Contracted to the wrong Alpha
Chapter 33
“What are you going to do?” Lee asked me as I walked myself to the room, closing the door shut as I sat on the bed.
“I don’t know, maybe I’ll try harder. We need to leave here Lee. It’s not good for you either.”
I told her and she let out an exasperated sigh.
“I would have asked you to ask his Beta but he is nowhere to be found”
She said and I rolled my eyes, Lee and giving silly assumptions. How on earth would I even talk to Raven again after the last incident that happened? He would want to avoid me till further notice.
“I will make a plan Lee, don’t worry. Sooner or later we’ll also be driving one of the Porsche cars to work.” I told her in my imaginary mind and drifted away in thought.
The next morning was the same for me, nothing to do as Jerry would practically tell me all the rules of being a Luna, and chores weren’t one of them.
“Do you think Lex would be mad if I sneaked to a friend’s party?” I asked the old man who dropped the water jar he was using to water the flowers and his lips twitched.
“I don’t know Luna, but I know that he won’t only get mad but extremely furious if he needs you and can’t find you. For sticking a rule on you on the first day here, I think he cares and it would be dangerous to piss him off.” He explained and I scoffed at his words.
I wanted to yell at him that Lex doesn’t give a fuck and gossip about his attitude, and cockiness and wished to slap him for taking my company but I just realized that I wasn’t talking to Tessy. Today is Melody’s birthday and I need to go either by sneaking out or leaving voluntarily.
“This can only happen if Lex finds out,” I told him and his eyes flickered in worry.
“Luna?”
“It’s my friend’s birthday and I’ve been stuck for weeks, I just want to be out for two hours before he arrives and I’ll be back,” I told him and the worry on his face grew. I’m telling him this because I don’t want to implicate him by just leaving. I respect him too much to do that but I’ll be forced to act on my decision if he doesn’t let me.
“I…the Alpha won’t like this.” He said sincerely and I almost scoffed.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be stupid enough to stay out late, Jerry. Please just let me honor my friend and I’ll be back.” I pleaded and he gave a defeated sigh.
“Fine, I’ll cover you up. The Alpha returns home by 10 to 11 p. m. Can you make it by 9 pm or 10 pm at least? I hope it’s not an all-night party.
“No!” I laughed. “Melody’s father won’t accept that a bit,” I told him with a tone ringing with excitement.
“Fine then, be careful Luna.” He told me with worry.
“Alright Jerry, I’ll be fine, ” I told him, feeling satisfied and fetching my phone to dial Melody’s number and she picked at one ring.
“I know, you won’t be able to make it right?” She started with a sad sigh and I giggled.
“You wish! I’m partying hard tonight ”
“Omg! Really?” She shrieked at the other end and I smirked.
“Sure thing, I just need to get my clothes and I’ll be there in a jiffy. The cake is on me, don’t you dare to buy anything fishy”
“Yes, girlie! Oh sorry, I mean Boss.”
She gasped out loud and I chuckled.
“I like the girlie stuff, right now I’m caged and the Boss thing doesn’t just rhyme,” I told her and she sighed, silence stretching between us and a sudden sadness enveloping me.
“I know you will sail through this ”
She said reassuringly and I wish so too because right now, I don’t trust myself anymore when it comes to Lex. It’s like he’s a god that makes things go his way and whether I like it or not, I have no power over it.
“Alright Melody, I’ll crash at your place soon.”
“Can’t wait.” She said excitedly and I felt fulfilled, she didn’t have anyone to be with her at the moment and Melody would tell me that she doesn’t trust anyone to be her friend.
Entering the Living room, I twirled around and danced to the tunes playing on the TV; feeling a bit free knowing that I was going to leave after feeling caged.
I was wearing a short chiffon gown that had a v-neck and flowery shapes design on the shoulders, reaching for the zippers by the side, I unzipped it and pulled the material down taking it and swaying the material in the air with my hips and I danced along till I reached my room.
Despite having other strange clothes around, I was glad to see the majority of my clothes being stockpiled neatly in a corner and I don’t need a soothsayer to tell me the handwork of the cocky Lex.
I took my black Velvet gown that has a funnel hand by the side and a strap on the other side, pinning a gold brooch and wearing my Rene Caovilla heel sandals. I didn’t have a bag to match so I just took a random purse.
I would do my makeover at Melody’s, all I need to do is get the hell out of this shit hole.

The party took off at 7 pm and the vibe was so positive that I avoided Melody’s father like a plague even though I knew I would soon see him no matter what. Melody’s last statement about her staying away from me made my senses heightened but there’s no way I would stay away from someone who almost practically saved my ass forever.
I looked at the cake with a proud look and grinned at the design, it was perfect with her favourite colour toppings and Icing, flawless with a smooth surface, showing a perfect bake and well-distributed ingredients.
“I didn’t know you had friends!” I gasped when we walked to the private arena where the party was held and she scoffed.
“What do you expect when your Father is a beta and your mother is an international businesswoman.”
“Hmmn, I see. Happy birthday, Melody!” I told her sweetly and handed over the bag to her. Her eyes out up in surprise as she wasn’t expecting any gift from me but I’ll be damned to come here empty-handed. It was her favourite designer handbag.
“Oh my, you’re so sweet! Thank you!” She hugged me tightly and dragged me to the midst of the people.
“I need to Introduce my cousins to you, I can’t keep you waiting when I know you sneaked out.” She told me and I nodded my head, giggling at the fact that she was scared for me and I had no plans of leaving. I love the settings of the party, not wild with loud music and crazy people smoking the place out. It was simple, more like a princess’s birthday emitting pink royalty. Pink balloons, ribbons, and pink lights to match the event. The chairs were decorated and decent too and a rectangular pool was in the middle, sparkling from the effect of the light.
I didn’t wish to go home, I was already hating that fact but I knew I had no choice.
“Lilia meet my eldest cousin, he’s the current Alpha of Brooklyn and a Business Tycoon.” She grinned happily and turned to him.
“Ryker, meet my boss and friend!” She winked, shouting over the loud music and he flashed a cut smile and stretched his hands.
“Nice to meet you Lilia; it’s an honour to meet you.” He smiled genuinely and I took his hands until he made the next statement.
“You look quite familiar and fucking beautiful, why would a guy go far and release such a tape?” He turned to look at Melody whose smile dropped instantly.
“Isn’t she the one whose moans could turn on anyone?” I withdrew my hands instantly from him and I felt ice on my body instantly.
“That’s enough Ryker!” Melody seethed but the damage was already done.
“I’m sorry Lilia, I thought they already fixed the stuff.” She said sincerely and I couldn’t blame her as all I feel right now is a huge lump threatening to make me burst into tears and shame.
“Don’t worry, it’s okay. Meet Tessy too, she’s my fraternal cousin and she came from Midnight Shade.”
She smiled happily and hugged her and immediately, I knew this party wasn’t for me.
