June made her way round the doctor’s with a formidable look on her face. Her mood was ruined by her run-in with her sister in the lobby.
Thankfully, the tests didn’t take much time as she only needed to get some blood drawn and a few other things that were easily rectified.
Ready to leave, June stepped out of the doctor’s office, a doctor she soon found was the Ambrose Family personal doctor who had been briefed on exactly what he was to run on her.
As though once wasn’t enough, April was seated right outside the door, waiting for her to come outside. Unable to stomach another outburst with her, June decided to make her way out of the place, only for her to be followed by April, who dragged her into a dark storage room by the hallway and shut the door.
As soon as they were out of prying eyes, April’s countenance changed from the lovely younger sister act she displayed in the lobby.
“What did you come to do? To check if our claims were right? Are you looking for evidence that you are not the barren which I know you to be?” She snarled and it took everything to stop June from hitting her in the face.
Nevertheless, she played to her tune. “What? Are you scared that I would show the world what a lying and cheating couple you both are?”
April did not look threatened, instead, she broke out in a short laughing fit. “You think you are smart, aren’t you sister?” She smirked.
“Do you think I would say something I don’t have proof of? Do you think you are a woman capable of giving birth to children?” Her voice raised as her hold tightened around June’s wrist.
“I took care of that a long time ago, sister. With the drugs I have been slipping into your food since you came back to take what was mine, it’s no surprise that your womb is unable to bear children.”
June felt like a douse of cold water was poured upon her.
“W-what?” She stammered,
“Yes, sister.” April wore the look of the devil incarnate. “I made sure you were unable to carry a child in that barren womb of yours. Can you imagine how terrible it would be if you got Ethan hooked with a child? How then would I be able to make my way into the Lontoc household? How then will I have all of Ethan’s shares in my name?”
A devilish cackle. “You know, I have been waiting all my life to see you crash and burn. To take everything you have and watch you die. But it is clear that even Mother has failed in her job to get rid of you.”
“You were in on it too.” June muttered, “You both tried to kill me.”
“Trust me, it was all mother. I for one never miss an opportunity. I carry out every single one of my missions perfectly. Just like I will do when you die in this storage room, no one will notice a thing.”
Before June could make sense of her words, April pulled out a knife and shoved it countlessly at her stomach, leaving a lot of damage as blood poured out.
June’s eyes were unnaturally widened as she slumped to the floor, her mouth shivering April wore a victorious look on her face.
“See you in hell, sister. Don’t worry, I will take care of Ethan and the Rivera business. The world will forget you and everything will be fine.”
April pulled out a white tissue and cleaned the blood off her knife and hand. “My men will be here soon to dispose of your dead body.” She whispered, “You will be reported as a heroin addict who committed suicide by tomorrow.”
With that, April stepped out of the room, shut the door and locked it firmly. Her men would be here shortly and they would clean up the situation.
Happy to have settled that, April walked with a smile and a tilt to her steps. She was going to take everything. This was only her first step. In the time coming, she would take the Rivera business and the Lontoc group, one step at a time.
She would become a formidable queen in the City, respected and feared for her influence and powers. The Rivera and Lontoc family were only the first stop to her mission.
Meanwhile, June who was in a near-death condition crawled to the door, breathing heavily as she paled from the intense loss of blood and pain. She couldn’t die like this.
She needed to have her revenge.
However, there was nothing she could do because she was locked in, she couldn’t even speak as a result of the pain she felt in her stomach.
Breathing became hard and the last thing she thought before it all went black was how she would have lived a useless life if she died in this dark storage room.
A few minutes passed and Luis got impatient in the car. His auntie was supposed to be back by now. Why was she not yet outside?
“Open the door, let’s meet Auntie inside.” The little boy said in an aloof tone, not minding he was talking to a man ten times his size and age.
“Yes sir!” The guard stated, knowing enough of the little boss to know it was never a good idea to get on his bad side.
Together with his guard, Luis stepped into the familiar grounds of the hospital like a king. Dressed in a shirt and plain trousers, he commanded attention with his striking features and the man behind him.
When he got to the lobby, he asked. “Reservation for Mr Ambrose.”
No one answered, seeing he was too small to be seen by the nurse behind the counter. His face turned soar as he beckoned on his guard to lift him a bit.
“What do you want sir?” The nurse seated behind the place finally acknowledged the presence of his guard who suddenly carried a child that looked like he was seconds away from throwing a tantrum.
A smile made its way to the older woman’s face when she saw the cute little boy’s pout. “Is he your child?” She made to touch him, “A pretty little-”
“Take me to Doctor Carson!” The young boy snapped, slightly avoiding her hands.
Startled at his attitude, she looked at the man who accompanied him and he sported a pleading look. The last thing he wanted was to get into trouble involving the little boss.
“Reservation for Mr Ambrose?” He said instead.
The man crunched her brows and took a look at her computer, “The reservation has been taken.”
“Please direct us to the office.” The guard spoke before Luis could unleash his anger.
Soon enough, they were on their way, headed to the doctor’s office to meet with June. Things took a drastic turn when the doctor met them at the hallway corridors.
“Luis!” The family doctor called fondly. “You have grown so big!” He tried to ruffle the little one’s hair but was met with a glare so hard he pulled back his hand.
The little one had always had an aloof personality!
“Is there a problem?” He asked, looking around for his father.
“Where is Auntie?” Luis asked, his patience exhausted.
“Who is Auntie?”
A dark look from Luis had the doctor looking to the guard for help with the temperamental little child.
The guard made to speak but was cut short by a piercing scream coming from the far end of the hallway.
