Chapter 356: None Shall Harm My Woman

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2024-12-11

Kayden whirled around just in time to see a bullet spiraling through the air from a distant corner. It struck Boaz’s forehead with deadly precision, sending blood spraying through the air.
The shot caught Kayden off guard, leaving him momentarily stunned. The distance had been too great for him to intercept the bullet-had they been within five meters, that shot would never have reached its target.
As the bullet found its mark, a peaceful smile spread across Boaz’s face. At last, he found release-no more bone-eating agony. Death had become his sweetest salvation.
“Who is it?” Kayden’s fury erupted as his gaze locked onto a rooftop across the way. There, he spotted a black-clad figure lying prone atop the commercial building.
Despite the distance, Kayden’s vision was crystal clear. The assassin made no attempt to flee. Instead, he rose to his feet with casual indifference.
Their gazes met across the distance. Under Kayden’s watchful eye, the figure raised a hand in a mocking farewell. What followed was almost theatrical.
The assassin dropped his weapon and leaped from the rooftop. A thunderous crash followed, accompanied by a chorus of screams from below. From twenty floors up, one could imagine the scene without seeing it.
Kayden’s heart clenched. Madness-that organization had truly gone mad in their desperation to keep the fifteen-year-old secret buried!
“Defender! Who did this?” Greedy Wolf approached, having finished dispatching the others, gesturing to Boaz’s bullet-pierced corpse.
Kayden’s gaze remained fixed on the rooftop, his eyes blood-red, an all-too-familiar killing intent radiating from his body. The culprit was obvious-only Hellblazer would dare oppose him so brazenly.
Why? Why was it Hellblazer again? Could they be connected to his parents’ deaths as well? How many times had this organization moved against him? Why did they target him at every turn?
He would not let them escape. He would personally destroy this organization. They were his greatest humiliation-the most despicable opponent he’d faced since entering the battlefield at fifteen.
Through gritted teeth, he growled each word, “Hellblazer! This means war!”
His roar shook the very foundations of the Saint Dragon Business Association building.
Greedy Wolf watched the Defender of the South with awe in his eyes.
He knew-this was true rage, pure and unrestrained.
“Find out who that shooter was. Investigate everything about him. Everything!”
Greedy Wolf acknowledged the order with a crisp “Yes!” as Kayden strode from the Saint Dragon Business Association.
The Association’s reign had ended. After countless years of glory, today marked its final chapter.
Kayden’s destruction of them sent a clear message: anyone who dared harm Georgia would face the direst consequences.
In this world, none would be permitted to harm his woman!
Georgia sat in her office, life seemingly returned to its familiar rhythm.
No-that wasn’t quite right. Things could never truly go back to how they were. Before, no matter what she did at work, she could always see Kayden at home. Now, such moments had become precious and rare.
Kayden could no longer stay constantly by her side. He was no longer the same man he had been.
Still, she had grown accustomed to his absences. This time felt easier to bear than the last, when he’d vanished without warning. That time, she’d had no chance to prepare, lying awake nights waiting for his return.
Things were different now. She’d spoken those words to him, and they’d completed what husband and wife should. Their relationship had evolved, taken a leap forward. Now they were truly husband and wife in every sense.
It was a good omen, a promising sign for their future.
Perhaps they would have children someday, build a proper family! She was a woman with simple desires-no interest in being a queen, just wanting to live a genuine life.
Thinking about their intimate moment, she couldn’t help but plan their future together.
As she was lost in these thoughts, her fingers twirled absently.
“Ms. Adams! Ms. Adams!” A woman in white clothes and flesh-colored stockings called out repeatedly.
Georgia started with a small “Ah,” snapping back to reality. She looked up at Lara, who always dressed meticulously-light makeup, low-cut blouse under professional attire that drew eyes inevitably to her chest. She looked like an experienced woman. Though married, she had her own special methods of navigating the business world.
For women like her, the most direct approach was always the sexual matter. It was how she’d climbed to her current position. In this company, every superior she’d served under had some story with her.
Had Jamie taken over the company instead, Lara would have unhesitatingly initiated some romantic entanglement with him, preferably causing a scandal. Reputation meant nothing to her-with money and power, who cared about reputation?
This was Lara’s motto, the inner truth of career women like her.
This specialist in office romance instantly spotted the telling smile on Georgia’s face. Love-struck, she thought, and deliberately asked in a low voice, “Ms. Adams, is everything alright?”
Georgia quickly collected herself. “It’s nothing. Did you need something?”
Lara studied her boss, holding back her immediate response. Instead, she asked mysteriously, “Ms. Adams, you seem different lately. There’s a certain… womanly aura about you now. Quite intense, actually.”
The implication was crystal clear-Lara knew exactly what had happened.
Georgia’s face flushed red. “Nonsense,” she protested, blinking rapidly. “I’ve always been a woman.”
Lara chuckled knowingly. “Ms. Adams, you’ve never carried yourself quite like this before! They say a satisfied woman has a different air about her-seeing you today, I finally understand how true that is!”
