Chapter 78

Elena
I haven’t had the best night since I vacate this house. If you care to know, my night was fucking beautiful.
I slid out of the covers, my bed was as pleasant as the morning and beautiful as the brightly-coloured butterflies dancing outside my windows. With excitement, I run to my mirror to see my reflection and my dazzling blue eyes. My hair is messy but more beautiful than it ever been.
I see through the mirror, smiling at myself as I run my hands into my red hair. I had slept with just my blue panty on and a white crop top.
Everything that happened last night flashes on my face like a beautiful diary. The kisses, their hot faces, amazing aura and especially when they fall to their knees to apologize. Gosh, it was a beautiful moment to remember. I wouldn’t deny, it captured my heart.
I have no words to utter but fucking smile, it’s adorable.
I don’t waste time in my room because I have pretty much to do. I need to help my mom out and go get our belongings out of Mr. Callum’s house. I rush into the bathroom to take my bath. I made my hair pretty nice and slip into the simplest dress I could find. My belongings ain’t here anyway, so I pick whatever I find to wear.
“Good morning.” The first sharp voice I hear is my mom’s. She just got out of her room, and she seems pretty happy than I am and it’s because she has her husband’s house back.
“Someone looks super excited.” I giggle as I take my hand off my door handle.
“Excited? I don’t think that is the word. Beautiful it is. I feel beautiful, Elena.” She comes closer, and raises her hand to my face so that she could caress my hair softly, like a five-year-old kid. She does that all the time.
“Thank you, Elen.” She smiles. Wide smiles.
“For what again?” I frown, all she does is thank me. I’m already feeling so embarrassed. I smile, I can’t accept that all the time.
“Our house is back.” Her hands fall on my shoulder and she leans in to kiss me on my cheek.
I smile. “That’s alright mom, I have to go get our stuff out. I saw the quick notice to vacate last night.” I wonder how they got my number. I saw the message but I was too occupied by my mates to reply.
“That traitor.” She breathes hard, hating on the man that impregnated her.
“That’s fine mom. We have our house back, there’s nothing to worry about anymore.” her face shows a satisfied expression, and I smile.
“Sure go quickly.” Her eyes lights up.
I go downstairs to prepare my car, ready to go when Ava calls my name. “Elen, I don’t think the space in your car would be sufficient, I will come along with my car, bitch.” She laughs, and it seems that I wasn’t the only one who had a blissful night. Ava’s eyes shows it all. She looks very pretty this morning. Prettier than her normal pretty.
“You always make things easy for me.” I compliment her, making her eyes light up like a glossy silver necklace.
“That’s what best friends do.” She’s right, best friends make things easy for each other. They are ready to sacrifice anything to make the other happy, but Ava is more than that kind of a friend.
“If you think I take you as my best friend, then you are wrong. You are my fucking sister, Ava.”
“You deserve a kiss.” she laughs, her cheeks glowing. She continues laughing as she get into her car. If we weren’t in a hurry she would make the kiss real, and maybe dance, she was excited.
We drive off to the house and step out of the car. I stop to look at the building for a few seconds, my instinct never told me lies.
I knew it wasn’t a good decision to live here. It was bad news. It is still bad news because if we didn’t get our house back, we should’ve been thrown out into the street by now.
“What are you looking at? Let’s go in, there’s no time.” She comes to push me to the entrance of the door.
I smile and still don’t believe the Quads proved to be useful for the first time, and that’s because they want to make up for all the time they have messed up. I think this semester is going to be a good one. The last semester of the year.
I push the door open. It’s silent and dark, I turn on the lights before heading to the bedrooms upstairs. I go into my room first to pack my bags. Ava is here making everything easier and faster. She packs out my clothes from the wardrobe and my shoes from the shoe racks, throwing them into the suitcase.
I look around the room, knowing full well that I wasn’t going to be able to handle everything myself. I’m lucky she came along. I go to mom’s room instead to pack her bags, when I’m convinced that Ava can handle the ones in my room. I dust out mom’s shoes and handbags, including the ones dad got her on several occasions and her birthday. I put them all into the black suitcase on the bed.
In one hour, we are done. She has sweat all over her face as she comes out the with the suitcase beside her. I also have dust all over my clothes, thank goodness it’s not one of my favourite clothes I have on. I wouldn’t be much sadder about the clothes being turned into rags.
“I’m done, Elen. Are you?” She sighs, wiping the sweat off with her arms. She is messy too and I’m responsible for it. “I’m sorry for the stress, Ava.” I tilt my head, letting my calm voice seep into her.
“I enjoy helping you out, so is that stressful?” She shakes her head, and rolls her eyes to say that I’m silly for thinking that way.
She’s the best, and I can’t just get over the excitement that I have her. “We gotta go, if we are done.” She sounds hurry, is she going to leave me?
“We are leaving already. But are you going out?” I ask her.
She shakes her head. “I just need to check on Diana.” She says.
