“Sure.” Agnes smiled sweetly, her voice incredibly gentle. “We’re about to return home, and it’s rare for us to come out like this. If you have the time, I would be honored.”
“Don’t worry, I have time.” Tom reached out to stroke her forehead and gently brushed her hair aside. Her skin was so smooth.
“So…” Agnes’s smile was as sweet as honey, her voice soft and tender. “Should we get up now?”
“Do you want to sleep a bit longer?” Tom’s gentle smile made him even more charming.
He wasn’t in the habit of lingering in bed, but he didn’t want to disturb her.
Thinking of how worried Bubu was last night, Tom felt a surge of gratitude and guilt, deepening his love for her even more. Being cared for felt wonderful.
The two got up together, changed clothes, and went to wash up. In the bathroom, Tom thoughtfully squeezed toothpaste onto her toothbrush.
“Thank you.” The girl felt incredibly sweet inside, surrounded by happiness that often felt unreal. She was actually with the man she loved.
While brushing their teeth together, they couldn’t help but laugh as they looked at each other in the mirror.
Both had a bit of bedhead and their hair was slightly messy, but their good looks remained unaffected.
Agnes felt they both looked particularly good today and couldn’t resist taking a selfie in the mirror while they brushed their teeth.
Tom didn’t mind at all; instead, he cooperated by striking various poses, making him quite adorable.
In the past, Jane had always struggled to take a photo of her son because he resisted so much. Perhaps this was the power of love-making someone feel young at heart and willing to change for their partner.
After washing up, Mrs. Brown had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast for them with porridge, red bean cakes, hot milk, and boiled eggs-a nutritious and hearty meal.
However, after preparing everything, Mrs. Brown found an excuse to leave again.
Agnes was used to Mrs. Brown’s behavior; she wanted to give them more time alone.
After having breakfast with Tom and getting ready, they set off for a day out-something Agnes eagerly anticipated.
They held hands tightly like a couple in love, making even the air around them feel sweet.
Standing atop Hoover Tower, they looked out over Stanford University with the wind blowing around them. On the expansive lawn below the tower, Tom took photos of her.
Agnes was no longer as reserved as before; she posed willingly for various shots.
Tom took her to a nearby art gallery where they admired Picasso’s later works together. They visited an elegant dessert shop and dined at a high-end seafood restaurant. Happy times always passed quickly.
The sky was very blue today. Tom became a professional photographer for the day, capturing these beautiful moments with his camera.
Like other couples on the street, they basked in happiness with smiles on their faces and only each other in their eyes.
Tom often reflected on how grateful he was not to have missed this opportunity.
When they returned to the apartment, it was already eight o’clock in the evening. Having eaten dinner outside before coming back, they had walked over ten thousand steps and their legs were a bit sore, but their hearts weren’t tired at all. The excitement and joy still enveloped them; it had been a fulfilling day.
Being in love turned out to be such a wonderful thing.
That night was their last night in the apartment because they were leaving for Arkpool City tomorrow.
After taking a bath, Agnes lay obediently in Tom’s arms and couldn’t help but gently wrap her arms around his waist like a kitten snuggling into his embrace.
She felt reluctant… Once home, she wouldn’t be able to be this close to him anymore. She didn’t want to leave him.
Tom also held her close; neither spoke to break the silence. At that moment, their feelings were quite similar-a faint sadness of parting began to spread through the air…
