Eloive was quick.
He had sensed another presence in the room, disentangled himself from Toreh and covered her with the duvet but it was too late.
Waxlyn had already seen.
He quickly staked towards her in long strides, preventing Waxlyn from getting a closer look. He should have just locked the door.
“Eloive, is that a girl on your bed?”, Waxlyn asked as she stood on her toes, trying to peek over his shoulder but the lad was so tall!
“If it is, what does it matter to you?”, Eloive asked angrily. He wasn’t even allowed privacy in his own palace!
Waxlyn’s eyes lit up. “So, you do have a girl in your room and on your bed! Grandma must hear this!”, Waxlyn exclaimed, dashing for the door. But Eloive was faster. He bounded her in his arms and shoved her away from the door, shutting it.
“You…”, he began, catching his breath. “You won’t tell grandma anything!”
“And why not? You were with a girl Eloive, and from what I perceive, she’s human too. Don’t tell me you were snogging a maid!”
Eloive swore inwardly as he blocked Waxlyn from going to his bed.
“Good heavens Waxlyn! I wasn’t snogging a maid! And what do you even know about snogging?”
“Enough to know that it can lead to unwanted pregnancies! If you weren’t snogging a maid, then who is that female on your bed?”, she asked again, trying to sidestep him. He blocked her every move. The last thing he needed was her to know about Toreh. She was his personal secret and he wanted it to remain that way.
“Her identity is none of your business Waxlyn. Now get out of my room!”
She glared at him. “Fine, but I’m telling ma!”, she yelled, turning on her heel.
Eloive held onto her wrist to prevent her from leaving.
“You… you can’t tell grandmother about this Waxlyn.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Why not? Eloive, you were trying to get a girl pregnant!”
He cursed again. “I wasn’t…”, he paused just as an image of Toreh, round with his child crossed his mind. He shook his head, trying to get it out of his head. Bad thoughts! Bad thoughts!”
“I wasn’t trying to get anyone pregnant Waxlyn. You just can’t tell grandmother.”
“Fine, but my silence is not for free Eloive.”
“I don’t have any money Waxlyn.”
She frowned. “Silly of you to be thinking I want your money! I’ve got enough to keep me going for the next hundred years!”
Eloive rolled his eyes. “If you don’t want money, then what do you want?”
“I want to see her face!”
“Her who?”
“The girl you were snogging!”
“I wasn’t…. No. You can’t see her face.”
“Please? Pretty please?”
“Can you guys keep your voices down? Someone’s trying to get some sleep,” Yale announced as he strolled into Eloive’s room. Eloive cursed. All he wanted was privacy in his fucking palace! Is that too much to ask?”
“We’re not shouting Yale. I’m just trying to figure out the girl on Eloive’s bed,” Waxlyn defended.
“Way to go Waxlyn”, Eloive murmured. “What happened to not telling everyone?”
“You didn’t say everyone. You said grandmother and Yale is not grandmother,” Waxlyn blurted.
“What nonsense are you blabbing now Waxlyn? I swear all you ever do is talk,” Yale commented, stretching his arms. He was so tired but his siblings’ noise was making it hard for him to get any rest.
“I’m not talking nonsense Yale. Eloive does has a girl in his room and on his bed!”, she yelled.
“Does he now?”
“Yes! Come let’s check.”
Eloive watched in disdain as his younger siblings walked over to his bed. Waxlyn threw off the covers and Eloive nearly burst out laughing when he saw the set of pillows in Toreh’s place. Waxlyn stepped back, dumbfounded.
Yale snorted. “So, where’s the girl?”
“She… she was… she was here I swear”.
“Stop swearing,” Eloive said. “I told you that there wasn’t any girl yet you refused to believe me.”
Waxlyn was red with embarrassment. “There was!”, she cried out. “Eloive, stop lying!”
“Why would he lie?”, Yale barked. “I told you that you are so full of nothing but lies. I’m outta here.” Yale said, walking out.
Waxlyn looked close to tears as she turned to Eloive. “You, you liar! I’m telling Ma!”, she cried and stormed out.
Eloive rolled his eyes as he turned the lock of his door. Now that they were gone, he’d just have to find out where Toreh had gone.
“Toreh?”, he asked, looking around. “Toreh?”
“Over here,” she whispered.
He turned around and was shocked to find her wedged between his wardrobe and the wall.
“You’re a genius you know,” he stated with glee.
“Compliment me later. Now just get me out of here.”