Oh, fuck! I don’t believe I forgot all about Diana. I couldn’t have the chance to ask after her. I was too grossed in the situation earlier.
“Oh shit, Ava. I’m so sorry, I never mentioned anything about her again.” My voice is apologetic, and she smiles.
“You silly. Do you think I don’t understand? I do. You had your problems. It is normal you didn’t ask.” She always finds a way to prove my actions right, even when I feel guilty. She always does something to make me feel better, what a beautiful soul.
“You also don’t have to worry because she is awake now.” She smiles, her face lights up again. I gasp, letting go of the bag as I run to hug her. It is good news!
“I’m so excited.” I kiss her on her cheek. She giggles as though it’s ticklish.
Her smile comes to a stop, and she lowers her head again as if something is wrong. “Is something still bothering you? Spill it out, that’s why you have me.” I put my hand on her shoulder, and my other hand to raise her face so that she can look at me.
“I haven’t set my eyes on mom, Elen. She just left. I know she did wrong but she didn’t even apologize to me! If she had apologized, I would have forgiven her, because I love her. Instead, she chose to leave. She never said anything to me.” I see tears gathering in her eyes, all of a sudden.
Has she been feeling hurt that she pretends to be good in front of me? The tears say it all. She’s been hiding her pain. She’s hurt that Ferry left without a word. She’s pissed Ferry didn’t apologize, even though she was going to forgive her.
All she wanted was her apology, then they would be good again as they used to be. Ava loves her mom, that she was going to do anything to keep her secret.
“You don’t have to cry, Ava. I’m sorry.” I feel bad, I hate seeing her cry. I don’t know what to do because it is above my capacity. Ferry isn’t in the country and I know nothing about her movements anyway.
“Sure, don’t worry. I’m fine, let’s go now!” She quickly wipes her smile and comes up with a new energy.
“Are you okay?” I don’t move, as I ask slowly.
“Yes, I am. I won’t worry much. I have you. I have Avera. The Quads too. Now I have a new family. You all are my family now.” She smiles, gosh. My heart merries as I pull her into another tight hug. She’s right, she has a new family now. We are her family and now we also have the Quads with us.
“Let’s go.” I pick up the suitcase and begin to run it down the stairs. I throw one into my boot, and Ava does the same.
I constantly turn to stare at her, to check on her mood. And honestly, it has really improved. She seems relieved, and I’m happy about that.
She gets in her car before me. I’m in my car when my phone suddenly vibrates in my pocket. It’s a text message.
“Let’s go for our proper night date. Last night was a surprise for you. We should make up for the dinner tonight. I got you a dress, wear it.” It’s a text from Ryan, I smile, all through while reading the message.
My heart skips, he got me a dress? That’s the sexiest thing I have ever heard. Getting a dress for your girlfriend, for a night date. It’s a fucking ten.
My cheek glints like a red bouquet, and glows like it. I leave his message on read, because I can’t think of a reply. I admit this is making me nervous because it’s fucking cute.
I put my phone aside, start the car and begin to drive home. Ava is ahead of me.
I reach home and step out of the car. I take the suitcase out and drag it upstairs to our rooms. When I’m done, I fall on the couch in the living room and let out a loud sigh. I’m so exhausted.
I don’t get to spend three minutes on the couch when mom comes with a white box in her hand.
“You have a gift, Elen. The delivery man dropped this, and it says it’s for you.” She mentions the delivery man, and I suddenly know it was Ryan.
I smile. “Thank you.” I take it from her and run upstairs to my room. I unwrap it, and see something written on it. And another writing that says, “Read this before you open the box.” My cheek flushes red.
“I can’t stop thinking about you Elen. Your beautiful smiles. Your sexy laughter. Your gorgeous lips. Shit, I can’t decide, I want all of you. Wear this dress, I will be waiting for you, let’s go on a proper date tonight.” I laugh.
He didn’t sleep? Did he think of me all night?
Now, after reading this I’ll be the one plagued with sleepless nights because I want to put this memory on repeat. I want to hug this beautiful memory tightly like my own doll.
I throw the lid down as I open the box. It’s a blue gown made with diamonds. I gasp. I want to scream. Where did he got the money to get a gown like this, then I remembered he is a billionaire because this is fucking expensive!
I remember I didn’t give reply to his text earlier. I grab my phone and text him.
Elena: Are you crazy! This is fucking expensive!
I send the text immediately. I’m about to drop my phone but he replies instantly. I guess he has been sitting and staring at his phone, waiting for my reply because this is too quick.
Ryan: What took you so long to reply? You got me worried.
I read and smile. Then he replies to my question.
Ryan: Maybe crazy over you, Elen. You deserve more and as I promised, I will strive to become the most amazing man you ever met.
Jesus, my heart won’t stop racing. He is crazy. I haven’t had any amazing man as mine before, he seems to be the first and he just started.
It was just a thought, and I didn’t text back. Instead, I drop my phone and jump into my bed, smiling at the ceiling.
