Ryan
“Ryan!” A voice rings in my head, making me jerk up from the couch. I wasn’t sure I was dreaming, but I heard my name. Someone called me. My wolf is screaming too.
I can feel my wolf in pain and restless, knowing that it is Elena who just called us. Why would she? Is she in trouble? She would never call us because she hates us now.
I look around me, my brothers are still with me. The four of us suddenly look at one another. “Our wolf is uncomfortable man, what is wrong?” Darius speaks out first. The discomfort spreads all over our faces.
“I heard my name. Is she in trouble?” I ask, frowning deeply as I feel uncomfortable.
“There would be no way she would scream for us, because we have hurt her badly. If in any case she does, then she is definitely in trouble.” Daniel rises from the couch, impatient.
Damn it. I suspected this. I can’t believe they fall for it. I hit my palm on the couch.
“Who?” Daniel hears my thought and said out loud.
“We need to track her phone, asap!” I say urgently, having no time to answer his question.
“Got it.” Daniel says, pulling out his phone from his pocket. I try to grab my phone from the table to call dad’s number. I give it a try once and it says it’s been turned off.
Good, something is fishy. I fucking don’t trust that man. If he has Elena, I won’t let him off. Never.
“Hey, her phone is off. I can’t get a signal.” Daniel grumbles as a deep frown settles on his face.
“Damn it!” I kick the table in anger as I scream. “Bro, She’s definitely in trouble.” I grit my teeth.
“We gotta go look for her!” I rush out of the house, already grabbing my car keys.
My brothers run out of the house with me. “We have no idea where she is. Where do we start?” Darius asks.
He is right, we have no idea where she is now and her phone is fucking off. I’m sure my dad is involved in all of these. He is pretty shameless. The media can easily detect if something happens to her. And before the media reacts, we will definitely react first. One thing I am fucking sure of.
“I will go find her myself, wherever she is. You know…” I go on in my silence, thinking this was all my fault.
“I will go with you.” Darius says hastily.
“And I will go find out things from her best friend.” Daniel adds, staring at all of us.
“Fine, I will go with you too.” Tyson says to Daniel as the two of them rush into Tyson’s car. Darius quickly gets in the passenger seat of my car.
I hit the road first before Daniel does. We get to go our separate ways in search of our mate. Our soft flower. Our little mate.
“You know, if we didn’t focus on punishing her, we would have caught on to this sooner.” Darius says as he sighs into the cold air. “That it was our dad.” His rough laughter fills my car.
I feel the ugly twinge in my stomach. It’s all my fault. I’ve been so desperate to make her pay, that I didn’t realize my father was the rapist all along.
It only fell into place when I caught him cheating on mom. Fuck, the sign has been in front of me the entire time. I just ignored it because it was obvious that Elena framed me. Dad used us to cover the truth, to make us hate her. He planned to use her to cover up his sins. I mean I’m just as guilty as he is. I played with my soft flower and hurt her.
I speed up the car, the road crunching beneath the tires, until we reach Elena’s house.
Darius jumps out of the car first, I turned off the engine and parked in a spot, that is covered in darkness. And since my car is black, it won’t be easy to detect in the night.
I kick at the door with a foot and it breaks open. I get in first, I turn on the light and see the mess everywhere. Something happened here.
“Elena!” I scream as loud as I can. No response, as though she isn’t here and I cannot feel her scent as well.
“Where the fuck did they take her to?” Darius aggressively kicks the stool in between the two couches. I attempt to run up the staircase when I step on something. It makes a cracking sound. I look and see it was her cell phone. Damn it!
“She sure isn’t here, bro.” Darius’ voice was low.
“She isn’t. We need to check on her mom.” I answer as I lift my head up the stairs. I run into it, taking the stairs by two.
I enter her room and see everything almost broken. It’s messed up, like the living room. Elena and her mom aren’t safe, my wolf confirms.
Darius hears our wolf speak and he gives me a sign by narrowing his eyes. “What the fuck is going on?” He is confused just as I am. Where is her mom?
We come out of the room. I suddenly hear something and my wolf howls as well. I know what it means, I slowly jump down the stairs to turn off the light in the room.
In a second, we are covered in darkness. “You heard the sound too?” Darius asks and I nod in silence, putting a finger across my lips.
It was a sound of a car, and the sounds becomes louder as its headlight becomes brighter. A person steps out of the car, and walks to the door. He unlocks the door and shuts it behind him.
“Phew! Those fools. Elena is finally going to pay for her foolishness, and Avera, for her husband’s betrayal!” he mumbled as he unbuttons his shirt off his chest, showing a white undershirt.
The lights are still turned off. I remain cool as I hear him speak when he thinks he is alone in the house. He goes to turn on the switch light when he is suddenly startled by my hoarse voice. “Perfect timing.” I say, smirking at him as the light floods the room.
“W-what are you doing here?” Fear suddenly crawls on his face. I see his hands begin to shake. I just smirk harder as I pull my sleeves up.
“Where is she?” I ask as I walk over to him. I halt in front of him and dip my hands into my pocket. Smiling as I see his lips shake.
“What are you talking ab-” before he speaks whatever blunder he wants to spit out of that trash, I throw a fist across his lips. He stumbles backwards missing his footage.
“Now, where is Elena?” I repeat when he balances his stance spitting out blood.
“And her mom?!” Darius adds. I see his fist rolling into a ball on his side.
“How do you suddenly care about her? I thought we were on the same side. Do you want to betray your father now?” He stutters, his breath races.
I grin as I hear the word ‘betray.’
“Betray? Do you know the fucking word betray? Do you realise you are betraying the woman who is pregnant with your child? As for my dad, he’s been a betrayal all his fucking life!”
“Damn it!” he hisses, and he scans for something on the floor. I follow his eyes as he suddenly grabs something to hit my head.
I grab the vase and crack it right in front of him. “You better save yourself first from me, if you wanna live. Fucking tell me where she is!” I roar to his face. My eyes are full of pain, it’s bloodshot making him tremble.
He begins to stutter. He tells me and starts begging me to spare him.
I smile walking out, knowing Darius won’t even let him go scot-free. He grabs his hair, slamming his head harshly on the wall. Then he hits his face again, making him pass out immediately. Blood oozes out from his nostrils, messing up the clothing he has on.
“What do we do to him?” He asks.
“We will bring him along.” I tell him as I smirk again. They have no idea what we are going to do, for trying to hurt Elena. She has been hurt all this while by us. Now, we won’t let anyone touches her. Not even a fly.
