Chapter 574: Leaving First

Book:Married The Day We Met Published:2024-12-13

After Marilyn left, Callie sat in place for a long time. This was her third visit to the hotel owned by the Ellison family, but the first time she took a good look at the decor.
Luxurious, yet not ostentatious, every corner exuded a sense of zen, reflecting Sienna’s style.
Ahmad must love her very much… If Maevelyn were still around, perhaps Sienna wouldn’t have to live in seclusion at the temple, isolated from the world.
Callie thought about this and smiled bitterly.
She wanted to find Regan, but as soon as she stood up, her foot twisted. The heel of her shoe had broken, making it difficult to walk. She looked around in frustration; there was no one to help her.
At that moment, Sienna entered, surrounded by several ladies. She immediately noticed the slender girl looking down, lost and unsure, a stark contrast to her confident demeanor on stage earlier.
“Sienna, what’s going on?” one of the ladies asked as they saw her pause.
“Oh, it’s nothing. You go ahead; I’ll join you shortly,” Sienna said, sending them off before approaching Callie. “What’s wrong?”
Callie was surprised to hear her voice and felt nervous meeting Sienna again. “I…”
Sienna quickly noticed her discomfort with her foot. “Wait here for me.”
As Sienna walked away, Callie stood there feeling very regretful. Although Sienna was Marilyn’s mother, their ways of doing things were quite different. Yet she repeatedly did inappropriate things at Sienna’s daughter’s important events.
She felt truly sorry.
While waiting for Sienna to return, Callie’s phone suddenly rang. She felt a sense of relief, thinking it was a message from Nelson. But when she opened it, she found a clear photo-
A man was pressing a woman down on a large bed, one hand on her chest, kissing her neck.
No matter how you looked at it, it was a couple deeply involved in an intimate moment.
The photo was clear enough to see the man’s profile completely.
Callie’s legs went weak as she gripped her phone tightly. The man was too familiar to her; there was no need to identify him.
She swallowed hard and zoomed in on the photo to rule out any suspicion.
There were no signs of Photoshop; their actions were so natural.
The number that sent the message was from Ylosea.
Callie immediately called back.
No one answered.
Just then, Regan came down from upstairs. She put on a coat and walked up to Callie. “I have to go. Come with me.”
Callie stood there in a daze, unable to snap out of it.
“Callie? What’s wrong?” Regan waved a hand in front of her face.
Callie finally snapped out of it. “What did you say?”
“I said I have to go. Come with me.”
Callie turned on her phone. “I… I have to wait for Nelson.”
“The men are socializing; they won’t be done for another two hours. Come with me to look at houses.”
“… Alright.” Callie didn’t know what she was feeling; her steps were unsteady. As long as she could leave this place, anything would be fine.
“How did your heel break?” Regan clicked her tongue and swapped shoes with her, then they left the hotel together.
Sienna asked a waiter for flat shoes and hurried back to where Callie had been waiting, but no one was there anymore.
She felt a moment of disappointment when she saw Callie’s high heels left on the ground. She instructed the waiter to pick them up and wrote down an address. “Get them fixed and send them to this address.”
