Lilia’s Pov
His eyes blazed crimson as he said that and I pretended not to see it. He had perfect gold eyes that reflect his royal status but his crimson eyes reflected something more dangerous, deadly. It made me remember the night he killed Ryker, the Alpha of Green Howling pack. He didn’t look real but I wasn’t scared a bit. Infact, if anything…. I was curious and wished to know why it glinted that way.
His thumb wiped the tears off my face, I didn’t know that I was so mad to let the tears flow making me sniff.
“I won’t let anything hurt you Lilia, I don’t give a two fuck about whatever or anyone that but you’re mine till further notice.”
“What about Raven, he’s done nothing wrong.” I couldn’t help but ask him and he bit his lips.
“Don’t underestimate Raven Flower…he’s not just a Beta but something more. He’ll be fine in no time.” He told me reassuringly and I didn’t know when I heaved a sigh of relief.
I trust his words and it’s turning out to be something I’m getting used to. One minute, I want to be over the fact he doesn’t affect me and I’ll be fine but the next second I’m melting and nodding like a robot to his words.
I didn’t want to remember the session we had before we got distracted. It made my head spin to the back and blush burned my cheeks.
“Let’s go back to the pack” He said and I nodded at his words without arguments.
The eyes that bore into my skin when we reached Midnight Shade made my skin crawl in irritation. I got sneers from every direction I threw my glanc, especially if Lex wasn’t watching and I had to admit the bunch of Hypocrites this pack had for members.
Alveria was present by the time we got to the general royal hall and I felt tensed and nervous instantly, she was always here as if it was it’s her second home and I detest it with every fiber in me, Isabella and Tessy was present too, they looked carefree and happy till our presence caused a stir, making their countenance drop to an ugly one that made me want to puke.
“Oh Alexander!” His mother gasped in sheer relief and excitement as she stood up to welcome him with a hug, shutting her eyes to caress his back and expressing her worry. I wanted to leave for the mother and son to bond as seeing a stiff Lex, smiling with his mum was something I never imagined to see as beautiful. It made my heart flutter but Lex’s hold on my wrists were so firm that I feared my hand might break if I forcefully withdrew from his grip.
“I’m fine Mother, hmm…where’s Felix?”
“He’s here so quit worrying.” He chuckled at her and she dismissed it off. She stared at our entwined hands and I felt so uncomfortable.
“I’m glad you’re okay Lilia.” She smiled at me, a very genuine one that made me think this woman had been worried for me.
I was too stunned to say a word.
“Well, Felix Is in a state where he’s not physically strong at the moment all thanks to your Rogue Luna!”
Tessy spat out loud and rudely, gaining Lex’s attention and I swallowed, feeling pissed.
“You should be more careful in choosing those that would ruin the peace and reputation of this pack! She’s so evil because tell me where she would have such strength to send someone as Felix into an unconscious state and now, your beta is about to be stripped of his position!” She yelled infm Fury as if she’s been reserving it for a purpose like this.
” I didn’t ask for your opinion Tessy ” Lex replied curtly and turned to Alveria who couldn’t hide her displeasure at Lex’s words.
“And I get to strip who I want to strip or not, it’s not a matter of Law.” He added and an angry energy burst through her.
“It’s your father’s order Alpha Lex!” She spat out and Lex nodded.
“That’s because I wasn’t available to take my position, I’m here now. My Father’s Position is in the parliament of New York, I own Midnight Shade!” He growled and the room cowered in silence at his expression of his authority.
“Raven broke the law Alex! I’m doing what is supposed to be done except you’ve gone weak already.” His father who was seated and watching the argument finally said something. I felt so tiny that I wished to crawl into a hole to hide.
“My weaknesses would be displayed when the pack is failing father. I’m looking after five packs that are merged and doing well. She was here for a rogue test and not get killed , if anything had happened to Lilia, I would have killed Raven myself!”
“Is that why you fired the Finance officer and tried to hurt his daughter?” His father continued and Lex swallowed, releasing a deep breath.
“I’m not having this conversation with you, you should go back to the city. I’ll continue from here..”
He looked composed as ever, he wasn’t staring at me but I knew he was trying to prove a point that he wasn’t going to let anything happen. It makes me wonder why and what happened in the space of a few weeks?
His hands enclosed in mine was like a warm blanket I needed to my scary freezing heart.
“I won’t only strip her off and her family off the list if she’s confirmed to be a rogue in the last test, I will kill her because you and I know that you can never ever get close to a rogue wolf!” My stomach plummeted in dread and blood drained from my face.
What if I failed, because I might fail. I’m a rogue!!

My body began to tremble, I thought of my innocent parents who did nothing wrong but to accept my sorry ass, how humiliated they would be, how isolated they would be because of me and….
“Breath Flower!” His voice snapped in my head and I stared at him. He wasn’t looking at me but I know he really wanted me to breathe.
“Stop hyperventilating, it’s taking a hold on me too.” He confessed and I frowned at his words
“Fine father, do as you wish.”
“Take her to the Woods of Dark Wolves to end this rather than”
“It’s not happening, she’s undergoing the normal process.”
Alveria cleared her throat and bowed at Lex, her tone was filled with disappointment but that didn’t seem to be Lex’s issue.
“In that case, she must undergo the next test immediately. She needs to be disciplined as lateness is another aspect that needs to be addressed.” She told him and he shrugged.
“I know but she’s exhausted at the moment, I tired her out throughout last night, the best time to continue is tomorrow. Get some rest Alveria..” A sharp intake of air enveloped my mouth as he said those words, it made all of them surprised as well that Tessy had to groan and walk out.
“Yo…yu…you tire me out?” I couldn’t help but ask him but he didn’t reply for a while, just staring at Alveria and the rest till they left, his mother stared at us and I didn’t know why she smiled at us before leaving.
“No, I didn’t. It was the opposite.” He said, releasing my hands and I knit my brows in confusion.
“Th…then why did you say that? You’re giving a very wrong impression Lex..”
He turned to me, “Am I? Is it so bad to tire my wife at night?” My heart rate tripled and I glared at him.
“It’s not funny, I’m supposed to be preparing for every test and not give an impression that..”
“You don’t need to give an impression about anything, you’re my wife! And like I said, It was to make Alveria leave. I won’t be able to stop her tomorrow, she remains the Priestess. I didn’t tire you flower, it’s my hands that actually need the rest.”
He said and I stared at his hands Innocently and walked to meet him to take a look at his hands. They looked perfect and hard with a stream line of veins at the back or his palms.
“Nothing is wrong with your hands Lex.”
His eyes darkened as he stared at my hands on his and looking back at me before dropping his voice to a very husky tone.
“You don’t want to know what this hand has been doing all night after seeing an all see-through nightie and flawless skin that glowed at night.”
I gulped instantly, the room became thick as he glued his stare on me. I dreaded the next words to come because I don’t know if I’ll be able to maintain my demeanor when he’s looking at me like that. I held my breath too as he brought his lips to my ears too.
“I don’t know what has come over me but…I fucked myself so hard looking at you Flower…I did that till my hands got tired.”
I gasped and felt my clit throbbed Instantly, my lips trembled at his confession and I bit my lips so hard that it hurts.
I was losing it, I need to leave Midnight Shade and face reality or I might end up…..
I grabbed his collar and kissed him hard, damning the consequences. I didn’t know when I moved on my own accord and a satisfied growl escaped his throat while cupping my ass hard.
