boss, bad news! Chris killed the Four Old Boys!”
“What?!”
Tony’s face was filled with shock when he heard the report.
The Four Old Boys were his strongest enforcers, each a Great Grandmaster. How could Chris, a nobody brought back by Lindsay, possess such overwhelming strength?
Bang!
Before Tony could process what was happening, the warehouse doors were kicked open with a thunderous crash.
A towering figure stepped inside.
The sheer presence of this man, as immovable and imposing as a mountain, sent a wave of pressure crashing down on Tony.
Squinting, Tony asked, “So, you’re Chris?”
Chris ignored him, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Lindsay, bound hand and foot in the corner.
At the sight of her, Chris’s expression darkened.
In a low, menacing voice, he said, “You all deserve to die.”
With that, Chris charged forward like a lightning bolt.
“Stop him! Stop him now!” Tony shouted in terror, his face pale.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Hundreds of underlings drew their steel blades and rushed at Chris, their shouts echoing through the warehouse.
“Kill him!”
“Kill him!”
“Kill him!”
The air was filled with the sound of battle cries.
But to Chris, these men were nothing more than ants.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Within moments, the ground was littered with bodies.
Every one of Tony’s men lay motionless, utterly defeated.
Tony stood frozen, his face a mask of disbelief.
He never imagined things would turn out like this.
What he had assumed to be a harmless pretty boy had turned out to be a ferocious tiger.
Chris turned his icy gaze to Tony and said coldly, “Now it’s your turn.”
“Stay away! Don’t come any closer! If you do, I’ll shoot you!”
Tony pulled out a gun from his waistband, his voice trembling with fear.
Chris snorted dismissively and charged forward, unfazed by the weapon.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Tony fired several shots, but Chris effortlessly dodged every single one.
“This… this isn’t possible,” Tony stammered, his mind blank with shock.
Before Tony could react further, Chris was upon him.
With a swift motion, Chris grabbed Tony by the throat, his grip like steel.
“Spare me! Please, spare me…” Tony begged, his voice trembling, his eyes filled with regret.
If only he hadn’t succumbed to greed and gone after Emily’s money. If only he hadn’t provoked a monster like Chris.
Crack!
Chris didn’t say a word. He twisted Tony’s neck, ending his life in an instant.
Bang!
He tossed Tony’s lifeless body onto the ground as if discarding trash.
Afterward, Chris walked over to Lindsay and untied her bonds.
“Mr. Shelby, thank you!”
Lindsay, overwhelmed with relief, threw herself into Chris’s arms.
Chris patted her back gently and said, “It’s okay now. You’re safe.”
Lindsay pulled away, her face flushed with embarrassment. She had been too emotional to control herself.
Glancing at Tony’s corpse, she frowned and asked, “Mr. Shelby, you killed him just like that? Don’t you want to know who’s behind all this?”
Chris replied calmly, “There’s no need. I already know it’s Emily.”
“What? Emily?”
Lindsay’s face filled with shock at the revelation.
Gritting her teeth, she said angrily, “That Emily is so ruthless. She doesn’t care about family ties and keeps trying to kill me!”
“Let’s go home,” Chris said indifferently.
To him, Emily’s schemes were nothing more than a joke. No matter what tricks she played, they were meaningless in the face of his strength.

Meanwhile, in Middleton, at the Vance family estate…
“Grandfather, where is Chris?”
“Mr. Vance, where is my husband? Please, I beg you, tell me!”
Esther and Candace, having waited too long without news of Chris, pleaded desperately with Caspian for answers.
Looking at the two women, Caspian sighed deeply.
“Fine. I know you won’t give up unless I tell you. Chris is in Riverton!”
“What? Chris is in Riverton?”
Both Esther and Candace were stunned.
They hadn’t expected Chris to be in Riverton, which explained why there had been no news of him.
Caspian glanced at Esther and added, “Chris is at your good friend Lindsay’s house.”
“Lindsay?”
Esther was even more surprised.
Why was Chris at Lindsay’s house? What was he doing there?
After a moment of thought, Esther’s expression hardened with determination.
“No matter what, I’m going to Riverton to find Chris!”
Candace chimed in, “I’m going too!”
Esther turned to Candace, surprised by her insistence.
Over time, Esther had realized that Candace still hadn’t given up on Chris.
But Chris was her husband. How could love be shared between two women? This left Esther feeling conflicted.
She wanted to dissuade Candace, but guilt held her back. After all, Candace had been injured saving Chris.
Esther was at a loss for what to do.
In the end, she decided to leave it to fate.
Without hesitation, Esther and Candace booked plane tickets to Riverton.
