The next day, Aurora was summoned to Miss Catherine’s office. She walked in, her head held high, ready to face whatever new torment awaited her. But instead of the cold, cruel woman she had come to expect, she found Damian sitting behind the desk, his eyes on her. He looked up as she entered, his gaze raking over her body in a way that made her skin crawl. “Ah, my new pet,” he said, a smug smile playing on his lips. “How was your first night?”
Aurora’s eyes narrowed, and she gave him a cold look, her heart racing with anger. She didn’t reply to his question, instead choosing to stand there in stoic silence.
Damian leaned back in his chair, his smirk growing wider as he studied her. “You’re more stubborn than you look,” he said, his voice a low rumble that seemed to echo through the room. “But that won’t do you any good here. In this house, you’re mine to do with as I please. You’ll learn to obey, or you’ll face consequences far worse than what you’ve seen so far.”
Aurora’s eyes flashed with anger. “You’re not just cruel, but heartless,” she spat out. “So you watched your dear Lily hurt an innocent girl, just because she’s your favorite toy?”
Damian’s surprise was clear, his eyebrows shooting upwards. He had not expected such defiance from this new acquisition, but it only served to stir his curiosity and desire. He leaned back in his chair, a smug smile playing on his lips. “Lily does as I command,” he said, his voice a low purr that sent a shiver down Aurora’s spine. “And as for your concern for the little one, it’s touching, really.”
Aurora stepped closer to him, her eyes flashing with anger. “Would you have allowed it if she was your sister?” she demanded, her voice shaking with emotion. “Is this what you call control, watching others suffer for your own twisted pleasure?”
Damian’s smile grew colder. “Luna is not my sister,” he said, his voice a low growl. “And she does as I say. But perhaps,” he mused, his eyes lingering on Aurora’s flushed face and heaving chest, “you need a similar lesson in obedience.”
Miss Catherine took a step forward, her hand raised as if to intervene, but Damian’s hand shot up, halting her in her tracks. He was intrigued by Aurora’s fiery spirit, so unlike the docile obedience he was used to from his other girls. He wanted to see how far she would push before she broke. “Let her speak,” he said, his voice a silky threat.
“Lily is beautiful,” Aurora spat, her eyes flashing. “But if she has to hurt others to feel that way, then she’s nothing but a coward!” Her words hung in the air, a challenge to the very fabric of the power structure that held them all captive. Miss Catherine’s hand fell to her side, her eyes widening at Aurora’s audacity.
Damian’s smirk grew, his eyes darkening with a predatory glint. “Lily is indeed special,” he conceded. “But you, my dear, have a fire that intrigues me.” He stood, his tall frame towering over Aurora as he approached her. “A fire that I intend to tame, one way or another.”
Aurora felt her heart hammer in her chest, but she didn’t back down. “I’m not your pet to be tamed,” she said, her voice shaking but firm. “I’m a person, with thoughts and feelings, and I won’t let you or anyone else treat me like I’m less than that.”
Damian chuckled, his eyes dark with amusement. “We’ll see about that,” he said, his hand reaching out to caress Aurora’s cheek. She flinched at his touch, but she didn’t pull away.
“I’m not here to be your plaything,” Aurora said, meeting Damian’s cold gaze with a fiery resolve. “Life dealt me a cruel hand, but that doesn’t mean you get to break me.” Her voice was steady despite the tremble in her body, a clear line drawn between her and the monster before her.
Damian’s hand paused on her cheek, his eyes narrowing at her defiance. He wasn’t used to his possessions speaking to him with such audacity, but Aurora was different. Instead of anger, he felt a strange thrill, the challenge in her words only fueling his desire to conquer her. “You’re bold,” he murmured, his thumb tracing her jawline. “But that won’t save you from your fate.”
Aurora stepped back, out of his reach. She looked into his eyes, her own flashing with determination. “Damian,” she said, her voice firm. “Or whatever you call yourself. You may have bought me, but that doesn’t give you the right to own me. I won’t let you or anyone else hurt Luna.”