He raised a brow. “How did you get in there then if you can’t get out?”
“Eloive!”, she shrieked.
“Fine.” He took her hand and using all the strength he could muster; he pulled her out. Toreh knocked into him and he went crashing into the ground. Toreh fell on him with a shout and they laid there, breathing hard.
“You know, I kind of like this position,” he said with a smirk.
She glared at him. “Of course, you will.” She tried to get up but their necklaces were hooked together, making it kind of hard for her to move away.
“This is the second time this shit is happening,” Toreh said angrily as she tried to undo the knot.
“Maybe it means something,” Eloive said. Toreh rolled her eyes as she tried to undo the knot but kept failing.
“Leave it. Let me do it,” he said breathy. He wished she would stop moving. It was making it hard for him to concentrate with her rubbing against his groin.
Toreh obliged and watched him undo it. He was successful in his operation but Toreh did not get up.
“I like your lips,” she said quietly, brushing his bottom lip with her thumb. Eloive hitched a breath. Just when he has promised to only be friends, she goes ahead to compliment him.
“I like yours too,” he whispered, breath heavy.
“Your teeth is not very clean,” Toreh commented, slipping a finger into his mouth touching his teeth. Sweat rolled down Eloive’s back. He was resisting the urge to suck her finger. Before he could act on it, Toreh withdrew her hand.
“Not all teeth can be white Toreh. Plus, why are we talking about teeth again? I thought we were discussing you kissing me?”
Toreh laughed. He loved the sound.
“Are you certain we’re friends?”
He frowned, wondering why she was asking that even after they had concluded that they were friends.
“Sure, why do you ask?”
“Friends don’t know the taste of each other’s lips Eloive,” she said with all seriousness.
He smirked. “So, you know how I taste? Go on, tell me.”
She was red and reminded him of a tomato. He nudged her again with his arm. “Go on cupcake. Don’t be shy.”
“You called me cupcake,” she said narrowing her eyes. “Slaves are not entitled to endearments Eloive.”
He didn’t care. “Toreh, you’re no longer a slave but a friend, my friend. And I could care less about your status. You’re a human being cupcake. We all are.”
Eyes heavy with motion, she kissed him. Eloive recovered from the shock of it, kissing her back. She tasted like cupcakes. He pushed his tongue gently into her mouth, pulling softly at her hair. She didn’t push him away, surrendering to kiss, surrendering to him.
And there was nothing royals loved more than a submissive subject.
His hands wandered down, resting on her ass. Toreh gasped and he used that opportunity to lick the roof of her mouth. He gave her a gentle squeeze and she shifted uncomfortably on his lap. He groaned into her mouth before softly pulling away.
He loved the exasperated look on her face. The flushed cheeks and dilated pupils expressing how pleased she was. He was happy that he still had the ability to please someone.
“There…Something keeps poking me. Maybe there’s a needle in your pocket.”
Eloive laughed. She really was pure and innocent. “It’s not a needle Toreh.”
“Then what is it?”
“I’m not going to tell you anything. I don’t want to taint you.”
“Taint me? You know what? Fine, don’t tell me,” she said angrily, rising to her feet. Eloive mewled at lost contact. He quickly rose so that Toreh won’t see his boner. She smoothed out her work clothes.
“I best be going now, before my sister realizes that I’m missing.”
“It’s late,” Eloive growled.
“I have to go.”
“It’s one a. m. Toreh. You might get caught or hurt.”
“I’ll be fine Eloive.”
“Spend the night here,” he said calmly. “With me,” he added.
“I’d love to, but it is too dangerous. What if someone comes in when we are asleep?”
“They won’t. I promise.”
“I want to but it’s simply horrendous to sleep with a prince.”
He choked. “I…it will be fine sweetheart. We will be fine. Now come.” He led her towards his bed. They laid down together on the bed, but Toreh stayed to the far end, sett
ing pillows between them.
“There. Now we won’t be in each other’s space.”
“You’re being ridiculous.”
“No, I’m not. It’s bad enough that we’ll be sleeping in the same bed so to avoid worsening the situation, I have set up this barrier between us.”
He snorted. “I’ll crush every barrier separating me from you.”
She rolled her eyes. “Just don’t crush this one,” she said then closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep.
Eloive waited until she was out like she was out like a light before throwing the pillows to the far end of his room, pulled her closer to him. She smuggled into him, buried her face in the crook of his neck, her steady intake of breath tickling his skin.
For her sake, Eloive left his clothes on.
