Ryan
“Where the fuck do we find her? We don’t have much time!” Tyson asks and I check my watch. We really do not have much time left to save her. No doubts my brothers are getting their ass kicked out too.
“I don’t know, but he said something about getting drowned. So, it has to be a pool, we have to find it.” I reply as I step on the leaves and twigs as we walk through the property line. I have my flashlight ahead of us, showing us the path to take.
“We have to be fast, man.” There is no way we could use our ride. We have no idea where it is, so we have to do it by foot because it is fucking dark.
The tree hides the light of the moon, not like it will be much help to us because it is already nighttime. The property is large. It is confusing which path to take. How did dad know this place? Who knows how many attrocities he must have done here
I set my flashlight ahead of us and we suddenly see a set of stone stairs. ” I see another pathway, a stairs footpath. Let’s take this.” I shine the flashlight towards it. We need to see the way clearly and make sure it’s the right one because we don’t have time to waste.
“Are you sure we should take it? Elena is in trouble and we barely have time, man.” He grunts.
“We don’t know the way, we can’t be sure which way we should take. This is the only pathway I have seen so far, let’s fucking take it now!” I breathe.
He stops arguing and follows me up the ten stairs. I know he is also tensed up, he wouldn’t want anything happening to Elena either. None of us wants a scratch on her. That is why we will even risk our lives to save what is ours.
I shine my flashlight ahead and I see more steps going down at the other side, that looks like the backyard of the building. We walk closer to it and it turns out to be a tunnel. There is a large concrete overhead, retaining water like in a pool.
“Isn’t that something like a pool?” Tyson mumbles.
“Come on!” He rushes down quickly and I do the same, having our bodies crawl on the walls because it is a little tight as we step down the stairs.
“Is that water I hear?” He screams.
“We should check it out!”
It sounds like water bubbling up in a sink in a damp. We come to an opening and shine the light ahead of us again. We don’t see the pool yet, all we hear is the bubbling sound of water.
“I think there are two ways here. We don’t know which path would lead to the pool.” He growls.
“We will split up man, go straight ahead to the left while I go to the right.”
I shine my light along the concrete wall as I take the right path. It’s eerily quiet down here, I can’t hear the water bubbling anymore but I hear something.
I come to a stop, shutting off my light and holding my breath for a while. I listen as I try to block out my other senses from disrupting the connection and hear where it is coming from. It sounds like water but not like the bubbling noise I heard earlier.
A soft scream rips out from the tunnel, coming from ahead of me but it stops just as easily. I run towards the direction I suspected and come to a door. Could that be Elena’s voice? Damn, it’s my Elena’s!
I walk down to open the door, but I hear a voice behind me. Coming with a flashlight. ” Ryan?” he whispers.
“I heard a…” I hear another suspicious sound, I quickly put my hands on my lips to make him go silent and put out his light.
Gently pushing the door open so as not to alert the men of our presence, I glance inside. But I see no one. I see an empty chair in the middle and a metal table on the right.
Suddenly, I hear that water sound. But it’s outside the door, and this time I am more certain the pool is close. Its closer. I can hear the bubbles louder. It comes and stops.
We quickly run out of the door, we ain’t splitting up any longer because the pool seems closer and there are no two paths anymore.
We go through downstairs, and turn to the right side when we see water, a pool before us.
Elena is being pressed down into the bottom side of the pool by two hefty men. I suppose it was their flashlight we saw earlier when I asked Tyson to keep shut and turn off his light.
Tyson runs forward, yanks him off her and tosses him into my arms. “What the bloody fuck?” I slam my fist into his face, knocking him out instantly. I drag his ass up when I see an empty chair and a rope, I fucking begin to tie him up on the empty chair.
The other guy is prepared to fight us, but when he sees we just knocked out his colleague, he begins to tremble. As I move closer to him, he takes a step backward, and Tyson goes to attack him from behind.
He holds him by his throat, as he tosses him to me. I hit him on his stomach, making his eyes roll. “Haha, you can kill me but do you think you can save her? By now she should be dead.” He smiles with blood on his teeth, and with the thought of losing my mate, I clench his neck harder. Throwing him back to Tyson to deal with him.
I can’t find Elena on the water anymore, looks like she’s drowning already. All I hear is the same bubble sound. My Elena is dying. Shit.
“Elena!” I scream her name, diving into the water. No response, is she truly knocked out? If she’s knocked out, there’s no way she can swim or survive. She’s going to die.
Fear is crawling all over my skin. My heart is crying as I search for her under the water. The water is deep more, than 8ft, I look thoroughly I can’t see her at 6ft.
Damn, Elena, hold on, please. Please don’t let go.
I go deeper into the water searching for her, I go down enough. Then I see something. I see a rope. Did they fucking tie her up? Damn, I won’t spare them.
I begin to see her face and her red hair. She’s floating down to the bottom of the pool like a piece paper as though she’s lifeless. I swim harder to reach her, I went down the pool so I could grab her from behind, I grab her by her waist but there’s no reaction. She’s not responding. She looks lifeless.
I’m scared like never before, hating myself and hating everyone that has hurt her.
I swim out of the pool, Tyson ripped out the heart of the other man, because as I step out of the pool with Elena, the first thing I see is the pool of blood on the ground and a beating heart. He comes to assist me in bringing Elena out of the pool. I place her on my lap, trying to wake her up.
I press her chest but she isn’t responding. “Elena, wake up please, I’m here and nothing is gonna happen. Please wake up, Elenq!” I gently slap her face, but she’s so pale and her red lips are changing to something pink as though she’s dying.
She wouldn’t respond, and I begin to blow air into her mouth through her lips. Maybe this will work. Nothing will happen to you Elena. You have to wake up. There’s a lot we have to do as mates.
I haven’t gotten her forgiveness, I haven’t shown her how much I love her.
I haven’t gone on a date with her. I haven’t had a nice couple night with her. I can’t fucking lose her!
No, please Elena wake up.
