“What do you want?” Rafael hissed, staying put at the door.
June bit her lips in anger at his tone. Just when she wanted to put the man firmly in his place, she remembered her mother-in-law who was standing a few feet from her, with an expectant look on her face.
Instead, she pushed up the tray into his eyesight without speaking a word. Rafael’s eyes narrowed, “What is this?”
“If you could step aside and let me drop it.” She gritted, sending him a mean look that had him stepping aside.
“I have a lot to do and I don’t remember asking for anything.” He deadpanned. “If that is all then you can leave.”
“Drink it.” June took a seat on the couch after dropping the tray. “I will be out of your hair and back in my bed once you finish.”
“Did my mother put you up to this?”
June rolled her eyes, “Takes a genius to figure that out. Now drink the darned tea so I can get out of your hair and get my beauty sleep.”
“I already told you she cannot make you do anything you don’t want to.” Rafael reiterated. “Besides, I don’t eat so late at night. You can go tell that to her – Oh yeah, she already knew that.”
June did not appreciate the tone of her husband. He didn’t get to sound like he was the victim when she had her name written all over that position.
She was the one who had to give up her beauty sleep to serve him something he wasn’t going to drink and couldn’t leave until he had drunk the tea.
“Well, maybe you should make an exemption for tonight.” She said, gesturing to the tea tray. “Have a drink.”
“No.”
One short answer that was delivered in such a way that she wanted to pull her hair out in frustration. “You don’t just get to say no, Rafael.” She gritted, “You put me in this situation so it’s only fair that you break one of your rules too and play along.”
“I already said you don’t have to do anything,” Rafael spoke with his eyes on the computer, his attention taken away as he typed furiously on his laptop.
“Of course, I have to! There is no way I am becoming a bad daughter-in-law again, not when my new mother-in-law is this nice.” She blurted, only realising what she had said afterwards.
“Since you are so eager to please my mother, maybe you should drink it.”
June contemplated it for a minute, then shook her head, “And lie to her? No, thank you. Besides, this tea is supposed to make you sleep better. You should appreciate the gesture and drink it with joy in your heart.”
“You are my wife. Why can’t you drink it in my stead?”
June fought the blush that threatened to break on her lips, “I am not your wife. At least not for long.”
“Exactly why you shouldn’t care too much about my mother.” Rafael’s tone carried a bite to it. June looked up at him but his eyes remained on his laptop as he typed away. She didn’t know how to feel about it.
Finally, she succumbed. “Fine! I need some sleep anyway!”
June reached for the cup that was warm, taking a whiff of its content before taking a large gulp of the drink. Before she could finish the tea, Rafael appeared in front of her and dragged the cup from her hands.
“What is wrong with you?!” June raised her voice at the sudden interruption.
Rafael didn’t care, he sniffed the cup and an alarmed look briefly passed his face. He couldn’t believe it. He took another whiff of the tea and this time, he was certain his suspicions were right.
“What are you doing?” June asked when she noticed his actions. “If you are not going to drink it then let me-”
Before the words were out of her mouth, Rafael drank the remnant of the tea and dropped the cup, taking her by surprise. “Take the cup and leave.”
June scoffed, “If you wanted the tea then you should have said so! It was for you anyway, no need-”
Suddenly, the room felt hot, June flickered her hand, wondering why she suddenly felt hot, especially between the legs. “Did the air conditioning go off or something?”
Recognising the pattern, Rafael cursed under his breath. His mother was such a crook. June needed to return to her room before things took a drastic turn.
“Leave. Now.” He gritted, feeling heat assault him slowly.
June was having a hard time understanding what was going on. Her body suddenly changed and all she could think of was having someone invade her intimacy and assault her in the sweetest ways.
She couldn’t understand why she suddenly couldn’t stop the ache and need that flooded her system, making her crazy with need. It didn’t help that Rafael was also right there, looking annoying and perfect for the job.
She needed to leave!
June rushed to the door, abandoning the tray with a speed she had never known before. She tried to open the door, but there was no such luck. The door seemed to be jammed, and refusing to open.
She turned to Rafael. “The door won’t budge.” She could barely hide the need and sorrow in her voice. Any moment now without contact, she could combust.
Rafael wordlessly made his way to the door, trying to open it but to no avail. His fingerprint was rejected, alongside his card. It seemed like someone had locked them in on purpose!
Just when he moved to get his phone, the duo heard the light excited laugh of his mother behind the door. “Don’t be scared, and have a nice night together! I will be back to open in the morning!”
Mrs Beatrice skipped happily down the hallways, glad to have succeded in her plans. With the love potion, it was only a matter of time before her son would ravage his wife as he ought to.
She was sure it was her son’s idea to have her lovely daughter-in-law at arm’s length. This way, they would become closer and if she was lucky, grant her a second grandchild as a bonus.
Now, all she had to do was wait and trust that her son would not hold back. She had doused a large quantity of the substance in the water used to make that tea, hoping that even a sip would stimulate the recipient enough they could not bear it.
Meanwhile, inside the office, June was losing her mind. “Did mother do this? Did she lock the door? Ah, how do I leave here?”
She spoke, pacing around as she tried to clear her head. Her body was on fire and all she could think of was pressing her husband to the wall and having her wicked way with him.
The fire that burned inside of her could not be satiated even if they went all night long. She was so certain it hurt. The ache grew by the second and soon, she was rubbing her thighs together, expertly trying to alleviate the situation but it was like pouring water on a rock.
“You have to calm down,” Rafael said in a gruff tone, his head resting on the door. “The drug would only last for a few hours. We just need to make it through a few hours.”
“Drug?” June halted her steps, “What drug are you talking about? Why would you thin-” Her eyes widened when she saw the strained look on his face and his posture.
It couldn’t be. She turned to the cup and walked purposefully towards it, picking it up and examining it. When she saw a barely melted familiar-looking substance at the end of the cup, she nearly lost her sanity.
They had been doused with Viagra! She turned to Rafael with wide eyes. She was not the only one suffering. Was that why he refused to drink the tea? Did he know his mother was up to this?
“You!” She stormed towards him, “Did you know about this and watch me drink it?!”
Her tone was accusing. Rafael felt hot and his erection was painfully obvious. With one hand, he dragged her to himself, letting her feel the erection in his pants.
“Do you think I would have drunk it if I knew for sure?” His breath was minty and the feel of him was heaven to June, but it wasn’t enough. She needed more, she needed much more than this novelty.
“You tell me,” She gritted, breathing harshly. “Why would your mother put that in your drink? Did you put her up to this? Was this a plan?”
“I should ask you the same question. You show up here, barely dressed and carrying a tea doused with drugs, we drink it and miraculously end up locked in.” He held her tighter, “Do you think I am a fool or are you that desperate to sleep with me?”
