Chapter 679: Some Things Need to Be Said Openly

“I will definitely gather some allies in the future, but for now, I don’t have enough information. It’s not necessary yet,” Flynn said with a faint smile.
When Flynn was released from prison, the four kings of The Obsidian Realm had shown a willingness to follow him. However, at the time, Flynn didn’t understand the situation in Niarak and therefore didn’t agree.
But now, with confirmation that his mother had survived ten years ago, Flynn was considering calling upon the four kings.
Take, for example, The Raven King, who dominated the West. His martial prowess was terrifying, placing him in the top five of The Shadow Registry. He had single-handedly killed eighteen Greater Sovereigns. His mere presence caused nations to tremble.
Flynn wasn’t ready to summon him yet. He couldn’t imagine the chaos The Raven King would unleash upon arriving in Niarak. It would likely shake even the Ostrad Imperial Center.
As for Zion and the power lurking behind him, Flynn had plenty of methods to deal with them. Aside from The Raven King, Flynn also held “The Ebon Edict,” a token that could command hundreds of thousands of elite warriors from Shadowgod Temples across the globe.
What were a hundred Grandmasters compared to that? Even a few Greater Sovereigns didn’t matter.
With 300, 000 Grandmasters at his disposal, who among the heavens and earth would dare challenge him?
Flynn wasn’t short on allies. The issue now was that he lacked detailed information about the forces behind Zion. Once he had clarity, nothing would stop his wrath. If the Imperial Center tried to intervene, he’d summon every Grandmaster under his command and let them see the consequences.
Molly, unaware of Flynn’s thoughts, caught a glimmer of hope when he mentioned his lack of information.
She had no leads on the mastermind behind the massacre of the George family. The closest she had come was her encounter with the King of Poison. But her skills had been insufficient, and she had been easily overpowered, left unconscious outside the warehouse of Energence Pharmaceuticals. If Flynn hadn’t arrived in time, she would have died that night.
Molly desperately wanted to know what Flynn knew. Avenging her family was her greatest goal. But she also understood Flynn’s character-unless she became a Great Grandmaster, he wouldn’t reveal anything.
Determined, she vowed to work harder in the coming days, diligently learning Martial Arts under Flynn’s guidance. At the same time, she resolved to stay cautious and guard herself against Flynn’s flirtatious tendencies.
“Tomorrow, my family is hosting a banquet. I don’t think I should go,” Molly said quietly while eating her noodles.
Flynn smirked, his lips curling into a faintly mocking smile. “Afraid they’ll target you? Don’t worry. Since I’ve decided you should go, they won’t dare show up.”
“Why? Because they find me annoying?” Molly rolled her eyes. She hadn’t expected Flynn to be so blunt.
“I’ve said this before-you don’t owe them anything. There’s no need to feel guilty,” Flynn said.
“If those women want to vent their frustrations, let them. Ignore them. And if they dare target you again, just slap them in the face next time.”
Flynn finished his noodles and leaned lazily against the sofa.
“They’re still my sisters. How could I do something so aggressive to them?” Molly sighed, shaking her head. “If letting them vent makes them feel better, then I can endure a little discomfort.”
Flynn was speechless. He felt Molly was too kind-kind to the point of foolishness. Yet, strangely, whenever he tried to manipulate her, she always saw through his intentions. It was frustrating.
After dinner, Molly felt increasingly uncomfortable being alone with Flynn. The memory of the bathroom scene earlier made her restless. She stood up to leave.
Flynn tossed her the keys to his Porsche, telling her to drive herself home. He, on the other hand, went to take a shower.
Standing in the bathroom, Flynn noticed the yoga mat on the floor and the underwear hanging on the edge of the bathtub. He rubbed his nose awkwardly.
Things had gotten too intense that day. By the time they had collapsed from exhaustion, neither of them had bothered to clean up the “battlefield.”
Flynn scrubbed the yoga mat and threw the underwear into the trash before taking his shower.
Afterward, he went to his bedroom and lay down. Soon, a message from Rose lit up his phone. She asked him to pick her up the next morning at ten.
Great. She thinks I’m her personal driver now, Flynn thought with a sigh.
But Rose’s reasoning was sound. Tomorrow’s banquet would be full of stars and influential figures. Kendal Roy had invited high-profile guests from all walks of life. As one of the main attractions at the event, Rose couldn’t appear without making an impression.
Her BMW X5 wasn’t flashy enough. Naturally, she wanted to borrow Flynn’s Koenigsegg.
Reluctantly, Flynn agreed. After replying to Rose, he called Scarlet. He wanted to let her know that Molly had already returned home and to inform her about the banquet.
“Go ahead,” Scarlet said casually. “You and Ms. Sharp are the stars tomorrow. Don’t worry about me. I’ll go with Molly.”
After hanging up, Scarlet opened her jewelry box and began picking out accessories for the event.
Her collection wasn’t particularly impressive, mostly inexpensive pieces. The most valuable item was a $13, 000 Cartier watch her mother had given her for her birthday.
Now, however, nestled inside the box was a piece of jewelry worth a thousand times more-the Carlos Blue Diamond.
Valued at $17 million, the ten-carat diamond radiated a dazzling blue light, filling the room with its brilliance.
It was a gift from the Jewelry King himself.
“If Madeline had shown Flynn even a bit of kindness, this Carlos Blue Diamond would have been hers,” Scarlet murmured, slipping the ring onto her middle finger. She admired its beauty, then decided it would be her centerpiece for the banquet.
Some things are better said outright, she thought to herself.

The next morning, Flynn woke up and freshened up in the bathroom.
It wasn’t that he particularly cared about appearances, but Rose and Scarlet had drilled it into him. He shaved, applied some face cream, and put on a suit. They didn’t want him looking sloppy, lest he give people more ammunition against him.
Once ready, Flynn went to the garage and brought out his Koenigsegg-a flashy car that was uncomfortable to drive but fit the occasion.
It was Rose’s request, after all. Women and their obsession with showing off.
Stereotypical, Flynn thought, rolling his eyes.
After picking up Rose, Flynn drove toward the Peninsula Hotel.

The Peninsula Hotel was already buzzing with activity. Stars and celebrities filled the venue, alongside well-known entrepreneurs and business tycoons.
The guests were all high-profile, with net worths of at least $1 billion.
The only exception was Madeline.
Kendal Roy, worried Flynn might stir up trouble, had extended an invitation to her family. This thrilled Madeline to no end.
“Madeline, do you think Nathan will be here?” Paulina Johnston asked excitedly.
“Mom, you’ve already asked me that three times!” Madeline snapped, her emotions running high. “I told you-Nathan will be here.”
Paulina scratched her leg awkwardly, grinning as she said, “I’m just so excited to meet my future son-in-law. Can’t help it, heh.”
Ever since hearing that Nathan “liked” Madeline, Paulina had been dreaming about him nonstop. Today, she would finally get to meet him.
“Do you think Nathan will use this banquet to confess his feelings for you?” Paulina asked expectantly.
Madeline’s face flushed as she bit her lip. “I don’t know. Maybe. Today is a pivotal moment for both sides to make their positions clear.”
“Nathan will definitely share his thoughts.”
In her mind, the outcome was already certain. With Layla bringing in $1 billion in investments, The Sharp’s Group was doomed.
Nathan, seeing the inevitable collapse of The Sharp’s Group, would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to sever ties with them. Flynn would be scapegoated, left to face the wrath of the investors alone.
Then, Nathan would confess his love for Madeline. Together, they would leave for Eahta, ready to begin a life of luxury among the elite.
