Chapter 783 I’m not going to tell you

Paige’s hand couldn’t help but wrap around his neck, entwining with him in a passionate kiss, absorbing the rare warmth of the moment.
Enrico held her on the stair railing, his large hands gradually moving upwards, supporting the back of her head, his fingers buried in her soft hair, lingering on her lips, savouring the taste that was hers alone.
She seemed to be greedy for this moment too, her arms around his neck getting tighter and tighter, unwilling to let go even if it made breathing difficult.
Darkness is the most moving filter for lingering.
Enrico stared at her fluttering eyelashes, longing to eat her up right then and there. He gave her lips a gentle bite, breathing heavily, and said in a hoarse voice, “Paige, who are you going to show this to?”
“Umm…”
Paige opened her eyes in pain, her vision blurry as she looked at the face in front of her, and muttered, “Kiss me again.”
Her words were muffled in her mouth, but he still heard them.
Enrico would never hold back with her, and he held the back of her head and kissed her again. A big hand followed the line of her clothes down, and her skin was as cool as jade.
He withdrew in time, or else he would have to take a cold shower if he played any longer.
“Kiss…”
Paige hung her hand around his neck and pressed it downwards, and her thoughts were vague as she kissed back on her own initiative.
Hey.
Was he lecturing her or himself?
Enrico lowered his head and kissed her back, pressing hard against her lips, and his hand slipped inside the hem of her shirt.
“Owwww! Daddy! Mommy! Where are you?”
A sudden cry came from upstairs, shattering the quiet darkness.
Enrico was startled, and almost clumsily, he fell down the stairs with Paige in his arms. As soon as he had her in his arms, he covered her ears when she frowned. Paige looked at him dazedly for a moment, then leaned against his shoulder and said sleepily, “Enrico, go to sleep.”
“Okay, sleep, you sleep.”
Enrico hugged her tightly and patted her back gently, as if he were comforting a child.
“Mmm,” Paige closed her eyes in relief.
Before falling asleep again, Paige felt as if she heard Gabriel’s voice. She wanted to wake up a little, but as she listened to the man’s voice, she felt like she was hypnotized, obediently falling asleep in his arms.
Enrico carried her upstairs.

Paige woke up again on the sofa.
The whole living room was filled with bright light. She hugged the quilt and looked ahead with wide eyes, wondering if her memories of last night were real or a dream.
After a long time, she figured it out.
Could this man, Enrico, be any more boring? Does he not get tired of carrying her up and down the stairs?
If she doesn’t come up with a great gift, will he really act angry to the end?
Paige sat up from the sofa in a depressed mood, scratched her slightly unkempt hair, pushed the quilt aside, put on her slippers and went to wash up.
Looking at the time, Paige started to cook congee for breakfast.
Paige was still able to handle simple cooking like porridge and fried eggs. They weren’t delicious enough to make her lick her lips, but they weren’t bad either.
She set the porridge and fried eggs on the dining table, covered them with plates, and was about to go upstairs to wake up the two men when she heard the door open.
Paige took off her apron and walked out a little strangely. She saw Enrico in black sportswear walking through the front door, followed by Gabriel, who looked as tired as a puppy.
Gabriel stood with his back bent, his hands on his knees, breathing heavily, his short hair damp.
“You woke up early?”
Paige looked at them with some surprise.
“Well, morning run.”
Enrico’s face was completely free of sweat, and this amount of exercise was really nothing for him.
He took off the sneakers on his feet and looked at her with a pair of calm eyes, with his usual mockery, “Did you sleep comfortably on the sofa?”
“Don’t you know if I’m comfortable or not?”
Paige said, and he did treat himself badly everywhere. The mattress was just the right firmness, and the quilt was so soft like a cloud that it completely wrapped her up and was very comfortable.
“How would I know? I don’t sleep on the sofa, only the wrong person does,” Enrico snorted without changing his expression.
“…”
If Paige didn’t have so much intelligence, seeing him like this, she would really think that he had done something last night in her dreams.
Enrico turned around, took a look at the stopwatch on Gabriel’s wrist, then lifted him up by his shirt, saying, “I’ll let him take a shower before breakfast.”
“Okay, but it’s best to wait until he stops sweating before you shower him,” Paige said. “I’ll go home and get him some clothes.”
“Mm-hm,”
Enrico nodded, not even glancing at him once, and carried the limp Gabriel away.
Half an hour later, the family sat down to eat at the table.
Gabriel has never been a good eater. He never eats much and used to need to be fed. But today, he was a changed man. He grabbed the bowl and gulped down the congee, and devoured the fried egg in a few bites. He was eating so fast that it was obvious he was exhausted from the morning run.
“Eat slowly,” Paige said, watching him.
“I’m so hungry!”
Gabriel muttered, continuing to slurp up the congee. He now realized that morning jogs were much too gentle for what his mother had said. His mother would wait for him, but his father would not. Not only that, he would take him out for a run on the road, saying that his speed was not good enough, and they would just keep running and running.
He almost threw up from running.
Paige knew that Enrico had the habit of running to stay fit, so she didn’t ask any more. She put down the spoon in her hand and looked at Enrico, “I heard that there is a flower show today, let’s go watch it?”
On hearing this, Enrico looked up and gave her a wistful glance, “You still have time to go to a flower show? You haven’t prepared a gift?”
“I did prepare one, but you didn’t like it,” she said.
“Then you should prepare a new one.”
Enrico finished eating, put down the cutlery, leaned back, and stared at her with deep eyes, “Paige, I don’t have a lot of patience, and I won’t give you much time. Three days. If you can’t come up with a decent gift in three days, you’ll be responsible for the consequences.”
“What consequences?” Paige asked, looking at him.
“You’ll have to work harder to find me.”
“…”
He still wants to run away?
Paige really wanted to flip the table, her fingers clenching the spoon, and she couldn’t help but grit her teeth, “Enrico, don’t torment me, okay?”
Can’t they just have a good time together? Why does he have to put on airs and despise her?
“Do you call this torturing you? Which of my gifts have I given you half-heartedly?” Enrico asked with a cold face.
“You…”
Paige wanted to argue back, but when she thought about it, he had given her his mother’s jewelry and a sports car he had designed himself. Compared to that, the ties and belts she had bought did seem a bit half-hearted.
She lost the battle again, “Why don’t you just tell me what you want?”
Enrico stood up from the table, placed one hand on the table in front of her, leaned slowly down, and his handsome face came right in front of her eyes. His eyes were as dark as the silent night. He lifted the corner of his thin lips and said cruelly, “I’m not going to tell you!”
“…”
Paige was silent.
“Three days, I’ll give you three days. The little guy stays with me, and you just find a gift.”
Enrico generously eased her burden.
