Reiner – Baby-making Trip

“Are you even ovulating these coming days?” Reiner asked, surprisingly seriously.
Now that he mentioned it…
“Umm…” I murmured.
“I take it that you don’t even know that…” Reiner said before heaving a sigh.
“We can keep trying until the baby arrives, right? This is just our first trip…” I replied with a smile.
“So, there’s supposed to be more…” Reiner muttered softly but I caught every word that he said.
“We both worked so hard and we’re freer these days. Going on more trips should be great, right? Maybe we won’t get to travel together as much when we have a baby…” I said in a sweet voice before I continued smiling at him.
I looked forward to our trip so much that I spent some time each night packing our bags. Reiner watched me with an amused look on his face almost every evening as I packed and then repacked our bags over and over again.

The start of our trip finally arrived, and I woke up bright and early in excitement. It seemed like no matter how early I woke up; I couldn’t beat Reiner at waking up early in the morning. Reiner was already up and in the kitchen by the time that I made my way down while still in my pajamas.
“Good morning, Natalia,” Reiner greeted me.
“R…good morning. Let’s hurry and head out…” I said before taking my usual seat at the table.
“Eat your breakfast first. There’s no need to rush,” Reiner said a little sternly, but I didn’t miss the slight amusement in his tone.
He must have found my eagerness funny. I ate my breakfast so fast that I almost choked on the food. Reiner just laughed at my plight while he patted my back to help me swallow my food properly.
“This is exactly why I told you not to rush things…” Reiner said with a chuckle.
“Let’s head out soon…” I repeated adamantly.
“You’re not even dressed…” Reiner pointed out.
I hated how he seemed to be right at every single thing.
The resort that I picked out based on Queen’s recommendation was on a hill out of the city which meant that it was almost a two-hour drive from where we were. I was too excited throughout the entire drive there while Reiner just found my enthusiasm funny.
“Today is such a perfect day for a date,” I commented as I looked out the window of the car.
“You’re right. Hope this weather holds up for the entire week,” Reiner replied.
“That’s right because this trip is going to last the whole week!” I cried out with excitement.
One whole week alone with Reiner on a baby-making trip is going to be awesome. Unlike our honeymoon, we won’t be disturbed by the task of saving an orphanage from ruin either. Suddenly, the future seemed so bright and hopeful.
The resort was everything that I could ever dream of for a private and romantic getaway. It was located on top of a hill that was quite challenging to drive up, but to compensate for that, the place was truly private. The owner seemed to be a friend of Queen’s who rented out the whole place to guests like us so that we could enjoy a private getaway. There were a few staffs that would be there to support us if we needed but apart from that we had the place to ourselves.
The place resembled a medieval castle of sorts and had a very mysterious vibe that I found to be very attractive. Reiner seemed impress with the place as well although he wasn’t the type of voice his thoughts so much. Thankfully, Reiner wasn’t a picky person at all. It was quite scary how easy going he was with everything. Two friendly staff were there to greet us and take us on a tour of the place and facilities so that we knew how to get around and use everything.
“We really recommend this trial to trek around the property in the mountain if you’re into that. The view during the sunrise and sunset is really worth it,” one of the staff recommended as she took out a rough illustrative map of the area.
“Apart from that there are many facilities that you can enjoy. The outdoor hot bath is a favorite for many of our visitors and so is the outdoor camping ground. If you’re into camping or want the experience of sleeping outdoor for the night, then this would be great for you,” the other staff chimed in with her own recommendation.
As someone who had a phobia of the forests in the past, I wasn’t absolutely keen on some of the choices but the look of interest on Reiner’s face told me that we’ll definitely end up in the forest for one thing or another for sure. Facing your fears is definitely a way to get over it.
We thanked the staff politely and then they took their leave. Finally, we were left alone to enjoy each other’s company. The living room had such a comfortable looking sofa set that I couldn’t help but jump on it. A sigh escaped my lips as I began stretching lazily on the sofa. I watched Reiner put our things away while I thought about what we should do for the day.
“R…what do you want to do for today?” I asked sweetly.
“Anything is fine,” he replied without even bothering to think about it.
Even if that was true, it would be great if I could get his input.
“The staff mentioned the trek…do you want to go?” I asked with a knowing smile.
“I don’t think it’s really a trek. More like a stroll or a walk through a path in the forest. If you don’t want to go, we don’t have to…” Reiner replied.
Isn’t that like saying that we should go, or I’ll die from the guilt?
“I want to! Let’s go!” I cried out enthusiastically as I jumped up from the sofa onto my feet.
