“You dare kill us, Sundown Valley will never let you go…” Elliott Bennett shouted as he sensed the danger behind him.
Before he could finish, a flash of the blade turned his soul into nothingness.
On the other side, Cohen Bennett’s soul was also absorbed by the Dark Puppet.
Carleigh Meza and Elder Davin both gasped in astonishment.
Soon after, Billy put away the Dark Puppet and landed in the Drunken Vista courtyard with Carleigh Meza and Elder Davin. The people from Sundown Valley had already scattered in all directions.
“Mr. Billy, you truly are the Eternal Prodigy, I am impressed!” Elder Davin couldn’t help but praise Billy.
“Elder Davin, you flatter me,” Billy responded with a faint smile.
“Thank you, Mr. Billy!” Carleigh Meza bowed as she spoke.
If it weren’t for Billy today, Drunken Vista would have faced a difficult situation.
Although Drunken Vista had other trump cards, the cost would have been too high. Hence, she sincerely thanked Billy.
“Carleigh, you’re welcome. It was a small effort,” Billy replied and then asked, “Carleigh, do you really know Miss Sanaa’s whereabouts?”
“Yes,” Carleigh Meza nodded. “Three days ago, someone saw her in Shadowfen City.”
“Shadowfen City?” Billy was puzzled. “What kind of place is that?”
“Shadowfen City is the second-largest city in the Abyssal Depths, second only to Abyssal City itself. It’s quite a distance from Abyssal City,” Carleigh Meza explained.
“Is there anything special about Shadowfen City?” Billy continued to ask.
He believed that Sanaa must have had a reason for coming to the Abyssal Depths; she wouldn’t wander aimlessly.
“Special?” Carleigh Meza paused before responding. “Not particularly. It’s not much different from Abyssal City…”
She stopped mid-sentence, her expression changing slightly. “If there’s anything special, it’s that Abyssal City isn’t far from Shadowfen Depths.”
“Shadowfen Depths?” Billy asked. “What kind of place is that?”
From Carleigh Meza’s expression, he could tell it wasn’t an ordinary place.
“It’s said to be the former stronghold of the Nightshade Clan,” Carleigh Meza explained further. “But that’s just a legend because very few people have ever seen the Nightshade Clan. At least, I’ve never heard of anyone interacting with them.”
“Nightshade Clan?” Billy was taken aback again.
“Yes,” Carleigh Meza nodded and explained. “Information about the Nightshade Clan is mostly legendary and not very credible.”
“It’s said that the Nightshade Clan were the original inhabitants of the Abyssal Depths and were once the absolute rulers of this star domain.”
“Later, for unknown reasons, the Nightshade Clan declined, leading to the rise of other forces like the Abyssal Tribe and Dark Court.”
“Is that so?” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“Yes,” Carleigh Meza nodded again. “There’s very little information about the Nightshade Clan outside, almost none.”
“I understand,” Billy nodded. “Please tell me the location of Shadowfen City.”
“Alright,” Carleigh Meza responded and sent a stream of information into Billy’s mind.
After a brief pause, she continued, “Mr. Billy, according to reports from our people, at least four or five forces are heading towards Abyssal City.”
“They are likely coming for you under Dark Court’s instigation. If you plan to go to Shadowfen City, please be careful.”
After speaking, she took out a medicine box from her storage ring and handed it to Billy.
“Mr. Billy, this box contains a few High-Tier Spirit Earth Pills which might be useful to you. Please accept them.”
“Thank you, Carleigh!” Billy put the medicine box into his storage ring.
Then he took out two bottles from his storage ring and handed them to Carleigh Meza. “Carleigh, these contain soul water. Keep them for emergencies.”
“Soul water?!” Carleigh Meza and Elder Davin were both visibly surprised.
They knew very well what soul water was!
It was an extremely rare treasure found only in Deadland within the entire eighth-tier star domain!
And Deadland wasn’t a place just anyone could go to. Even though many knew about the treasures in Deadland, few dared to seek them out.
“Mr. Billy, have you been to Deadland?” Elder Davin asked.
“Yes,” Billy nodded. “I returned from Deadland half a month ago.”
“Mr. Billy, you never cease to amaze!” Carleigh Meza exclaimed and then pointed to the two bottles of soul water. “Mr. Billy, two bottles are too much. One will suffice…”
“Take them both,” Billy interrupted her. “I have plenty more. If you run out, I’ll give you more next time.”
Such a precious item seemed as ordinary as regular medicine to Billy.
Mr. Billy, did you take all of Deadland’s soul water?
After chatting for a bit more, Billy flew towards a teleportation passage outside the city.
His next stop was naturally Shadowfen City.
From what Carleigh Meza had said earlier, he had a hunch that Sanaa went to Shadowfen City likely because of the Nightshade Clan.
However, he couldn’t figure out the exact reason yet.
The distance between Shadowfen City and Abyssal City was indeed considerable. It took Billy several days to emerge from the teleportation passage.
According to the information provided by Carleigh Meza, there was still some distance to Shadowfen City. With his current teleportation speed, it would take him another dozen hours to reach Shadowfen City.
After exiting the teleportation passage, Billy didn’t head directly to Shadowfen City but found a place to stop and entered the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
He then took a High-Tier Spirit Earth Pill and began refining it!
As expected, with the help of the High-Tier Spirit Earth Pill, he smoothly broke through from half-step seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm to fully entering it.
Now, when he activated his bloodline power, his cultivation could reach half-step Mystic Kun Realm!
Three or four hours later, Billy emerged from the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space and continued flying towards Abyssal City.
“Billy, someone is coming!” Purple Spirit’s voice sounded in Billy’s mind shortly after he started flying again. “And there are quite a few of them!”
“They’re quick,” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Clearly, these were the people Carleigh Meza had mentioned earlier who were instigated by Dark Court!
Soon after, several powerful auras swept through the sky as multiple groups of people arrived one after another.
Billy roughly estimated that there were about a hundred people in total, with one-third being Mystic Kun Realm cultivators.
The high-end combat power included an old man in black at seventh-rank Mystic Kun Realm and three sixth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivators along with two fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivators.
“You must be Billy?” A fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivator looked at Billy and spoke.
“What do you want?” Billy replied calmly.
“You should know why we’re here,” the fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivator continued. “Hand over Nine Dragons Cauldron and Heaven Book, and we might spare your life.”
“And if I don’t?” Billy asked.
“Easy. We’ll kill you and take them ourselves,” another fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivator responded.
“The Dark Court doesn’t dare show themselves and sends you as cannon fodder?” Billy glanced at them.
“Haven’t you thought that even if you get Nine Dragons Cauldron and Heaven Book, it won’t benefit you?”
“That’s none of your concern!” The fifth-rank cultivator responded. “You better decide quickly; we don’t have time to waste on you!”
“So there’s no room for negotiation?” Billy asked again.