The room grew still, the air thick with tension. Miss Catherine’s eyes darted between Aurora and Damian, unsure of what to do next. Damian’s smile didn’t waver, but something in his gaze shifted, a hint of surprise and a flicker of respect for the girl’s courage. “You care for her,” he said, his voice a soft purr. “How… touching.”
Aurora’s jaw clenched, her eyes never leaving his. “We’re all in this hell together,” she said through gritted teeth. “The least we can do is look out for each other.”
Damian’s smile grew, a dangerous glint in his eye. “Ah, but you see, Aurora,” he said, his voice like silk. “That’s where you’re wrong. In this house, there’s no ‘we’. Only ‘me’ and ‘mine’. And you, my dear, are very much ‘mine’.”
Aurora’s stomach turned at his words, but she didn’t back down. “And I don’t know why you called me here,” she said, her voice cold, “but I’m not interested in whatever you want to say.”
Damian’s eyes narrowed, his smirk fading. “You’re here because I wish it,” he said, his voice a low growl. “Because in this house, you do as you’re told.” He stepped closer to her, his presence a looming threat. “But since you’ve brought it up, I want to make something very clear: Luna is my property, and if you wish to stay in my favor, you will keep your opinions to yourself.”
Aurora felt a cold chill run down her spine, but she didn’t flinch. “And if I don’t?” she challenged, her voice steady despite the fear that pounded in her chest.
Damian stepped closer, his breath hot against her cheek. “Then you’ll find yourself in a world of pain that you can’t even begin to imagine,” he whispered, his voice a seductive threat. His hand reached out, his thumb tracing a line down Aurora’s neck, sending a shiver through her body. She wanted to pull away, but she knew that any sign of weakness would only make things worse.
“But,” he continued, his voice a caress that sent a chill down Aurora’s spine, “since you’ve shown such spirit, I’ll give you a chance to prove yourself. You’re to entertain my guests tonight. If you perform well, perhaps I’ll consider your request to keep Luna safe.”
Aurora felt a flicker of hope, but it was quickly doused by the reality of what he was asking. “Entertain?” she echoed, her voice thick with disgust. “You want me to… to be a whore?”
Damian’s smile grew colder, his eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and malice. “Not just any whore,” he said, his voice dropping to a low purr. “My whore. The best one in the house.”
You do realize I’m 18 right Damian!!!!
Miss Catherine’s surprise was palpable, her eyes flicking between Aurora and Damian in disbelief. She had never heard anyone address him so informally, much less challenge him. But Aurora’s use of his name was more than just a sign of defiance; it was a declaration of war in this twisted world where power was wielded through fear and pain.
Damian’s smile grew thinner, his eyes narrowing at Aurora’s audacity. “You dare address me so?” he asked, his voice low and dangerous. “Do you know who I am?”
Aurora’s heart raced, but she held her ground. “I know you’re a monster,” she spat. “A man who buys and sells people like they’re objects. And I’d rather die than be one of your playthings!”
Damian’s hand shot out, his grip tightening around Aurora’s throat. He squeezed, just enough to make her gasp for air, but not enough to take it away. “You’re mine,” he said, his voice a cold whisper. “And you’ll do as I say.”
Aurora’s eyes bulged, but she didn’t back down. She met his gaze, her own filled with a mix of anger and fear. “I’ll never be yours,” she choked out. “You can use my body, but you’ll never own my soul.”
Damian’s grip tightened for a moment, his thumb pressing against her pulse. Then, just as quickly as he had grabbed her, he released her. “We’ll see,” he said, his voice a dark promise. “Miss Catherine, prepare Aurora for tonight. Make sure she’s ready to impress.”
Miss Catherine nodded, her eyes flicking to Aurora before she turned to leave the room. Aurora felt a cold dread settle in her stomach. She knew that she had crossed a line, but she couldn’t let fear dictate her actions. She had to find a way to protect Luna, even if it meant playing the part of the obedient sex slave for now.
