Book:Never Come Back To Him Published:2024-12-11

Ansel was enjoying a candlelight dinner with Susie in a western restaurant . When he saw the message, his face darkened.
Susie saw the man’s face suddenly sank, and asked cautiously: “What’s wrong?”
Ansel held his breath and said nothing.
He swiped open his phone and replied: [It has nothing to do with me.]
Clyde looked at the chat interface, his lips curled up with a meaningful expression:
[It seems like you and Myrna really broke up this time?]
Ansel glanced at it, gritted his teeth secretly, and sent a text that was calm and calm:
[Hmm, do you have any opinion?]
Clyde : [No, I don?? t have any objection]
It also comes with an emoticon of hands raised in surrender.
Clyde : [If someone else pursues Myrna , you wouldn’t mind, right?]
Blithe suddenly jumped out: [What, you want to chase her? ]
Clyde’s eyes darkened slightly, and he replied with a GIF: [hmm gif]
Gavin [hahahaha]
Blithe : [You are amazing]
No one really believes it.
Ansel didn’t care when he saw the emoji, and typed a reply: [Okay, then you can chase me.]
Having achieved his goal, Clyde put away his phone.
He just don’t know if Ansel will regret it in the future.
“Baby, thank you for spending the happiest birthday with me.”
At nine o’clock in the evening, Ansel sent Susie to the dormitory building.
The girl held his hand, reluctant to leave.
“When I think about parting with you soon, I feel so sad.” She smiled, showing her two little canine teeth, and put her mouth close to his eyes, pouting jokingly, “Why are you so calm? You won’t feel sad to leave me, right?”
The girl has clear eyes, a sweet smile, and a coquettish voice, like a gentle breeze that makes people feel itchy.
Ansel’s eyes moved slightly, looking at the girl’s upturned face, and he reached out to rub her head: “You still have classes tomorrow, you’ve been tired all day, go back and rest early.”
Susie pursed her lips, a flash of disappointment flashed across her eyes, and finally she responded obediently: “Okay, then I’ll go back first.”
This delay lasted half an hour.
Driving out of the Polytechnic University, the left side was the direction of home. Suddenly , the photo of Clyde ‘s back flashed through his mind. Ansel turned the steering wheel as if possessed, and drove straight to the right.
Halfway through the journey, a light drizzle began to fall, water droplets condensed on the glass windows, and the red, green and yellow lights blurred into a colorful patch.
In the rearview mirror, a cashmere checkered blanket was thrown on the back seat. It must have been used by Susie just now , but she forgot to put it away when she got out of the car.
Ansel suddenly remembered that Myrna used to complain that the air conditioner in his car was set too low and it was very cold when she sat in it.
After complaining several times to no avail, I took him to the mall and bought him a light brown checkered blanket.
After the two broke up, the blanket was neatly placed in the back seat and never used, until today, when it was opened again.
“Honk–”
The sudden sound of a horn brought him back to his senses. The red light turned green and he stepped on the accelerator and rushed out.
Arriving at the bar, he threw the key to the bartender and walked through the first floor as if he knew the place well.
He is a regular customer, and the manager came to greet him as soon as possible.
” Where’s Clyde ?”
” Mr. Effie and the others are all in the second-floor box.”
Ignoring the manager’s courtesy, Ansel went straight up to the second floor.
Inside the box????
The few people who gathered together drank a lot, staggered, and spoke incoherently.
Ansel came in and took a quick look. Myrna was not there, but Clyde was still sober.
“Why are you here?” Clyde looked surprised. “Aren’t you here with your girlfriend?”
“I just sent someone back to school.” He replied lightly, then found a place to sit down.
Clyde didn’t ask any more questions, and raised his lips: “Just opened Burgundy , want a glass?”
As he said that, he poured half a cup and handed it over.
Ansel took it and sipped it: “Not bad.”
After a pause, he asked casually, “Didn’t you just say Myrna was there too? Why can’t I see her?”
“You didn’t come here just to see her, did you?” Clyde shook the wine glass with a half-smile.
“Heh,” Ansel ‘s expression faded a little, “I just happened to come over for a drink. Since we met, is it illegal to ask?”
Clyde shrugged. “We met in the hallway. He just came for a drink. He should have gone home by now, right?”
Ansel didn’t say anything, but his expression was obviously much more relaxed.
Sure enough, Myrna is not used to this environment…
Putting down his glass, he stood up and said, “I have to go to work tomorrow, so I’m leaving now. This game today will be charged to my account.”
Clyde looked at his leaving back, his eyes slightly deepened.
After a while, he sighed and said, “I’m sorry, .”
The two of them stayed in the box for less than an hour, and Joanna fell asleep unconscious because she drank half a bottle of wine.
Myrna was also drunk and unable to drive, so she finally called a designated driver to drop him off at her apartment, and then she took a taxi downstairs back to her rental house.
It started to rain heavily halfway through the journey and it was too late, so the taxi was only willing to take her to the entrance of the alley.
Myrna didn’t bring an umbrella, and the heavy rain wasn’t sure when it would stop, so she planned to run back in the rain.
” Myrna???? ”
A clear voice came from behind, stopping her in her tracks. Turning back, she saw Dempsey walking towards her in the rain and fog with an umbrella.
“Are you planning to run back in the rain?”
He didn’t wear a shirt today and changed into a slightly casual outfit, which made him look less serious than usual.
Myrna nodded hesitantly. That was indeed what she planned.
“This umbrella is for you.” The man forced the umbrella into her hands.
Myrna frowned: “What about you?”
In fact, she wanted to say that it would be okay for the two of them to squeeze in.
“I’ll go borrow one from the store.” After saying that, he ran to the stir-fry restaurant across the street and asked the owner to borrow a retractable umbrella.
Myrna blinked. The owner of this shop had a weird temper and even ignored customers. How did he manage to borrow the money?
“There was some problem with the electrical circuit in his house before, and I passed by and helped to solve it.” Dempsey didn’t want to explain further. Seeing that the rain had subsided a bit, he opened his umbrella and walked into the rain.
Myrna stared at his back for two seconds before following him.
In the old neighborhood, the street lights were dim to begin with, and even dimmer because of the rain.
There was a sudden flash of lightning in the sky, and the big trees were rustling in the strong wind. Myrna tightened her grip on the umbrella handle and quickened her pace.
The two walked through the alleyway in the pouring rain, one after the other. Myrna found that the distance between her and Dempsey was always kept at two or three meters, not too far, nor too close.
Is he… knowing that I’m scared, so he deliberately slows down his pace?
At this moment, the man who had been walking forward suddenly turned back and asked: “What’s wrong?”
She was stunned for a moment, “It’s okay.”
“Can you keep up?”
“Um.”
It was raining so heavily that when Myrna got home, her trouser legs were so wet that water could be wrung out of them.
She quickly took off her wet clothes, took a hot bath, changed into pajamas, and bought a packet of antiviral granules for fear of catching a cold.
As she drank the bitter medicine, Myrna couldn’t help but think of the man holding an umbrella. His back was tall and broad, as if he could make people feel at ease just by looking at him.
